First off are your current legal options. Several poker sites have blocked players from certain states from playing in their rooms. Listed after each state are the sites that they are allowed to play on. For example, I'm from New York so my options are Chico, WPN, and maybe Merge, subject to certain zip code restrictions. If your state is not listed, then all networks are available to you.
Restricted states; you can play on:
USD
DC: Ignition + Chico + Grand + Horizon
Delaware: Chico + Grand + Horizon
Kentucky: Ignition + Chico + Grand + WPN
Louisiana: Ignition + Chico + Grand + WPN
Maryland: Chico + Grand
Missouri: Ignition + Chico + Grand + WPN
Nevada: Chico + Grand + Horizon
New Jersey: Chico + Grand
New York: Chico + Grand + Merge + WPN (Merge subject to Zip Code restrictions)
Utah: Ignition + Chico + Grand + Horizon + WPN
Washington: Ignition + Chico + Grand

All US Residents can play for bitcoins on:

[Also various other Bitcoin Only sites, including some WPN skins]
Next is general information about the different poker networks. Restricted States are the states these networks do not allow players from, or at the least from certain areas. There are links that will bring you to their respective threads/sections here on 2+2. Clicking on their respective cashout threads and scrolling through the last few pages will give you a good idea of how long cashouts are taking.

Ignition Poker first, Global is okay, BetOnline is okay, ACR is high traffic... these sites have the most traffic I've seen. ACR #1(for traffic) Iggy #2(for fun)

The days of grinding online poker and making a decent living are over. Time to get a job.
I deleted my response. It's not even worth it really. There are still a ton of people playing online and the main issue today is site integrity and security. Not a lack of traffic or interest in the game. And live poker is most certainly not dead.
Be like water and change with the times. It's not 2005 anymore.

I never said poker is dead. And I only mentioned online, not live. But between people using solvers, the bots, and not to mention the occasional hacker.. it's really hard to earn a good income playing online today. If you can do it, more power to you. But most likely you can't, and your just wasting your time. Even if you aren't playing against a bot, everyone on ACR is super nitty.
Yes live poker is still doing well it appears.

I hear you loud and clear but there are ACR pros that exist and we do have other sites to choose from. I just wish that ACR had more direct competition to push it to be more trustworthy.
As for being nitty - that doesn't mean someone's good. And if they are truly nitty beyond belief, they're easy to play against. But of course you're correct in that the games are tougher today due to solvers and bots.

With the state I live in(Maryland), I have 2 options of sites to play on. Betonline and Global Poker. I was wondering which site is best for me to play on. I'm open to cash, sng or MTTs. I have heard betonlines rake is insane now and global has the vault. But on the other hand, global you cant use a hud. I'd like to know what you guys think. Thank you for all info.

If you have to use a HUD then play on BetOnline. I would say Global cash games are softer and you get rakeback, so if you're mainly going to play cash, global is the clear option.
Global has a free daily $500 and a weekly $5000 tournament. The tournament schedule is better on Global as well. Global wins in both aspects, the only "downside" is the inability to use HUDs and export hand histories.

No one can get evidence bc nothing is open sourced.
I can say that I have lost 13 all ins with 90% equity over the last 4.4k hands on ignition. Just from a bays perspective this suggests something might be fishy. Coupled with 2-3 other pros that I respect saying that they're quitting the site bc it's constant bottom 1-2% runs over >100k hand samples. Is this not compelling?

I would try DriveHud 2, since it works natively with Bet Online. Pokertracker and Holdem need to purchase a hand converter to be able to use their HUD's and track hands.

There is so much to choose :
Bovada ( cash games , zone , double/triple -up sit n go's )
Global ( cash games , sng's , hypers , small MTT's )
ACR ( cash games , sng's , Blitz)
BetOnline ( cash games , turbo sng's)

Global is 2nd best... and the MTTs are good.
ACR has the most options but really their MTTs are the only real value and the reg tables.
BOL :: shrugs :: similar to ACR sorta.

Are you in the USA? If so, I would take a look at Ignition, as they have big MTT traffic. BetOnline is also an option. Coinpoker and SWCpoker are smaller but have some traffic. Some of the apps (Pokerbros, etc) also have a lot of MTTs.
I would not attempt to VPN onto a site that does not allow players from your country.

GGpoker does not allow players from the USA. I would not recommend trying to VPN onto the site.
If a person were to VPN onto the site, I imagine they would be using fake, non-USA info on their profile. And they would have to have some way of getting $ on and off the site that did not involve the regular cashier.
FWIW I think there are plenty of good spots already available for USA players (both centralized sites and apps) and there isn't a compelling reason to get onto GG, not to mention the big risk you'd be taking.

coinpoker games look good but I worry about collusion and botting. Any thoughts?
It's something to keep an eye on these days, no matter what site you play on. I haven't heard anything specific about Coinpoker one way or the other. In general I would recommend to anyone that they don't keep their whole roll on one site, don't put your site roll all into one stake or table, etc. Not sure if I'm explaining myself well, but basically don't put all your eggs in one basket, and if you feel like something is suspicious or shady, stand up from the table immediately. If you have a couple weird interactions on one site/app, stop playing there. etc.

I am looking for a place to play deepstacked HUNL. I am in Michigan. All the sites I have tried have no cash HUNL and all their SNGs are 50 bb at most for maybe 3 mins then 25bb and under after that. Does real poker still exist online? Or is it dead and gone for good?
i would guess there's not much action on the michigan-only sites
i don't think the centralized sites have hu tables...you could always sit hu at 6m tables and get some action that way, or maybe play hu sngs. i think you're allowed to play on ignition, acr poker, betonline, etc...have you tried those?
the apps - like pokerbros, clubgg, etc - should also be available to you.

There is a $11 Limit 08 tourney on Ignition that starts at 20:05 tomorrow 7/10. It appears to be nightly, but didn't fire tonight. It had 5 entries in it before it cancelled. It fires with 6 players.

Ive been on GG for years from merica. There's a lot of misinformation that goes around this topic. You need an agent to get you on without troubles (account verification...etc...) Also avoiding bracelet and live events will make your time easier.

yes of course. the site can freeroll you by letting you grind away paying rake in the basically-unbeatable cash games, and if you were to win big or bink a tournament (which is the juicy part of the site/network), then perhaps your account gets coincidentally frozen and investigated.
do some agents have an inside connection and some kind of "agreement" with management? sure, i don't doubt it. but when push comes to shove, it's pretty uncommon for an agent to be able to protect their player when the site wants the player's money. gg has already proven many times that they are willing to play hardball and don't really care about their reputation.

correct. if you look a few posts higher up in the thread you can see we were discussing ggpoker
ggpoker owns clubgg, and clubgg rake is certainly high (higher?) as well, but the clubgg games can also be much better, with higher rakeback %s

I've recently become disillusioned with Global - the rapid rise in the occurrence of software glitches during this past month - the fact that they have never even made the effort to bring support into the modern age (email response at least a day away - ridiculous) - and on and on. I guess it has just gotten old.
Hence this post seeking advice. I play mostly hi-lo games (PL or FL). A quick trip around the internet seems to suggest that the main options are Ignition, Bovada and BetOnline, as well as ACR and SportsBetting (former Chico?). I play mostly from a desktop, so don't care about the mobile app. Don't care about crypto - I just use a bank account.
Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Bovada/ Ignition are the same site. It offers PLO8. Betonline/ Sportsbetting are also the same site (Chico network). It has PLO8 as well, but it doesn't run very often. Clubs is another possibility--games aren't always running, but they sometimes have 1-2 decent games going, although it's more common to see 6 card hi/low rather than 4 or 5 card.

Just a caution with Global. They are up to about a half dozen states which they no longer allow players from, and recently the list seems to be growing by the month. My guess - effective lobbying from various competitive factions. So just saying, it might not be worth investing your time getting up to speed with them if you have other options that you like.
p.s. Since you are from IL, you will be interested to know that coincidentally I just read in another forum that Global just started charging sales tax of around 10% (probably state plus local) on their coin package purchases. Guessing this means they have arrived at an "understanding" with the state of IL to remain "legal".

WSOP.com
BetOnline
GGPoker
Which of these sites have regular action at mid-stakes PLO (100PLO to 500PLO)? Are there any other sites?

Global Poker is great. 4-5 tables going. 1-2 fish/donks, 3-4 regs per table. Pretty easy. Decebt rakeback, daily bonus, and $5 vouchers mean the bankroll is very stable no matter how good or bad you are. Once you learn the regulars its fun and super soft.

I've been looking for alternative options too. I've been playing in a club via PC/Phone app poker site. Only thing I don't like is you can only multi up to 3 tables. Action is good, games are soft and all, but now their badbeat has been hit multple times, games are not busy round the clock and only have certain peak times. My 2nd alternative is need until badbeat is high and there's games round the clock again.
Let me know if you find another good trusted site.... site or app. Need 2nd alternative when games are not so good in the club I play in.....

I don't know of any other U.S. sites that are totally anonymous. BetOnline has a "no bumhunting" feature where player names aren't displayed until you sit at a table (ACR used to have this as well). I think that's as close as you'll get.

Can someone recommend some great options to play using Crypto Ideally great for HoldEM tournaments.
ACR has the most tournament offerings hands down. However you're playing from global player pool. (With allegations of BOT activity for almost a decade now). They do have OnDemand Mtts which are great for a quicker session. They do implement KYC
Coin poker I feel like is gaining traction but their MTT offerings are not the same as of yet. I've never had to produce documents to withdraw.
I stopped playing on Ignition/Bovada so I can't assert on those.

I'm considering trying it a little bit, primarily to practice my game and log a lot more volume that's subject to rigorous recording so I can see trends better. Ideally looking for some kind of fast-fold format that provides a meaningful challenge and maybe comparable to a decent 2/5 or 5/10 live game. Not interested in the pure money aspect so I don't really care about the stakes as long as it's 50NL or lower and the level of competition is reasonable (i.e. if the answer is some 2NL pool is very tough I'm happy to get reps in there even if it means no serious money can be won - I want to win relative chips, not $$).
My questions run something like:
Casino poker is great in that you can show up, get chips, play poker, cash your chips, and leave. What additional barriers are common online and what sites minimize them? Stuff like needing to give up lots of personal info, being dragged into US tax reporting, difficulty of transacting, etc. It seems like there are lot of shady money models like "sweepstakes" and "clubs" to get around regulation and I'm not very familiar with the models but they sound like an annoying level of complication for someone who just wants to play poker.
What sites and stakes have a consistently available fast-fold pool like I would be looking for?
What is the "barrier to entry" set of extra software and costs to get "standard" statistics? Again, I'm a total noob here but it seems like most online players have some third-party hand recorder that lets you see a huge bevy of your play stats, some sites have integrated HUDs and some require (or ban?) running a HUD overlay, etc.
From watching streams it would seem something like GG Rush & Cash at 10NL or 25NL would be great, but of course that's not an option in the USA (or is VPN a thing?).
It's hard to filter the nonsense from actual concerns about many sites when there are always tons of people complaining that you get banned for winning, the RNG is rigged, all the regs are Russian bots, etc.

You generally don't need much of anything to deposit--just cash out. Most sites are similar--you need to provide some proof of I.D., but nothing too onerous.

ACR, Ignition, and BetOnline all have fast-fold tables. Not sure about Coin--they just updated recently and might have added it.

You'll want to get a HUD if you play at all seriously, but not all sites allow them, and some sites have built-in ones. The 3 sites I mentioned all allow 3rd party HUDS. It's a small investment if you're putting in any sort of volume.
Finally, do not use a VPN to play on a site not available in your area--you won't be able to cash out if you win.

Any of the sites notably better or worse for size and quality of player pool? I occasionally see people saying things like "oh Ignition is totally dead now" or whatever.
Is the software that records hands and shows the redline/blueline charts etc. basically the same as a HUD? From looking around it seems like the popular PT4 and HM3 do both.

In California, which sites can I put in considerable volume at NL200 and NL500? Play mainly in the late morning and afternoon time frame.

Greeting Gentlemen and Gentlewomen,
I have recently decided to return to playing online poker. I used to play long ago when online poker first appeared and before it was made illegal. I stopped after they froze our funds in the online banks that allowed us to transfer money. Now that it is legal again, I would like to resume playing. I want to play at the best sites that offer games and conditions that meet my preferences. The biggest impediment I am encountering is in making a deposit, and,.... having easy access to withdrawal, a very important consideration here. And, also crucial not having to use Bitcoin in which I have absolutely no trust. My banks do not allow debit card deposits to Gambling establishments. My Credit cards get declined as fast as I can enter the info. If I use an E-wallet how do I withdraw funds. In addition, online gambling is not illegal in my state of Mass. How do I get up and running? Please any advice would be welcome.

Luxon Pay is available in the USA.
An excellent wallet.
your card ---> Luxon Pay ---> poker rooms and vice versa
you can also ask for the Luxon Pay card.

I'm in Nevada and looking to play 4 tables of small-stakes 4-card PLO around 1pm PST Monday–Thursday. I also want a site where I can upload hands to FlopHero. I don't want to go through an agent or play on apps.
It looks like GGPoker via VPN is the only real option. But I don't want to risk getting my account frozen.
There's also Coin and Chico. But it looks like I'll have to play a mix of 10, 25, and 50 PLO to get 4 tables.
Are there any other good sites for Nevada?

I've just moved from UK to LA last month for my graduate studies.I had my ggpass registered in Japan in 2024.I tried to login by locking my ip in Tokyo but my account was suspended a few days after and gg now required my GPS access to login.
I was also struggling with which sites I can play now.I used to play on Coinpoker1.0 but the new rake system is unacceptable.
