Hi Use [reqProtect] tag for minimum defense frequency. I don't know what is "befe", sorry.

Not a major issue but I used hotkeys to add colour coding and it seems to have stopped working last month when Stars did an update. Is there a way to fix this?

This may depend on a poker client version you use now. Do you have this option enabled?

Try to change it. If this doesn't help, then please let me know what type of Stars client do you use (com, es, eu, some else) and what build number. Also check if Pokerstars client is configured to run as admin (and StarsCaption too)

Hi. I mean if you look at the stars lobby and click on the New Year's tab for tournaments, you notice how the font of the wording looks like normal. But when you click on the tournament tab, you notice how stars software changed the font of the word of the tournaments. I disabled Stars update as they messed with the audio so it was no longer running as admin. Switch to run as admin and now it works, thanks!

Ok I'll try to add a tag to hide HUD panels while action button blocking is active. For now you can use Table highlight to indicate this state on the table:

Thanks for the tip! Graying out buttons might actually be better, since in case of a malfunction, the buttons will still be visible despite being gray. Either one would be an improvement anyways

Hi,So the reason why I would rather use the option where native setting opens lobbies is that it takes resources from starscaption to open that lobby where the native setting is far more efficient. I am not 100% sure if the native setting is supposed to open the lobbies when registering or when the tournament is opening(?) I assume the logic you used here was that the lobby opens with the tournament with this native setting similar than it does with starscaption opening them. However, given that the lobbies opened instantly after registering (after my break) for me it seems like they are either only or also opening with registration. Also tried to restart starscaption but that had no effect whatsoever. If both are happening it has to be some kind of weird phenomena of the stars client. Not sure if it is even relevant for the logic when the lobby opens(?) What do you think?

Hi There is no this tag in Tag color range, if you mean StarsCaption (888Caption has it there). I can add it to this option if you need it.

Initially it worked as expected so tables opened with the lobby and were hided. TL was working fine. Also noticed performance boost with this setup as expected. Then after I paused all my play and continued after short break the lobbies started to open the same time I registered to the tournaments for some reason. So basically I click register and at the same instant lobby pops up. Caption also did not move these lobbies at all once the table did eventually opened. Going to try it couple more times but expecting this to happen again. I think lobbies opening together with registering is client related not sure why caption did not process those then once the table opens(?) Or perhaps the logic is such that it requires the lobby to open at the same time than table initially to hide them(?) So basically if I have lobby open already before the game has started and then the game starts it seems like caption does not move the lobbies at least with this setting on. Not sure if TL is still working when this happens though did not try that yet.

1. Turn on Options / Logging / Betscript log before starting a session.
2. Take lobby screenshots which remain on the screen (I need tournament numbers)

Hi, tested some more and I am 100% sure that this is actually how the native setting works these days. So lobbies can open with the table opening or optionally they start to open when registering for some odd reason. I know this because I regged without caption being open and it insta opened lobby when I was registering to a tournament. I must add to the previous message that caption actually does then move these hanging lobbies when the tournament opens and tl is working fine. So what is needed is a small modification or option for caption to always move lobbies when they appear. Maybe it is not ideal because then you cannot manually open lobbies at all but the performance boost this method provided is all worth it imo. Besides if lobby is then needed for some reason I guess you could switch mode from sc. So in short make it "always hide lobbies" mode. What do you think?

Same here - StarsCaption snap closes when I join a Zoom pool. Also, no player HUD panels are working when observing tables. I'm on the UK Stars client which updated today, so I guess the update is the issue.

I just managed to do it by moving "Left-bottom checkboxes" out of the table, and then bringing "Fold to any bet" checkbox back to the table

Sorry for the delay. I tried to put it like this, expecting that it only hides in x2 multipliers. I'm guessing that the formula means to hide if multiplier less than 3, am I wrong maybe?

Also, another question: Is there any way within the caption to have the same color for the background of the table for all multipliers? Thank you for your fast responses!

I think this option does not work with the current version of the poker client. This method of updating the lobby worked before, but then they updated something in the client and I couldn’t find another way to force the lobby to update

I thought about it. It will work, but with significant restrictions. Autoupdate of TL tags doesn't just open a lobby, if also does this:

1. Activates Structure tab in lobby to update some tags there (information for about a dozen TL tags is there)
2. Activates Home tab back
3. Clicks a button that opens a list of prizes and resizes a lobby so that prizes are fully displayed there without the need for scrolling (prize tags will not work correctly without it)
4. A small lobby resize after this to initiate a redraw of the lobby and update the values of the tags received by the program. If you don't need TL tags and tags from the Structure tab, then you can turn off Autoupdate of TL tags and just use a lobby slot behind the edge of screen. But if you need them, then you cannot do without all the manipulations that StarsCaption does to obtain all the necessary values for the tags

They seem to behave the same way: show the (waiting) table name associated with the current table, both on short tables and normal ones.

I also found an issue with the auto-shift option. Whenever I close a table, the tables shift as they are supposed to, but exactly one table on a slot marked to NOT auto-shift also moves. This isn't consistent. I had it when this option came out, then somehow managed to fix it and now having this issue again. I've changed the order of my slots, so that might be related somehow.

Can you please show me a table screenshot with this tag displayed on a short table, and also a screenshot of a target table with full title visible? I'll try to see if I can notice any features that may lead to incorrect operation. As for auto shift - can you please send me that TM2 config? You can find it in c:\StarsCaption\TableManagerConfigs2 folder, this is a file with config's name.

By default Test10, Test12 and Test23 are enabled. Yes, all of these options are for troubleshooting and backward compatibility. Sometimes I change the default behavior of the program in some situations, and using these options you can return the old behavior or change it in some other way. Usually this is not necessary if everything works correctly.

Hi, sorry if it's been asked before. On Starscaption, sometimes it opens an extra spin (5 in my case) even though i have 4 max. I tried different values for "Registration timeout", but it doesn't seem to change much. I have this configuration.

Hey, another problem I have on Starcaption. Sometimes it bets/calls without me pressing any button. Sometimes it's donking 1bb, or doing a min3bet or calling a shove. It doesn't happen much but maybe once/twice per day and it's quite annoying and EV-. Do you know why this could happen? This is my hotkeys configuration. Thanks in advance!

vladivostok, please write a log for both cases. To do it:

1. Turn on Options / Logging / Betscript log + SpinReg log, restart StarsCaption if these options were disabled.
2. Play
3. If you will have 5 spins open, send me StarsCaption.log and StarsCaption.ini files from StarsCaption folder
4. If you will have a spontaneous bet, then take a table screenshot right after that and send it to me with both log and ini files. If you use any other programs that can click something on the table (Jurojin, for example), then make sure that the reason is not them. Clicking the raise button may happen accidentally due to features such as Auto time bank, Never sitout, Auto cash out, if something in the program is configured incorrectly. Try to disable all these options and check if the problem is resolved. However, no user has ever reported this, so I'm guessing it's most likely due to some other program you're using.

I did the hud table panels onhover payouts. When I first did it, it showed the payouts on the table. By default, it's the entire full current payout list or the final table payout right? However it took a lot of space on the table so I did something where the payouts are no longer on the table. So I'm not sure how it looked. How do I make it reappear again? I even deleted that thing and add it again and it doesn't show up. There isn't much space on the table because I have hud stats throughout the table so it would basically block stuff on the table. I want to have the payouts shown vertically on the table but only it appearing when I want it. Like imagine you click on the tournament lobby and the payouts show up but it's a different window though. Thus clicking it or clicking a hotkey would make it go away. I'm not sure how to do this part.

I don't know what exactly you are doing wrong. First, make sure that this panel is visible (add some text there to find this panel on the table). Make sure other TL tags are working. Yes I know this takes up a lot of space. You can use OnHover to see in in popup as I described above, or you can create a panel that opens when you hover the mouse, like this: Payouts[h][c=/][TL_payouts]

For starscaption, is there a way of combining rules in "Table highlight"? For example, "Hero action" AND "Pot in bb > 30", etc

Would also be nice to have the option of highlighting a table where we are on the waiting list.

1. No, but for many cases you can configure it indirectly:

• configure "Pot in bb < 30" with zero highlight (with Frame width = 0, for example)
• below this rule configure "Hero action" with a highlight you need (with Frame width = 6, for example) - and this frame will be activated for "Hero action" AND "Pot in bb > 30" only

There is no way to do it, but you can configure OnHover / Tournament lobby and you will see whole lobby with all prizes in popup.

Yes I've gone through this checklist and still have the problem. As stated all other tabs on 888caption seem to be working correctly, just the HUD not visible.

This is a button in General HUD, and with it you can turn on and off auto rematch for blasts. So you can open several blasts manually from the lobby, click this button in General HUD, and play. New blasts will be open automatically further, and to stop it click the button again.

Hi, I play spins on stars using starscaption and I am having trouble with incorrect table popping-up and activation. I tried using new table manager configuration with single active table slot and other slots around it, so I would play only focusing on this bigger central active table slot, but regularly the tables that are not in the active slot activate. So, my hotkeys work on another table that isn't in active slot resulting in misclicks. I later made active slots for each regular slot all with same size and position to kind of stack active tables in the active table slot area, which made it less problematic, but still from time to time an urgent table that "pops up" would steal the focus from my active most urgent table. Is there a way to fix this or maybe some settings I should try?

For some reason i can't get 3bet formula to work from the button. It works with one open raise but with one raise + call it still remains as if there was only one open raise. So it always just 3x the raise.

I tried Prevent table activation and it didn't help with my issue. I already had time bank set according to suggestion. I was using TM settings for my setup, but I changed to TM2 since you mentioned it. I played around with settings and got it to work pretty much the way I want it now without issues. This still crops the lobby. I play cash games and with this new minimum width, there's an insane amount of empty space in each column.

Not sure if there's a way to fix this.

I managed to bring it back by changing my settings as shown in the images in Pokerstars and StarsCaption 😀

Hi Do you have Sit out next big blinds checkbox visible on a table? What version of StarsCaption do you use now, and what type of Stars client and build number? Do any other hotkeys work work you?

For the longest time I've been dealing with stars freezing and or crashing issues. I previously though it was due to stars because every second client release worked while the next one had issues. Then I thought it must be starscaption and currently I believe it is both. So basically I mostly (pretty much always) have the freezing issue whenever new table(s) open. Mostly it runs ok albeit it almost always lags a bit when tables are opening. Sometimes it is even very snappy which is all just weird af. Sometimes and with some versions of the client usually during peak stars hours starscaption as well as pokerstars client become unresponsive. It freezes for multiple seconds and this is also where you in the past got "please restart your client" thing at pokerstars. What do you think? Can stars lagging cause starscaption to somehow become unresponsive? Its weird that 1. It seems to mostly happen when traffic is high and 2. If client freezes every time I have tables about to open. I think it has happened without anything opening which makes it even weirder but 99% tables are about to open when it freezes. Other than that if I set custom layout to resize table to the correct size natively and untick windows10 gap correction thing will the manager still touch the table size somehow before putting it to grid? I was suspicious of the instant table resizing in particular and tried to first resize the table with custom layout setting and then move to starscaption grid but it had no effect to the issues. I use the smallest available size for the tables.

Thanks. I will play around and see. By the way, last time I crashed mid session couple of things happened that have never happened before. 1. There was no restart your client message pokerstars just vanished suddenly. 2. After re-opening the client the table manager did do its job but the rest of starscaption did not. Hud layouts, modded themes and everything else was missing. Basically it put tables into place but did not work otherwise. After restarting caption it did work as expected again. How does this sound to you? I somehow recall that when I had crashes before this kind of thing did not happen and when the client was restarted caption worked as expected. And usually if I re-open the client (without crashes) leaving starscaption running it works as expected so just wondering what was different with the latest crash(es) then compared to just opening and closing the client from starscaption perspective.

123AA, I can imagine this. In most of cases StarsCaption will work after client restart, but it some cases it will not work and you will have to restart it too.

Hi, regards to my earlier struggles I think if table manager 2 could have a slight delay placing the tables to the slots it would take away some of the burden for the client. In my experience the client has bigbig performance troubles with tables opening and esp multiple ones at once. Would it be possible to add simple modifiable timer before setwindowpos does its job? Don't really mind if the table sits idle few secs after opening if that will put less stress to the client. There is a delay before any game play starts anyway.

Hi Unfortunately I don't have an account in any new 32bit client (four US WSOP clients and 888poker Ontario). By this reason it's very difficult for me to make new releases for these clients, because 888 doesn't allow to open tables without login (PokerStars allows it, for example). Filled notes made for 64bit clients in 888Caption64, but unfortunately I don't see an easy way to do this for new tables in 32bit clients. If I had a way to create at least a playmoney account or open tables without a login, then I would do support pretty quickly. But doing this blindly is extremely difficult, even if some of the users assist me.

Which version of caption are you using with the new software? I tried the old alt version and the newest 64 bit version and nothing is working

888Caption2 worked and it has an auto update option. It's not 64-bit or alt. If someone took your screen name, maybe it will cause a problem

lowkey12345, for WSOP client you have to use the latest version of 888Caption2 (it is 888Caption2 v2.78d now). If you had a license and your screenname has been changed, then please give me your old and new License IDs and I'll update it.

It's decent solution but it will sometimes show when no Bluff Equity is shown (for example villain is all-in then % sign will show but not Bluff Equity). Anyway this is very minor inconvenience. Ty for this amazing app making PS very nice to multi-table.

Until I get this sorted out, is it possible to show the note editor with a hotkey? Left mouse click on player name etc.. won't bring up the note editor anymore. Everything else (hotkeys, hud, table editor) works fine tho.

In this case Caption can't click it too. Caption doesn't have any magic like "activate time bank", it just click buttons (and it can't click a button if there is no button) I have no idea why 888 and WSOP are removed time bank button in these new client versions, you can try to ask them.

Hi, Thanks. Tested with 1000ms and as expected it seems to keep the client more stable. I did have a reallyreally weird "side effect" once when several tables were opening at the same time. Somehow the client native buttons that starscaption have nothing to do with got "stuck" for the hand in a very weird way. I think it was 100% client related whatever that was. Got no settings with caption that should touch those buttons in any way. Usually in such scenario when so many tables have opened at once the client has frozen but not this time with this delay which is the main thing. So definitely it helps. There were also other benefits. I think it totally removed the jumpiness/choppy of the client while tables were opening.

It's not me who wants it. It was the developers of h2n who wanted it to implement their functions (for example, it was necessary to implement HUD in zoom, to hide HUD for player after fold, etc)

Ok, but if you reopen table with unchecked box, then it works correctly, right? Unfortunately I can't check this directly now and I will need someone's help (I don't have Stars.com account and PokerStars doesn't allow to set color labels without logging in) If you can answer my questions, then maybe I can figure out what exactly is going on there.

There is no such option in StarsCaption, but you can find custom table themes with filled labels or edit them manually (they are just image files in Stars) AFAIK for regular themes you need to edit avatar_frame_note.png and pod_note.png files, and for Carbon pod-_-N.png You can find them somewhere in Stars folder. You can try to find edited files here (https://ru.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?postid=24575253#post24575253) (I'm not sure if this link still works), or try to find it here on 2+2, I think there should be a thread about Stars themes here too

What exactly do you mean? Do these hotkeys not work if the checkboxes are invisible? Or Close the table hotkey doesn't work? Or something else?

Strange, it works for me It will now work if you Clickable disabled, or if you turned Clickable on while Hide left bottom checkboxes already was enabled and tables were opened. Can you please try to turn on both Hide left bottom checkboxes and Clickable, reopen table and check it again?

Partycaption has several issues after an update on BetMGM in Michigan (I'm assuming all of the NJ and PA clients as well) today. The positions are not being read properly and then bb is not calculated appropriately. The scroll wheel for bet sizes is also not working properly. Those are the few issues I have found so far.

Was just forced to update to the latest PS software version 69689 and now SC (1.17j) doesn't seem to be able to change "Pod opacity" anymore.

Yes, that's probably true Unfortunately there is no easy way to implement this function in the same way now because some things have changed in the poker client. I will see if I can make the same implementation

The program contacts the server twice - 1st time at start, and the 2nd time at license checking (after the poker client is launched and logged in). After this there is no network exchange and you can check it yourself using any traffic control tool.
