What deposit options do they offer? Are there plans to release a proper client?

I used a debit card successfully but I've heard from others that some debit cards aren't working. Probably depends on which major brand is on the card. Not sure about the other options. It is one table at the moment and no PLO as of yet. Support told me that both were being worked on for the "very near future". They said they are only in phase 2 of the launch and still testing

I have cashed out twice, and it was very easy. Also, there terms say that you need at least 100 SC to redeem, but when you click to the area to redeem it says you need at least 20. I did it for between 20 and 100 each time, and it worked nicely.

The tax situation is no different than global poker. People intentionally (and their lawyers are retarded) misrepresented their tax policy to try to get people not to play. Today they udated their TOS to not say dumb shit any more and just "you're resonsible for your own taxes". No one is coming after you for winning $600. On another note, it's absolutely ridiculous you still can't multi table. Crazy the numbers they're getting despite that.

The software is garbage. The MTT guarantees make up for all that and then some especially after playing on coinpoker lately. Will be nice when you can 4 table assuming it doesn't crash.

Is there a reason these sweep poker sites are all web based? Is that part of getting around the law? Why cant they have legit clients to download and have better software to atleast multi table and be more user friendly?

The Sunday $110 got to like $150K this weekend. Literally the softest $100+ I've ever played it was like a free roll. I busted to a guy 6bet jamming ATs VS my AA and running off a flush. Wild times lol

Have you done a cashout? They made me fill out a W9 and told me they will be sending me a 1099 at the end of the year (which I am fine with since I report all my earnings anyways). Played on global for years and never got asked to fill out anything.

Cashout requested 2/11 , hit bank 2/14. I did another withdrawal on 3/1 which still hasn't posted to my bank yet. Maybe they're more busy now that its open to the public.

I've tried to piece together information how this site works from reading here, their website, and a couple YouTube videos. Here is what I concluded. Anything wrong or need to be added? -Sign up using some sort of referral code (not sure which is the best at this point) -Deposit using a debit card -Purchase either gold coins (worthless play money, though you can some how win sweeps coins playing in gold coin games) or purchase sweeps coins (is $1 to $1?). Sweeps coins are used in "real money" cash games and tournaments. -Web based client with crappy software. -Cannot multi-table. -Can transfer your sweeps coins to real dollars (again, $1 to $1?) then cash out. Cash outs take about 3 days. -If you convert sweep coins to real dollars in total of over $600, regardless of win/loss, you will be issued a 1099-Misc. Then obviously figure out your own tax situation from there. -Games seem good. Best option for those who do not have a regulated real money site to play on. Also, likely to grow given the attention its been getting lately.

I have never played on on Global Poker. Of course know about it, but never really investigated it. I guess I assumed the player pool was very small. I believe the WPT brand carries more weight. Also between their giant free roll in December and big name ambassadors, they are making a bigger marketing push. This likely has more potential. Of course, being a skeptic, I feel like there may be a catch. Or else why hasn't this been done on a larger scale sooner? Maybe the cost to run is too high.

Sweepstakes model online gambling is being done on a larger scale. A site like Stake.us for example is a massive online casino, much bigger than ClubWPT Gold, that uses the sweepstakes model. The company that owns Global Poker also owns several other online Sweepstakes casinos, such as Chumba Casino and Luckyland Slots.

You cannot buy Sweeps Coins - but you get them free when you buy Gold Coins (for 19.99 you get 20 SC in addition to the 203,000 worthless GC). You can switch to SC games by clicking at the very top in the middle. There is a little thing that shows your GC balance and your SC balance (which might be 0) Click on the right side and it will be SC. You can get a tiny amount of SC free, once a day by clicking on Add Coins (top right) then Daily Login Rewards on the left.

If you find the place to buy Gold Coins and are not told that you get Free SC, then I'd guess you are right and it currently is unavailable for Canadians. I'd guess that will change, but I don't have any info about that. Meanwhile, though that is a disadvantage, on the positive side, you get to live in Canada.

I only asked about PLO and multi table, all they would tell me was the very near future. I also did my first withdrawal on Thursday via debit card (same way I deposited) and just received the money in my bank

PLO is missing big time. Other things that are missing: Player note. Color tagging. Sit out next BB. Wait for BB when joining a table. Run it twice.

Make it so you don't have to click on join table at start of MTT's as it is hard to pay attention to that when playing other sites.

I did a cashout via debit card on a Thursday evening and got the money in my bank by Monday afternoon. I also had the option to cancel all the way until Monday morning. Not sure why yours is taking that long. How did you get the option of a bank wire on Stake.us? I only have crypto options for withdraw and deposit

Tbf he did say he would respond on discord within 24 hours, but I do agree. Having a responsive rep with a brain provides us players with a lot of trust and is a signal of good faith. Global Poker had a good 2p2 rep some years ago and while it would be an annoying gig it was wonderful for the players to have a liaison. Not everyone here is going to be a discord user and everyone wants to be heard without having to wait 72 hours for some outsources zendesk CS staff who doesn't know a flush draw from their *******.

Pretty sure I used code Rampage. My experience after playing on ACR Bovada and such I can say that the feel is human vs human poker hands. It’s refreshing to see actual punters punting and not run into the top of ranges and get botted/GTO scammed every street but Still losing to runouts but WTFEIN, but that doesn’t mean it’s off the table to happen in the future. Guaranteed MTTs smash the guarantee and only allow for 1.5 hrs late reg and have capped Re entries. All things I like I deposited $200 through either Apple Pay or my bank card and it goes through instantly. I like the interface and everything seems smooth. I requested a $40 cash out and it was in my account in 3 days. Cool. I won 1230 and requested a cash out of 850 on (3-17) and it took 3 days for them to send the W-9 which I’ve filled out and sent back today. Unlikely I filled out the form wrong but I’ll post back any correspondence. This is obv a huge turn off as people have said and what’s to stop me from cashing out 200$ a week to avoid the W-9 or once my 3rd withdraw hits the 600$ threshold will that trigger another W-9? A W-9 is just a form that gives them information necessary for them to send you a 1099 at the end of the year. You shouldn't need to do more than one of them, and the $600 threshold is for the year - so if you redeem for more than that in a year they will report that information to the IRS and also send you a 1099.

The more I think about it the more pro W9 I am. Keep these euro turds from vpning. Also will be more difficult for bots to set up farms and multi account

Cool thanks. That’s fine then. I will just have to deduct my losses or get with a CPA. So cash out request 3-17 3-20 Form given today filled out and received my deposit in my account. So now I should be able to just cash out no W-9 again and can report this all as income next year. I’m a fan of this site esp if they diligently go after cheaters and bots.

I don't mean to be Debbie Downer here but with Arkansas adding their state to to the list today we now have Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, Mississippi, Nevada, New Jersey, and New York all have bills to ban sweepstake sites (just hasn't been enforced yet)...... plus Idaho, Michigan, Montana, and Washington already do. Looks like it does vary by stake, as I saw someone post a screenshot on Twitter with a different price. I guess this is designed to speed up the game and minimize tanking, but it’s a pretty weird thing to do.

Was really excited about the launch of this site late last year. Then it turns out

• They launched with the worst software imaginable that was nowhere near ready, and are slow making improvements
• They have tax reporting requirements that are going to screw over the vast majority of their player pool
• They have, by far, the highest rake in the industry
• They charge for freaking timebank!! This site is a complete joke. The truth is, more and more states are going to start banning sweeps sites. ClubWPTGold knows this, and they are operating like it. Trying to suck as much out of the players as they can before they go out of business. Sorry but anyone playing on this site is a sucker

I agree keeps the recs coming some much better than Global.

I signed up yesterday and checked it out. One thing for sure is that they cheaped out on the development side. I get it that it's probably still in beta, but there is just a lot of basic filtering functionality and stuff that should be there and isn't. I bet they spent less than 50k getting that product built. Phil I. is probably constantly wanting free loans like he got with Full Tilt so it probably left their dev budget a little short.

Yeah, but for the poker economy to grow there needs to be options and marketing to get new players in the game. There just aren't many options for new players. I think this is better than say ACR for getting new players involved. If they keep the 1 table only format and somehow remain legal in at least half the states the live poker economy should start to expand at lower limits.

The tax reporting helps make it harder for bots to cash out, and the time bank charge (something like 0.2 BB per 10 sec) makes it harder for people to use RTA software. So those are positives. The software isn't the greatest but it works. For the rake, what do you mean? They don't charge a typical rake by the pot, only a fee whenever someone buys new coins. This is a strange post I don't understand. EDIT: I think the main legit criticism of this site would be that their RNG has not been independently audited/verified. If they fixed that I would give it a 5-star review, but I think I'll address the topic is another thread.

I shipped last Friday's $55 (/brag) and did my first withdraw. They sent me a W-9 form where I could not add today's date on the PDF even when I paid $20 to upgrade to Adobe Pro. Let's see if they use this issue as delay to send me my winnings. The action on MTTs and cash is still pretty good. It will most likely die very slowly. State and Feds take forever to enforce laws even after they pass them. One thing I find really odd is Global Poker exits certain states every single year but ClubWpt Gold still chooses to operate in those states. Gonna be interesting to see what happens. They literally have the same business model except Global Poker has a casino and ClubWpt does not....yet

The donk is wrong. It's based on cumulative withdrawals. If you withdraw $1 601 times you are getting a 1099.

I've discovered that ClubWPT Gold's RNG is most definitely not random. A single day's worth of data reveals this, although there's more, too. Yesterday, I saw quads at showdown four times, even though I only played for four hours max (so ~300 hands or less). One of those times, I was in the pot with the nut full house in a cash game, and the other three were during a tournament—big multi-way pots. I crunched the numbers using Grok, and the odds of seeing four of a kind happen that many times in such a short period at an 8-person table are about 0.05%. And that's not to mention the fact that normally, not every hand where someone has quads makes it to showdown. So that both reveals the fact that action-rigging is happening, while also raising the possibility that even more quads could have been happening that no one saw. So this can't be random variance - it should have taken thousands more hands before seeing quads happen so many times. I used to play live every weekend for years and probably saw quads once a year at most.

Summary of my experience on the site: I won $100 at $0.05 / $0.10 within the first two days of signing up on ClubWPT Gold. I was flopping made hands and getting premium pre-flop cards left and right. Now, weeks later, it's like a minefield where everytime I get a hand, someone has a bigger one or outdraws me - boat over boat, quads over boat, flush over flush, AA and AK pf all in cracked by 85o that makes a random straight, etc. It reminds me of games like League of Legends, where when you start winning too much, the MMR system starts putting bad players on your team or matches you against better teams so you start losing again. Anyway, I'll be quitting ClubWPT Gold soon, and hope that more players move to Phenom.

The issue comes if you always allow the site to know your location. I was having the same issue. I just did a reset of my chrome settings so it would forget my selection. Then when you log in to WPT just allow it this one time. Then you won’t have the issue.

I hit Quads 3x in 2-3 hours at the Horshoe in Chicago one night (tbf I was in disbelief lol). The only logical conclusion is the live Chicago dealer rng is also rigged.

I would like to know where these bad players are from - not like the Global player pool, which is US and Canada. Google shows other English-speaking countries and France (all of EU?), but in 5SC thru 20SC tournaments the majority of players have no clue. Very strange.

Pretty sure they are all from the USA. ClubWPT just did a way better job marketing their site than Global. Guys like Doug Polk and Brad Owen used YouTube to get thousands of players each to sign up to the site and deposit. The result is that the games are full of players that have never played online poker before and have no idea what they are doing.

All you have to do is read the Terms and Conditions for any poker site to see who is allowed, ClubWPTGold is USA and parts of Canada. I don't think they've launched for Canada yet though. Literally the same player pool allowed as Global Poker who's name doesn't have the same reach as WPT in the poker space

Will do, it's kinda a long story. I couldn't find their discord online, is there an invite link or is it restricted access lol. TLDR: My brother played on WPT before I did, lost money, charged back his credit card to get the money back, and got banned for it. Totally fair, I didn't know this had happened though. I started playing a couple weeks after this happened, took second in their inaugral RunGood Ring Event, went to withdraw, and after doing a bunch of ID verification and stuff, they banned me for being "associated with my brother" and said that I would be banned until he "resolved his issue with them." (They didn't tell me what the issue was, so as you can imagine I was pretty pissed off. That's when I talked to my brother and found out what had happened). I really want to talk to an actual person to plead my case, rather than a support rep who has to follow policy and is completely inflexible. I asked the support lady if she could escalate the matter to her supervisor, and she said that she did, but it's been a month and radio silence. Edit: Will add the full story along with screenshots of my convo with support when I get the chance.

I heard from another NV player that he's gotten that message too and it's just a browser problem. I think if you just refresh the browser, clear the cache, or change to a different browser it should start working again (lol).

I just end up using google RDC into my home PC to play until I'm heading home then mobile play starts working fine again. Is that happening for anybody else in any another states? Pro tip: when you first take your seat, immediately press the “sit out” button. Then, sit back in right away. You will not have to post afterwards. There is a limit to how often you can sit out but it should work a few times.

This happens for me as well at Mohegan Sun. I think it has to do with being on the reservation. You can’t play certain other online casinos there as well.

If you do a simple search on any social platform or google you will see the majority of noise are people complaining about gameplay, runouts, and their overall experience. This site is less than 3 months old and the narrative is that it plays like a video game and you dont see anyone with upside. Doug Polk even put in 160 hours and broke even in the "softest games on the internet". Ask yourself why these players play as if it is 2005 but no one is winning... I would go even further and say that the house is using AI bot accounts and they are on a neural network sharing information and know runouts to steal ev from customers to better their bottom line and justify the guarantees that are not filled organically by the player pool. Its all an illusion and a huge scam.

I've not played enough on this site to know if that's the case, but there are lots of accusations of that being the case on global poker. Here's where the neural network idea falls apart. Even if 5 of the 6 players seated are sharing hole card information...It's only a 16% edge over what a player playing alone has.

Daily Log In Bonus has been replaced with a Daily Freeroll Bonus. You now have to spend 3-7 hours gettin that free .25¢ everyday!!!

A non-insignificant amount or they wouldn't do it.

For perspective, if they give out 1k in the freerolls daily, that's 7k weekly. They'd need to have at least 2,350 user who always login for bonuses to make that +EV.

Every week they are changing game format. 2/4/8 (1) got changed to 2/4/8 (2) last week. And then this week the buyin cap was raised from $800 to $1600. I wonder if this will make the games dry up faster. With $30 in blinds + antes and $1600 stacks its practically a 10/20 at this point.

Is changing the game structure repeatedly a new approach to improving game integrity?

Anyone cashed a tournament and not received the payout? I got 2nd in the 33SC Bounty today. I think I got the 45SC for 3 bounties, but I know I did not get the 1,050SC for 2nd place. There's not even a way to prove that I played it as far as I can tell. I feel like I'm crazy and I imagined it, or it was Gold Coins or something. But the Gold Coin tourneys are different. I emailed support, and hopefully they can provide a game history and explanation, but nothing will surprise me.

There is always a grace period of 2 or 3 months where they give players the option to cashout. You may not be able to play immediately but you will have access to your funds. I have seen many of these emails in various forums and received one myself from Bovada last year when they pulled out of my state. When Global poker leaves a state they give you every date....last day to deposit, last day to play, and last day to redeem. It is always at least 2 months and sometimes longer.

Yeah this. My State (CT) banned Stake US and Global while I was actively playing on both and I had plenty of time to get my money off. That said, I am trying to keep as little money as possible on the site for a variety of reasons. It’s easy enough to withdraw and I get credit card points if I need to re-deposit anyway.

The 400bb buyin nearly killed 5/10/20 and cut the 2/4/8 tables in half. Since this site rakes the hell out of high stakes these tables make the site the most money. I hope they don't change it back since I don't want to see high stakes die on this site.

Love this site. Implement structures that are very far from normal non-app games. Limit reg/fish ratio. Offer no buyin/reload/rakeback deals. Constantly mess with the game parameters. I don't know if they know it, but, they're keeping the games healthy.

Control F your player ID, it’s on the page just like the instructions say. It works fine, I just checked my own. Doug Polk wasn’t trolling when said the players on this site are so dumb it’s surprising they figured out how to deposit.

Heard this as well. While I'm ready for multi table I hope there are many other features.......one being PLO

Yeah I play 100NL on there now, so I'm excited about being able to play several tables at once. The reg/rec ratio at 100NL (and even at 200NL when I've jumped in there) is such that it will clearly still be very soft relative to every other site. It makes sense that multi-tabling will have a more dramatic effect at higher stakes.

Client is AIDS. Click on a table with an open seat, spins for 20 seconds then opens and now table is full. Rinse and repeat.

Game quality drastically down today. Reg battling at 2/4/8+ in a high rake environment with antes that encourage hands to go postflop just seems like a bad decision. Granted most the "regs" on this site barely qualify as that. But still, I'm not really willing to pay $80+ an hour in rake for these quality of games atm.

I can still log in via Browser like normal but everytime I try to log in via new client for multi-tabling > I get this generic error message from lack of ability to geocode location properly. I attempted logging in from 3 different devices / computers and continued with same error messages.

Yeah, the rake probably ends up being about 2.5 - 3x what it is on other sites post rakeback. Games have to be amazing to make it worth it. Global poker and WSOP both cap rake at 2/5 to 5/10 at 4-5 bucks. ClubWPTGold is taking $8 in the 2/4/8 game. Also, way more hands go postflop in the ante game, so there are significantly less 0 rake pots won. These sites both have solid rakeback as well. edit: And of course the multitabling launched without notes or player tags

Yes. Mine completely locked up this morning. Tonight I had some freezing and the red bar, but it would only last a second or two.

No issues with freezing or crashing. New table defaulting to the smallest size is super annoying. Also distortion of the fonts at different table sizes needs work. And, for the love of God, please a wait till BB and sit out next bb button. Overall encouraged but hoping to see some prompt updates with fixes/upgrades.

Only when I try to close the table by hitting the x button in the top right. If I use their drop down menu to close the table properly I don't freeze up. Innovative modern software

I cant even get the download to finish on Windows, frozen at 100% but it wont complete.

Amazing that I also live in Vegas and noticed Rampage multi tabling last night yet I still can’t successfully log into their new app client due to failure of geolocation despite my browser still working normal allowing me to log in fine.

When I contacted them about the app geolocation not working they told me that if you are able to login on your browser then you have to also be able to login on the app. Then they stopped replying lol

When you release a downloadable client and the only difference from the web browser is multi table......you can't be taken serious as a poker site. Soft NL games but the site is as unimpressive as it gets

No, I am in the same Vegas valley that Rampage did a multi table live stream last night. I remember a while back I had to allow Chrome browser access for geolocation but never had that pop up or option for this new app client.

Seems to be a common app specific geolocation issue as the mobile browser still works. This seems to be affecting a lot of users hopefully WPT global addresses this issue in an app update soon. Also noticed there is an (add table)on the pull down options on mobile but it simply says to download the app hopefully they are working multi tabling on the mobile browser as I feel most recreational players are playing on phone/ipad.
