The Bankroll Challenge

Dear members,

We are happy to bring back and improve one of our most successful promotions - The Bankroll challenge. It's purpose is to make you set and reach goals, as well as build your bankroll and share the experience with the community!

How can I participate?

• There is a single condition in order to participate - you must create / maintain an active blog.

• This promotion is not time restricted - you can join the promo at any time - you just need to opt in in this thread, putting the following info:

  • Link to your Blog on PokerStrategy.com

  • Your starting Bankroll

  • Your goal - the bankroll you would like to reach

• The minimum goal is set at $500 and you need to increase your bankroll by at least 5 times.

• You can increase your bankroll with:

  • winnings from the poker tables

  • bonuses and rakeback

  • prizes won from poker promos

• At least by every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month, every participant must write a meaningful blog post in his personal blog. This may contain hands played, numbers, graphs, basically anything of interest.

Tip: be specific, as it will create better and more frequent discussions.report in his blog a report, including:

We do recommend to share your thoughts, difficult hands and to participate in the discussion more frequently than that! It helps you to be more accountable.

Your blog may be in any of our language forums!

• After creating this post in your blog you should post in the following thread:

  • number of played hands / tournaments in that period

  • bankroll movements in USD or EUR

  • Current bankroll

What can I expect from this challenge?

We will release a news twice a month news with the current results of all participants in the promo. It will contain a ranking of all players with their bankroll increase in %. Depending on that increase participants will have different ranks.

Furthermore we will raffle $100 once a month among all qualifying participants who fulfill the reporting criteria.

Whenever a participant reaches his goal, he will enter a special "Hall of Fame" and will get a 1 month status increase (minimum to Gold).

Furthermore the player will receive a badge, showing him as a person finishing the BR challenge in his and any other blog.

He can then decide to re-enter the promo with a new goal.

Participants are required to stay active. At our discretion we will remove participants who had been inactive for too long. However, you may re-enter once you come back

Why should I participate in this challenge?

There are several reasons as to why you should participate:

  • Competition leads to motivation - you will always have your goal in mind and will know why you are playing poker

  • You and your blog will get more famous in the community as we will mention the most notable participants in our news

  • You can get status upgrades, $100 and other surprises from PokerStrategy.com

Another try to go from zero to the top And for this challenge I will play on Natural8, GG network.

Starting bankroll - 0

Current bankroll - 56 €

Goal bankroll - 10 000$

I've started my own challenge in July, played couple of freerolls which helped to leap from 0 to 4$. At the end of the month sharkscope showed me being in profits for 56€ which was not a great result but still better than nothing Next update planned on August 30 and hopefully the figure will be much higher

Because of my goverment i am not able to play any more from oct 1st. It will take 6 months if we lucky to regulate online poker for PS. So ill think this challenge has been ended or on a verry long break. Boys and Girls keep grinding for me and see u later.:f_frown:

I don't know how important it is, but one of the criteria of the challenge is to increase your bankroll by 5 times.

Your goal would then be $3750

I decided to create the bankroll challenge that I am going to start. In it I will take my progress and also tell the odd story or whatever happens to me at the tables in my sessions. Everyone is invited to comment what they want, there are no restrictions. It will also help me to make friends and improve my English, since I speak Spanish.

I've decided to opt in in this challenge, with a starting bankroll of $88 and a target goal $500. Since this particular challenge has no time frame, I've decided to make up a side challenge for myself that you can read about in my blog:

Hi pawel9 - while you are totally free in setting your personal challenge, as part of the "official" bankroll challenge we require the users to at least 5x on their investment in order to have a meaningful and tougher longterm challenge!

I kinda did this on the dutch forums already, but due to the severe lack of activity I'm applying here to share it with more likeminded people

What you can probably derive from the thread is my intention to go from $0 to $1000 as a Mini Ferguson Challenge. I'll clarify later. So I basically started with $ 0 on GGPoker, playing the daily freebies to get some pennies and later 6max NLHE cash games on NL2. I still do the daily freebies as much as I can, at least while the earnings are still relevant compared to my bankroll size. I moved up to NL5 recently.

After tonight's short session I arrived at $134.30 and an extra $8.23 in C$, so in total $142.53.
