[OFFICIAL Support thread] PurePoker Trainer (free on App Store)

Just wanted to see if anyone has feedback, or wants to help me improve this Texas Hold’em trainer I’ve been working on for a while.

It just got approved on the iOS App Store. (yeah)

I looked for a free trainer for a long time. There are plenty of options out there, but the ones that actually had what I wanted also came with a subscription. So I figured I’d just make it myself - and share it for free.

The app is ready now. It has what I was looking for — plus a bunch of drills I didn’t know I needed until I started building it. ;-)

• Hand strength (Speed Ranking) • Win chance / price to call • Preflop study chart (100 / 40 / 20bb) • Postflop spots • HU and 6-max sparring vs the same charts

...and a lot more.

Dynamic lesson adjustment based on your leaks, recommended lessons progress and drill adapted to what you need to focus on based on previous drills.

If you try it, I’d love feedback. Especially if there are drills or features you’re missing.

Version 1.7 is available.

Whats new:

-Heads-up cup — a 64-player knockout path. Six heads-up matches in a row against NPCs, blinds going up, like a real HU tournament. Win and you go on. Lose and you are out.

-6-max cup — one six-handed table. Stacks stay, blinds go up. Five opponents with different styles. Last player with chips wins.

Fresh installs now default to the language of your iPhone/ipad, if it is one of the languages the app supports, English is default if no match.

Version 1.8 in the works.

What's upcoming:

-onboarding, 4 levels (new to poker, amateur, intermediate and expert)

-table layout adjustments

-poker chip animations, bet/fold/win

-card animations, deal/fold

Version 1.9 upcoming in a few days;

What's New for 1.9: Play it Pure — a short live demo of the app, timed to the song (about two minutes). Open it from the home screen, or from Account → Tune.

The song "Play it Pure" will also be available on iTunes, Spotify and other streaming services in 2-3 weeks.

I really need some feedback on "Play it Pure" - song and demo in the app.

Any timing issues I need to adjust? Are the hands the demo uses proper for the lyrics.. and so on.

Drill hands-free with AI coaching - voice only

You can now run PurePoker Trainer drills by voice through mcp connectors, I have been using Grok (free account), including the built in Grok in your Tesla if you have one - also supported by Claude and ChatGPT.

How it works: • AI connects to mcp on our PurePoker Trainer server, You just tell your AI to find your PurePoker trainer drills or ask for a solver look-up.

• It runs your recommended drills, based on your actual progress in the app.

• The AI picks the next drill, reads you a spot, you say what you'd do (fold, call, raise…), and it tells you if you're right and why.

You can ask for explanations and get the logic of the drill/spot simplified or ask for hints.

• Say "skip" to jump to the next one, or ask for any specific drill out of 30+ available ones.

• Everything syncs back to the app, so you pick up right where you left off on your phone.

• The drills and answers come from PurePoker's own library. The AIs just does the talking.

• You can set the roast level, humour and how much poker slang it uses. Mild coach or brutal table banter, your call.

• No timers and no screen needed.

What's really useful: These AI models knows poker very well. Just explain your thinking on a spot out loud, and it'll tell you whether your reasoning holds up and give you tips to sharpen your understanding of each drill. It's a super quick way to check what you actually know and get better fast - or get a hint, or even the answer if you want to cheat.

Setup (one time, about a minute) - when v2.1 is up:

1. Sign in to PurePoker Trainer (app or web) and go to Account → AI voice mode → turn it on → "Connect to AI”.
2. The link ( https://trainer.purpeoker.no/api/mcp) is copied and grok.com/connectors opens. Tap New Connector → Custom, paste, and sign in with your PurePoker account.
3. In you AI model, just sign in with the same account and say "open PurePoker drills, or look-up PurePoker solver.”

Grok in Tesla needs a supported car (AMD chip, software 2026.26+). It also works in the Grok app on your phone, Chatgpt and Claude (beta).)
