Edit/MH: Posts moved from old Seals With Clubs thread (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28/internet-poker/seals-clubs-see-new-swcpoker-thread-1248197/). * Update on Seals site. TL;DR: SealsWithClubs will not come back with his current team, you gotta withdraw. Micon will start swcpoker.eu with that new software though. * Edit/MH: by VP$IP m (https://www.twoplustwo.com/post?postId=46274681#post46274681)

... is there a guide or some step-by-step advice for someone who is a complete bitcoin noob, but wants another option to play some poker in the US?

Logical question. No one is born knowing this stuff. Standby... create an account at swcpoker. no ID required. email address required

play freerolls

download a free Bitcoin wallet, Electrum or Multibit

look at localbitcoins.com for a dealer near you. pay cash

and/or sign up with ID and bank account to buy bitcoins at at circle.com or coinbase.com

avoid sending Bitcoins directly to/from circle or coinbase, send to your wallet first, they like to avoid "gambling" sites, don't force them

after you do it, you will feel like a genius

They have a rakeback program, you can check it on their site.

it has way more games than any other site. u can play drawmaha ffs, 2-7, BADACEY, mixed games, the list goes on. f'kin couchieville the staff is super cool so if u want ur own table thats like 3 max with an ante or something theyll just make one for you the softweare is dope and u get built in rakeback heads up tables, its BTC so my stash there tripled without me even playing its been around since forever and nobody gives it a chance wtf

Yes, it's a mystery to me too

 1. they don't ask you for any verification, no documents, nothing.
 2. support is fast and good
 3. withdrawals have a decent speed, at most a couple of hours for the BTC to reach your wallet.
 4. the client is stable and looks like the old-school poker software from the early 2000s, no flashy animations no crazy avatars
 5. there are all kind of games even the lesser known ones
 6. rakeback is excellent
 7. yes, this place should be full of players from all over the world including those countries that have problems with the .com like Australia, France, USA, etc

Is this legit? How soft is it compared to for example WPN?

I mean, if you're looking for 6 total tables running between ~$0.01/0.02 and ~$0.50/1.00 of holdem with a random ~$15/30 table running every now and then, sure, its legit. edit: for reference, its basically the crypto version of intertops with some mixed games thrown in. edit2: and I'm not hating, I like the site. its just a ghost town.

is it legit? I wrote them emails and they responded quickly and to the point. something no longer so obvious with the support of the "big rooms" I ask for withdrawal and receive my BTC in my wallet in a few hours. for me these 2 points are very important, especially the second.

yes you are right, unfortunately the room is a ghost town. Too bad because it should be exactly the opposite. but life often goes like this, for example it's full of bands that deserve to play in arenas and instead play dive bars near the pool table.

SWC is my preferred site, but outside of the absolute micros (fair play to the site for making them rake free) the small and midstakes PLO tables are almost always reg fests. Wish I had a magic bullet for the traffic problem as I'd move all my volume here in a heartbeat if it were viable.

Exactly. every day I open the wpn client, the gg client, the stars client etc etc and the swc client and I start my daily sessions. while I play on the others I keep an eye on the swc client, if there is any decent action I join and play. usually it is that out of 8/10 hours there are only a couple of actions that last half an hour more or less each I understand that this room is not interesting for the recreational player who works during the day and wants to play those couple of hours in the evening without having to wait forever for some action.

2023-Apr-20 the rake was recently raised os the table - https://swcpoker.club/old-rake 5.5% for limit nl135usdt (in the room it is 10/20) and cap 6.75usdt is a very expensive commission, and this is the most expensive cap of all fiat and crypto rooms. it's frustrating.

Two months ago i found an old Electrum wallet with some leftovers and decided to give the site a try as I hadn't been there since the old software they had back in the day. I had a beer too many and lost like 400 chips and forgot about the room until I came across their name yesterday and decided to gamble away the final 200 chips and stay away but I have to say: I haven't had this much fun playing poker in a very long time! I started playing some cashgames which at the start weren't full yet but as time progressed there were multiple tables going. In the mean time I was waiting for The Daily Crumb (750GT). I had a good start and managed to take it down in the end, adding 285 to the balance. While playing the tourney I found a very cash game table where even 4bet pots were going 3way. Not your standard nit stuff but players who were actually battling it out for every chip on the table and it was a truly epic experience. Sure, winning is an essential part of having a good time and I managed to profit in the end. Here, really every pot was splashed with chips, people shoving 2 players of of pots with a missed AK in a 4way pot on the turn. It's like the local bar game full of testosteron instead of the grind that most bigger rooms have become these days. It's because of that grind between regs I quit playing 5 years ago. I love the Doyle Brunson way of playing the game (I always have an out!), but I hate playing a table full of Phil Helmuths (You can't call a raise with a queen and a ten!). I must have won like 300+ chips, ending the evening 7 chips shy of 800. The only annoyance in policy was not being able to use the chat until you get 50 krill. It's probably to keep beggars away from the chats, but then at least give the newbies some preset buttons like "NH", "TY" and so on so they can at least respond to the people talking to them about the hands. I got to the 50 krill after I already won the tourney and people were slowly going offline. When I finally was allowed to speak there were very few people to talk to. The software (I used the browser version) runs very smooth and almost feels like running a regular downloadable client and I loved the ease with which I was switched back and forth between my tournament table and cash game table. When picking 4 color deck there seems to be some lag switching from one table to the next, you'd only see one card and have to wait for the other to appear, but that only happened occasionally and was really the only bad thing in the client. I just switched back to regular cards and it was fixed 😀 I will definately come around more often, but only if I don't have to work the next day since the peak hours were like 1AM - 6AM last night. Can anybody shed some more light on what time the room gets going during the week and are there specific days that the site has a crowd going? During my daytime (right now) there only seem to be some babystake games going. I would really love to know when the room is at its best as I will definately be there in advance to help starting some tables (they give bonus rakeback for that!). This is a great place and I am surprised that so few Americans are still there. Maybe it's because it was a tuesday. Thank you guys for the great fun you provided for me, keep up the good work and see you soon!

Why are you posting false information to promote a more expensive room? Nowhere on the site SwC charges more than 4%. For the NLHE 10/20 the max is 4% with 32 chips cap which is around 2.20 USDT. Instead of raising the rake they actually lowered it. See: https://swcpoker.club/posts/crypto-poker... (https://swcpoker.club/posts/crypto-poker-cash-games/cash-game-rake-reduced). That is lower than CoinPoker's 5% you promote in this thread. Always do your own research when playing somewhere and get the accurate info from the company website.

the rake was bad for a period, and it seemed swc was only doing the bare minimum to keep the site up. however the site has been steadily improving for what seems like over a year now. i hope the improvements continue, perhaps to the effect that we get new better software in the not so distant future. it seems swc is trying to put out a good product lately. i hope the current tournament series attracts some new players that stay.

wow swc still exists? And you can use pt4? I have a lot of bitcoin collecting virtual dust. I might as well put some money on and play some. I used to play on that and betcoin back in the day. I won about 50 btc playing hu on both sits when bitcoin was around 250 a coin. To bad I only kept about half... Other half I lost money on scam cryptos that went to nothing haha. My buddy won about 100 bitcoin back then and used all the money to start a business that went under. We would grind hu all day long and talk about hands afterwards. That was the best days to have another hu end boss to study with daily to get better. Poker was more fun that way. Those days are over now we have solvers... Does moniboy still play on SWC? Everyone thought he was a super user with this weird style he was tough to beat until he started losing and then the wheels would come off.

yes. the site is now at swcpoker.club. reach support by email at support@swcpoker.club. they also have a telegram channel that is somewhat active. the lack of growth has many factors of influence, but i think the lack of exposure has done more to perpetuate the sentiment behind "wow swc still exists?" than any failing otherwise. currently the only advertising i know of for swc is on x.com. traffic picks up during tourney series and rake race promos, but in between these events it can get really slow. on the whole traffic is about right where its always been. about 150 online at quiet times, and around 250 when busy. i think its obvious they need more ad exposure. all the site improvements they could muster wont matter much if they only rely on x.com and word of mouth for exposure.

what did i say that is untrue? i don't know how swc handles cheating. swc never comments on security issues. i know ive reported suspicious play, and those players are nowhere to be found for a while now. i don't know the specifics of the recent multiaccount investigation. all i have is hearsay on that topic. edit to add: i placed 3rd in one of the satellites mentioned above and i won a 500 chip ticket. some of the satellites did have problems issuing tickets but as far as i know that was resolved.

The site seems to be incredibly cheap. They don't do anything for their regulars who paid tons of rake. They had a 500+ krill freeroll The other day and they only gave 15 minutes to register and only five minutes of late registration. All that was at stake was two 500 chip tickets and they still got about 60 entries in that short time. Why isn't the registration time the same as every other tournament for like hours before it and hours of late registration? Why don't they do any type of tournaments for people with like 10k krill? I also don't understand why it has to take so long to withdraw from a bitcoin site. Sometimes withdrawls take 24 hours to be approved. I'm not talking about the speed of the bitcoin network I'm talking about approving the withdrawal to start the transaction.

Yes, of course, gd1990 belongs to me. My only goal here is to warn others about what happened. I don’t want anyone to get scammed the way I did, which is why I spent hours writing this article and sharing it in multiple places. This is just a cautionary tale, nothing more. Honestly, it seems like you haven’t even read the article. If you want to defend SWC, at least read it first and give me solid arguments why they were right. So far, no one has been able to provide even one valid argument in their defense. Maybe you can be the first? 😉

Their claim? That I used multiple accounts to manipulate the game. The reality? Most of my winnings did not come from the accounts they claim belong to me (MichaelDE & Caroline93) but from well-known regular players on SWC Poker.

...yes, that would be the point of having multiple accounts in the same game. To collude against the other players and take their money. What would actually help your argument is if you posted every hand history from that session.

3⃣ NEW DATA: while cleaning my laptop I found the complete hand history from my 10-hour session. Since SWC refuses to publish it, I will. • Who played, when, and with what cards. • Exactly where my chips came from.

I didn't look at that playing History in full obviously, but I've looked at it till ~"Line 5000" or so and it comes to mind that either literally everyone at that table is playing poker for the first time or this is the softest site ever and you actually may make more Regs join this site when people See this. Wether or not you are at fault or not I won't comment, because I have zero expirience with this site, but there's loads of stuff looking weird there over the small sample I have seen already. Just my 2cts...

do you think its likely that at the equivalent of $20/$40 NL, on a site where a hand full of crushers open sit the lobby all day, that there is just a table full of droolers punting about? or one dumbass so blatantly multi-accounting with 3 accounts in the same game he couldn't make it past one session before ban? its kinda moot because the site is tumbleweeds, but I've played here for like a decade and feel they do a pretty decent job of policing the games.

This is NL4K?! I didn't know what the equivivalent of "Chips" is over there, but in this case it looks even worse obviously

Tell me about it! I've written about it here many times, but unfortunately it seems that those who run SWC don't advertise it and, in fact, very few people know about it.

what would really help your case, popek, is if two other verifiable humans were also proclaiming their innocence and claiming ownership of the other two accused and banned accounts. instead its as though youre the only one who cares about this.

it's truly a shame. the browser client is fantastic and they've never had any issues with cash outs, etc...and they have so many obscure games, including kansas city lowball and open face chinese. but the nlhe action sure dried up as of late. :(

True. An old-school client that works well, with "modern" options like "Run it twice" etc. All kind of games from the most popular to the most obscure. Rakeback directly in your cashier the morning of the next day, without delays. No documents to present to register and make withdrawals. Withdrawals in BTC hit your wallet in a few hours max. But very few players... 120, 150 maximum 200. It should be at least 10,000, since you can play in almost every country in the world, without restrictions. These are the mysteries of life, like those bands that should fill arenas all over the world but instead play in dive bars . :(

This popek guy is "FreeMarketCapitalist" on bitcointalk, a member with 'legendary' status. I assume he didn't want to taint that account with suspicion of collusion so he created the popek1990 account on there to complain about getting caught ma'ing. He then posted in support of popek as FMC and trashed anyone who presented opinions or evidence of his cheating. Collusion is as clear as daylight in the hh's he posted. Makes sense that someone willing to multi a poker site has no qualms about doing it on a forum either. Glad you got caught you cheating scumbag.

(https://twoplustwo.com/Discussion-of-Poker-Sites/13oqh/Crypto-Poker-Rooms-Are-Exploding-Safer-or-Riskier-Than-Traditional-Sites) I read this post and can't help but think about SWC. It's failing to attract players at all. How is this possible? I've read everywhere that American players are increasingly finding fewer rooms to play in, and here, instead, no KYC fast BTC withdrawals and good software. If Coinpoker right now has 3,436 players online, SWC should have at least the same number, not 137.

Coin markets towards poker players, SWC markets towards crypto people. There are rarely any games running on seals, and random people aren't looking to sign up and game start. On a broader scale, I think the seals team is a very small number of people (like 2 or 3) who got rich by taking rake when btc was low and 100+x'ed that amount over time. I'd guess they are happy to sit back and let the handful of regs battle it out while they maintain their profits.

do they have there rng tested for randomness? Played a few thousand hands there. Played millions of Hands on Stars an other sites but never seen so much paired flops there. insane

Thanks, I found the PC client at swcpoker.eu and the forgot password reset code option worked. I was looking in the web version before, so that explains why I missed it.

It should be your old screen name, not your ISP name. If you’re not sure, check your account or poker client profile, or ask SWCPoker support to confirm the user ID tied to it.

Real players. Deep discussions. Better poker.poker.forum
