Since WSOP locked their thread, why can't we have our own?

Logging into my WSOP.com Nevada account, I see "High Roller Series" tourneys upcoming for January. I can't find out anything online about this series though. Any one know if this high roller series is replacing the normal monthly WSOP.com online circuit series for January?

"You’ve currently earned x APPs and need y to qualify for this bonus". Be careful if you got an email with the above line (unless you earned 0). It could be "need y more". You can add the earned and need numbers and compare it with the number of APPs mentioned in the email when the promotion started.

It's credited all in your account. Not bonus money. I got mine 4 days after the promotion ended last year.

I think I did but I don't check my balance after every session so its possible I just forgot about a session with a small enough win. I seem also not able to opt in to this new DIY Bonus offer. Is that normal- it does say "by invitation only" so maybe its more of a bonus for recreational players?

Has anyone else noticed the new DIY promo says to OPT IN but there's no button to opt in? The button usually always shows up after you've clicked it session after session.

I never seem to get the promo emails just the cash out and deposit stuff. Any clue how to fix this?

Anyone know what the code for the current deposit bonus is? I only see it sometimes on the pop up window when you log in and not on the promotions page on the website. I think it runs until the 23rd but I can't remember for sure.

in irony of ironies i went to the planet Hollywood cage to deposit , wrote down the bonus, asked them THREE times if they applied it and wrote it down. they assured me they did. get back to my room, cant play the tournament because someone in the hotel is playing it and then online chat tells me the. bonus was never added by ph cage and they can't do anything about it. i call the cage and they say its too late, but then they realized i wrote on the deposit paper and are now supposedly calling wsop to try to fix that. i hate wsop with so much passion

they fixed it and she was nice enough to call me back about it. still a shitty system

Almost 46k overlay for the $100 Sunday 100k and it still finishes up at 6am. That's wild.

That makes way more sense.. but 6am is still wild. That plus their payout structure needs work IMO. No one wants to play until 2am to min cash. Stars runs a sunday $100 100k that finishes by 2am. I get that vegas is the priority, but I feel like they are shutting out a lot of NJ recs who work. During a "poker boom" this isnt ideal, right? Multiple times ill be in a weird position where I bust and barely cash, and still am ****ed up and sleep deprived the next day for work. Ill deal with that for a nice payday, but for double your buy in? The difference from 126th place - 26th place was 3bi. 8th and 9th are sub 2k and 1st is 20k. I wonder how they would do running two 50ks back to back on sundays? Like a 4pm and a 7pm est start? Even during the online bracelet events, I always argue that NJ should get at least ONE bracelet event that starts earlier and finishes at a decent hour. Like boowhoo.. vegas guys have to max late reg by 4 or 5pm for one event. You know they all will anyway.

my thoughts exactly, i got shut out of the tournament because someone was playing it in the hotel i was in ,i usually dont play tournaments, and even less nl online so said **** it and played cash , and did play last week (was chip leader a good part of it) busted 6 hours to get a 3x ,and realized i made that in half hour at the cash tables. kinda crazy to me how top heavy these tourneys are

I rarely play that $100 100k anymore and I play full time. Completely destroying my sleep schedule for an $800 cash is nowhere near worth it. It's incredible how little WSOP cares about details like that. And the payouts have been top heavy forever and I agree that's awful as well. They occasionally use a payout structure that is pretty good, but it seems to randomly come out during specific tourneys during a series. It won't even be every tourney during that series; it's often just some random one in the middle and the main event.

The big problem with the $100 is they go 15k/30k 17.5k/35k 20k/40k 22.5k/45k 25k/50k If they took out the 17.5k and 22.5k, and made it 12 minute levels instead of 15, I think it'd be a lot better and get done like 2 hours earlier.

It's way better to have these later levels in there when more money is on the line. The actual issue is like 250bb, 350bb, 700bb, 1400bb, 1800bb, etc. 275 minutes of late reg?? We have 4.5 hours of late reg in a $100 tourney that starts at 6pm in NJ. Could easily cut out 6 of these earlier levels and make late reg 1.5 hours less, but they know a $100 100k is unrealistic unless they have guys putting 10 bullets in so they leave reg open forever. So long as people keep playing it they'll keep running it. Maybe if they ever updated their software to pass the bear minimum standard of allowing someone to bust a tournament and not have to IMMEDIATELY re-enter or be eliminated more people would play. Personally I normally just skip it because I don't want to play from the beginning and quit before the end of late reg, but I don't wanna put 10 into it either, so I don't reg on time. But when late reg is close to ending I realize how late this dumb thing is going to go and can't be bothered.

I imagine a lot of nj people feel the same way. Ever since the MI merger on stars, I'm finding less and less reasons to play on wsop. I'm unsure what their long term plan is? They seem to of given up of trying to get MI in the mix. Theyve never really cared about NJ players. I remember hearing rumors of q1 2024 but havnt heard a peep in a while. Prime time for someone like betmgm to take the reigns. But it seems like they don't give a crap either? Sars might even be in Vegas before and of that happens.

Can't really take WSOP too seriously. Just use it to stay fresh for Vegas live games.

It happened to me at least once before. It corrected itself even though I didn't contact them. I'm wondering if this is something that happens every year for a short time if you don't reach 20000 APP in January and automatically corrects itself.

Yes, for now anyway. I emailed support back and forth twice and was basically told that statuses are not permanent and you have to earn it each time. I finally called and was on the phone for awhile. The guy I talked to was under the impression that each year you had to earn Champions Club meaning that it didn't carry over from last year. I told him that I was under the impression that once you earn it, you have it for the rest of that year plus the following year. This happened to me once in the past, but a week or so later, it was changed back to Champions Club, and my account was credited with what I assume was the difference in rakeback that I missed out on. I told him about that too which is more evidence that it indeed carries over to the following year. Plus, it has always carried over in the past besides the other time this happened. If you read about the rewards on the site, it doesn't say that it does or doesn't carry over. He admitted that he doesn't really know so he "escalated" my case. This was yesterday afternoon. I'm still waiting to hear back.

I lost my Champions Club also. I don't know exactly when it happened. I thought I saw the banner for me being Champions Club in very early February. It's possible it didn't happen in the first couple of days of the month. For the shorthanded leaderboard, the terms say you must opt in, but I didn't see any opt in button from the email or after logging in.

i think you need to maintain certain amount of grinding for you to have champions. I could be wrong

When I logged on tonight, I was back at Champions Club. I haven't reached 100% this year yet, and I didn't receive an email from them. I also haven't been credited the difference in rakeback. Last time this happened, my account was credited later, although I forgot how much later.

Apparently you didn't need to opt in for the shorthanded leaderboards. I would check if the amount eventually credited for the status difference is correct. The difference is 28% more. For example, If you got $100 of points at Elite, it's $128 at Champions Club.

what a sad promotion that short handed leaderboard is. What's the point of it. Anyone that makes the top 10 has to play so much short handed each week. 10th place gets 20 dollars. Even the top spot doesn't get much. Nobody will even play more just to hit the leaderboard because there is no incentive. How cheap is this company?

They're losing a lot of value from NJ customers with the late start times. I for sure would play during the week in the big tournies if they had 2-3EST start times. I can only comfortably play in the big tournaments on Friday and Saturday night. I mean, have one event called Early Bird or something.

It blew my mind how difficult it was to get the answer of "I don't know" to this question. After asking the question, they had to verify my account before responding. The first response was "are you talking about the SNG leaderboard" The second response was "you should wait 72 hours" I pointed out that is was supposed to be updated daily, then they sent me the link so I quoted the promotion page. Then they said I should contact promotions. Unreal how stupid this is.

So I emailed them about my champions club status and it took like 3 days for the guy to respond. He just told me to contact a different email address which when I did it came back as undeliverable. I emailed the main support back and am still waiting to hear back. I noticed yesterday my status had been changed to champions club though. So I emailed them again today to make sure I was getting the full rewards previously. WSOP has some of the worst support I've ever experienced. I remember few years ago when there was still chat reporting a player who told a rec to fold vs me during a hand in a spot because I was a nit and probably had value. I reported this to support and they didn't seem to understand why this was even a big deal. They told me to just block his chat if it offended me. Anyway, rant over.

Mine got fixed. 2 days after I talked to them it changed back to champion while I was playing. No idea about the APP's I'm owed though. If you call them they have way better support. There's really no reason to email them. Their phone service is pretty good and they actually have people that speak without thick accents.

Is NV every going to get another poker site? It's insane that WSOP has a monopoly the market with software they can't and won't upgrade.

mind boggling that in 2024 they wont do restarts on tournaments, or cant even run triple draw, or any type of horse type tourneys
