Hi everyone,

Now that my first challenge here is complete I want to make a bigger one.

My last challenge ended with me getting 1000 $ in the form of T$ ( tournament dollars ) after I managed to finish 1st in the Monthly Scholars Leader board on Pokerstars. Now I want to turn that prize into $10 000 cash. So for that I had my Pokerstars account emptied so now I have only $T1000.50 that I can use it to buy-in to "any" tournament and also I have two $11 tournament tickets that I did not use to play the WCOOP this year.

This is the plan...

  1. I plan to reach my goal in max 2 years ( this is a long term challenge and for me is important to have a time goal also )

  2. I will not withdraw any funds from my Pokerstars account ( I have a job so I do not depend on this money )

  3. Most important one : !!!

  • I will play tournaments within the 300 buy-in bankroll management (with $1000 I can easily play $1.10, $2.20 and $3.30 daily regular tournaments )

  • If I get under the 250 buy-in for the $3.30 tournaments ( meaning under $825 ) I will play only $2.20 tournaments and lower.

  1. I will review my hands played in HM3 and post the most important ones in the Tournament Hand Analysis part of the forum so we can discuss what went good or bad.

  2. I will (like I do) every week read articles and watch videos of MTT strategy

  3. I will not play any satellites to the big buy-ins tournaments ( sunday million, sunday storm and any big tournaments that Pokerstars will have ) for the beginning of this challenge*

  • This might change if or when I get to have a bigger bankroll $3000 - $4000
  1. With the 2 tickets that I have I will play two $11 tournaments but at this time I don't know exactly which ones.

  2. This Challenge will start tomorrow 1.10.2022

That being said this are the tournaments that I will try to play daily: ( I might not play them all every day )

And this is my Bankroll at the beginning of this challenge :

And the tournament tickets that from 1st of October will be regular $11 tickets:

I'm very excited to start this new challenge and see what will happen

I wish you all a good day and take care.

A lot of effort in a short time, a real nice plan full of realism, a way of writing, that is nice to read;

I have no clue of tourneys, but I`m IN!

Weekly update no. 1

Played from 01.10.2022 to 09.10.2022

Hi all,

First update on the new challenge, this past week I played only 26 tournaments. It wasn't a great week but I managed to cash in some tournaments and turn some T$ into a bit of a bankroll

As you all know Pokerstars had some major connectivity issues last week and I was impacted by them also ( like a lot of you ), at that time I was registered into 6 tournaments that where cancelled (I like to register into all of the tournaments that I want to play right when I start my sessions so I can concentrate only on playing the tables that are opened ) and I was playing another 3. They gave me back the buy-ins into real money and not tournament $, so at least that is a plus

I played also the Sunday Storm with one of my $11 tournament tickets, unfortunately I bust out before the money places...still have one more $11 ticket.

I only have some result ( print screens ) from Sunday, I forgot to get those from the beginning of the week.:f_mad:

So the Bankroll is :

Played from 01.10.2022 to 09.10.2022

Starting Bankroll: T$ 1000.50

Current Bankroll: $26.75 + T$ 967.15

Profit from last week: - $6.60

Goal: $10 000

Still a long way until 10K but we keep going Have a good week

I thought - wow, 3x 1st place! ..but it is just the sorting of the tourney that shows you on top when you searched. Next time better luck!

Thank you. I like to add to this thread almost all of my tournament cashes ( sometimes I forget to print screen some ) so every one that read and follow my journey see how I got there

Hi guys,

Yesterday I managed to play only one tournament since I was a little tired after work and I played only the $1.10 scholars and finished 24th so I am happy that I made that decision. I rather play fewer tournaments then to overload myself and in the end loose money.

Have a good day and good luck at the tables.

Weekly update no. 2

Played from 10.10.2022 to 16.10.2022

Hi all,

For the past week I played 54 tournaments and had some nice results this week :f_grin:.

I still play the scholars tournaments since they have a very nice value and the potential of finishing at the end of the month with some more T$ in my account. I also had some nice results in freerolls and managed to win one Played also the daily $3.30 and $2.20 but no significant results ( only some bounties and some min cashes ). I tried to qualify to WCOOP low since they have freerolls every hour with 2 seats GTD, but those tournaments are pure lottery nevertheless you never know. Also I am reading and trying to improve my game in those bounty tournaments where seems that people like to play wider then regular, so I am searching to find good strategy videos and articles for that type of game.

So here are some of my result this week and also on Scholars Leader Board I am on 25th after first 2 weeks of games:

Scholars Leader Board at 17.10.2022

I also have some tickets won from completing the PSPC Ticket Machine challenge just by playing.

So the Bankroll is:

Played from 10.10.2022 to 16.10.2022

Starting Bankroll: T$ 1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $26.75 + T$967.15 = $993.9

Current Bankroll: $115.89 + T$946.70 = $1062.59

Profit from last week: + $68.69

Goal: $10 000

Have a good week and good luck at the tables

Hi guys,

So yesterday I use one of my $11 tournament tickets to try to qualify to Sunday Million. I played a satellite with 50 seats GTD and I managed to qualify.

My problem is what tournament should I play? With the $109 ticket that I won I can play a regular Sunday Million or I can play the WCOOP Main Event Low so I don't know which one to play.

So what tournament would you guys play?

Hi,

you should include time management into this. Are you available for all the WCOOP timings, if you run deep? On the other hand Sunday Milly is a KO this week, so one more thing to take into consideration.

However you choose good luck!

Thank you for your advice...I did not know my exact schedule for the WCOOP so taking that in consideration I decided to play this weeks Sunday Million.

Weekly update no. 3

Played from 17.10.2022 to 23.10.2022

Hello everyone, 👋

At the beginning of the week I was busy with work so for the first 3 days I played only one tournament a day ( The Scholars leader board ) but since I was a bit tired I didn't play well at all. Here I broke one of my rules ( do not play poker when tired ) but I really wanted to play for the monthly points. From Thursday on I played a lot of tournaments and also some Spin & Go's (wanted to try something at the advice of one of my poker "coach/adviser ") so In total I played 9 Spin & Go's (2x $4 Spin &Go's, 6x $10 Spin & Go's and 1 x $5 Spin & Go) and 72 tournaments with buy-ins from $0.55 and $11 ( the $11 was the Sunday Million satellite ). During the week I had some small results on some $3.30, $2.20 and $0.55 tournaments but my best result came on Sunday from the $109 Sunday Million.

Here are some results from during the week:

On Sunday Million I started well taking my time and playing pretty much ABC poker, not taking risks and playing mostly strong hands and completed hands post flop....I could have in some hands played more aggressive but that is something I have to improve on the future...before the money bubble burst I eliminated 5 players and had a pretty decent stack when we got into the money places, after that small stacks started to play more loose and I lost some flips for mainly 9-11 BB ( AJo vs 1010, AJo vs 55 ) and after about an hour I got down to 14BB and this was my last hand:

PokerStars - 8000/16000 Ante 2000 NL (8 max) - Holdem - 7 players

Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3 (http://www.holdemmanager.com/)

MP: 799,032 (49.9 bb)

CO: 1,109,414 (69.3 bb)

Hero (BTN): 226,060 (14.1 bb)

SB: 183,233 (11.5 bb)

BB: 504,304 (31.5 bb)

UTG: 462,366 (28.9 bb)

UTG+1: 245,436 (15.3 bb)

7 players post ante of 2,000, SB posts 8,000, BB posts 16,000

Pre Flop: (pot: 38,000) Hero has A♠: K♠:

2 folds, MP raises to 32,000, CO calls 32,000, Hero raises to 224,060 and is all-in, 2 folds, MP raises to 797,032 and is all-in, fold

Flop: (518,120, 2 players) 5♣: 2♠: 6♠:

Turn: (518,120, 2 players) 3♣:

River: (518,120, 2 players) 8♥:

Results: 518,120 pot (0 rake)

Final Board: 5♣: 2♠: 6♠: 3♣: 8♥:

MP shows T♠: T♦:: (One Pair, Tens)

(Pre 54%, Flop 48%, Turn 65%)

Hero shows A♠: K♠:: (High Card, Ace)

(Pre 46%, Flop 52%, Turn 35%)

MP wins 518,120

And that was pretty much my Sunday Million experience this past week...happy with how I played and also with the result.

So the Bankroll this week is:

Played from 17.10.2022 to 23.10.2022

Starting Bankroll: T$ 1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $115.89 + T$946.70 = $1062.59

Current Bankroll: $473.29 + T$ 779.14 = $1252.43

Profit from last week: + $189.84

Goal: $10 000

Have a good week and good luck at the tables

Hi guys,

I want to ask you guys something....some of my poker colleagues have been saying that given my bankroll I should play more tournaments with buy-ins of $5.50, $11 and also some shots at the $22 tournaments. I have not made any decisions if I should do that. So I want to ask you guys for your opinions on this matter.

What do you guys think? Feel free to express your opinions. Thank you.

People will give you different advise.

I am personally a bankroll nit and move up way too late - which I admit is a leak because when overrolled it is "whatever... i call" because it is just such a small part of your BR.

From your reports I know that you have a serious approach and don't want to do things crazy in shots on higher limits.

Your situation outside poker also could play a role. I know players who play till they are broke instead of moving down because if things dont work they know that 10% of the next paycheck is there next deposit.

Long story short: yes, definitively think about moving up but take your time and consider your choices!

Until I decided last year to improve my poker skills and try to be a winning poker player I did not care much about the Bankroll but that was a mistake since I lost my bankroll many times just because I had the mentality of "go big or go home" .....and pretty much I "got home" every time :mdr:. Since my last challenge I had a strict bankroll management that's why I managed to complete it....but this one is even strict ( 300 buy-ins and more ).

I haven't deposited any cash in my poker account since 2018, and also my financial status is stable enough so I don't rely on poker winnings. Maybe I will try to play some (1 or 2 ) $11 tournaments a week or some $5.50 so It does not impact my bankroll that much. Since I don't have much experience on bigger buy-ins tournaments I really don't want to start and play many, I want to incorporate into my regular buy-ins $1.10 $2.20 and $3.30 some $5.50 and $11.

Add 1 or 2 of them a week and look, how things work;

if they work well, you will be able to play them regularly soon and can do the same with the 11$-ones!

And stick to ur BRM...

there´s allways a lot af advice, but if u look for the advisors some years later, they arent there anymore, because they went broke too often!

Weekly update no. 4

Played from 24.10.2022 to 30.10.2022

Hello everyone,

In this last week I played 87 tournaments, ranging from freerolls to the $5.50 Mini EPT London Main Event and the $11 Mini EPT London PKO tournament. ♠_grin: I also played the Scholars tournaments again and managed to squeeze my way into top 50 for the month with one more game to play

I have managed to get some small cashes into some tournaments last week, like the $3.30 PKO mini EPT London 5, $11 mini EPT London PKO, and 2 of 3 Scholars tournaments and also into this Sunday CC $300 Weekly I managed to get 6th place...so I finished the week with a final table.

So for the upcoming week the Bankroll is:

Played from 24.10.2022 to 30.10.2022

Starting Bankroll: T$ 1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $473.29 + T$ 779.14 = $1252.43

Current Bankroll: $521.30 + T$752.74 = $1274.04

Profit from last week: + $21.61

Goal: $10 000

For the upcoming 2 weeks I will be away from my PC having to travel do to my work so I will try and play some tournaments (mostly I will be playing form my phone and maybe from a laptop ), but since I don't have my PC setup I will be playing only some freerolls and maybe the $1.10 Scholars Event but that is not a guarantee since the tournament hour just moved 1 hour early since the Daylight Savings. So in order to better track my buy-ins/winnings and tournaments I will play only freerolls.

Take care and have a good week.

Hi guys,

Still away form my pc, but I want to let you know that I got top 50 in the Scholars Leader Board and added another T$50 to the bankroll. For this month I played only Wednesday Scholars tournament, but missed the Tuesday one.

So pretty much I'm still playing only freerolls until I get back home.

Take care and good luck at the tables.

Hello everyone,

Still away for one more week...but this weekend ( and also Monday ) I tried to qualify to WCOOP 2 Low via Spin & Go's. So I played with those extra T$50 that I received from last month Scholars Leader Board finish and managed to win $30 in cash and also some $22 and some $11 tournaments tickets. I used them to play some more satellites with places added but unfortunately I did not qualify to the WCOOP Low.

This are the tickets that I have left after my attempt....I will not play any until they become regular tournaments tickets.

So that is it for now. Weekly update will be back next Monday.

Take care and have a good week

Weekly update no. 5 and 6

Played from 31.10.2022 to 13.11.2022

Hi everyone,

Like most of you guys know I was away for 2 weeks with work. During that time I played mostly from my phone...( it was pain but I like poker that much :f_biggrin:). I played mostly freerolls since I can't focus on multi-tabling while playing from mobile. In the first week I played the Scholars remaining tournaments and managed to finish top 50 and add another T$50 to my bankroll, with that money I used it to play some $4 Spin & Go's to try and qualify to WCOOP 2 Main Event Low, unfortunately I did not win a spot into it but I managed to turn those T$ into $30 cash and also got some $11 and $22 tournament tickets that I will use to play regular tournaments (maybe I will try the Sunday Mini-Million ).

Also the first week I played the WCOOP 13 - L event it was a $11 PKO with $175 GTD, I use 2x$11 tickets but with no result...it wasn't my tournament. This journey is not only success most of the time you strike out, persistence is the key

In the second week I played some tournaments, mostly freerolls and the $1.10 scholars....this month has started bad for me in the Scholars but I played only 3 tournaments from 5...there are still 9 tournaments left and I plan to play them all...Hope I can turn it around, as today I am way off the money positions and points also.

The big result this week came from the $300 CC Weekly Freeroll where I managed to get 3rd so another nice boost of the Bankroll. I played well in it and also got lucky in some hands but most of all I was happy that my flips hold.

This was my last hand of the tournament...the only one that did not hold.

PokerStars - 4000/8000 Ante 800 NL - Holdem - 3 players

Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3 (http://www.holdemmanager.com/)

BTN: 606,629 (75.8 bb)

Hero (SB): 153,304 (19.2 bb)

BB: 47,067 (5.9 bb)

3 players post ante of 800, Hero posts SB 4,000, BB posts 8,000

Pre Flop: (pot: 14,400) Hero has Q♦: Q♣:

BTN raises to 30,400, Hero raises to 152,504 and is all-in, fold, BTN calls 122,104

Flop: (315,408, 2 players) K♥: 6♠: T♥:

Turn: (315,408, 2 players) 3♠:

River: (315,408, 2 players) 3♣:

Results: 315,408 pot (0 rake)

Final Board: K♥: 6♠: T♥: 3♠: 3♣:

Hero shows Q♦: Q♣:: (Two Pair, Queens and Threes)

(Pre 72%, Flop 12%, Turn 5%)

BTN shows 4♠: K♣:: (Two Pair, Kings and Threes)

(Pre 28%, Flop 88%, Turn 95%)

BTN wins 315,408

So after all this the Bankroll is:

Played from 31.10.2022 to 13.11.2022

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $521.30 + T$752.74 = $1274.04

Current Bankroll: $690.50 + T$748.34 = $1438.84

Profit from last week: + $164.80

Goal: $10 000

It's good to be back home and start grinding Take care and have a good week everyone.

PS: I will post some hands later this week after I upload the history in HM3 and review my gameplay.

Hi guys,

Today my PC was making some strange things (the activate windows thing pop-up even if I have an original windows bought and also my font automatically changed on all desktop and chrome weird stuff ) so I had to re-install Windows all day and try to fresh re-install all my app. So I lost all my HM3 database ( since I did not make any backup to it )…I lost a lot more important stuff then that but that's life...you live and you learn.

I will try to install all of the apps that I had but it will take time...:sifflote:

Hi guys,

So finally put my PC back together and finished installing all the stuff that I had lost. Now that I'm done I'm back to playing poker. It has been some busy days this week, but I'm happy that I done it all back to normal.

On Thursday I managed to get to a final table in the $100 CC Daily, but unfortunately I don't have a photo for you guys with the final leaderboard...I finished 4th and won around $8

Let's see what the weekend brings. I will play today the $22 mini Sunday Million and some other tournaments but that is the " main " of the evening...also I will try to play the Sunday Storm.

Other then that I really am excited about the World Cup starting today. Do you guys watching any games? Who do you support and who do you guys think will win it?

Hi!

First of all: I am reading ur blog for weeks now and I am really impressed about the work, you do; great job and I think, you will also get that next goal: The 10k!

One word about the world cup:

I'm not going to watch a minute of it. Not because of the host; our criticism of Qatar is -in my view- dishonest, because we court them when we need oil and gas, and criticize, when they then spend the money again. I simply can't stand the corrupt FIFA including its infante anymore. Additionally I am not a fan of "my" (german) team at all.

I want to wish you only the very best for your further journey. Keep on track!

Thank you for your kind words. I agree with you on the World Cup opinion, but since I love football so much I will watch most of the games. Even thought my country haven't been at a world cup since....I was a teenager

Weekly update no. 7

Played from 14.11.2022 to 20.11.2022

Hi everyone,

This weeks update is a little bit late (sorry for that), for the past week I played only some 1-2 freerolls a day, the $1.10 Scholars tournaments and on Sunday I played $22 mini Sunday Million using one of my $22 tournament tickets.

On Thursday I managed to reach the final table of the CC Daily freeroll and finished 4th for around $8 and some change :f_cool:...On Sunday played only the mini Sunday Million and managed to min cash and also get 1 bounty.....I don't know why but Sundays are not my days for tournaments runs

This month on Scholars tournaments I can't get anything going my way. It seems to be one of those months . There are still 5 tournaments to be played but I don't have much hope for cash places this month. As of today I am 348th with only 41 points.

So the Bankroll at the start of this week is:

Played from 14.11.2022 to 20.11.2022

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $690.50 + T$748.34 = $1438.84

Current Bankroll: $720.36 + T$745.04 = $1465.40

Profit from last week: + $26.56

Goal: $10 000

Sorry for not posting any hand but since I lost all my database from HM3 I have only the hands from Sunday. I will review that tournament sometime this week and try to post some key hands from it.

Have a great week everyone and good luck at the tables.

I don't know why but Sundays are not my days for tournaments runs

Sunday evenings are normally my deep run nights, I haven't made any final tables yet as I don't play enough of them. But I've finished in the top 20 a few times.

GL with your challenge!

Well before I play the flop, I tank a bit, then raise to half-pot.

After the two folds, I swear, ask "why oh why didn't I just flat?"

After a minute I realize I played it fine, and that no-body will call any raise unless they have something worth continuing with.

After another minute I think, "Man I'm glad neither of the others had AK or A6

This flop gives me nightmares, but if V had a Q or descent draw I think V would put you in on the flop. With our stack size on that turn its a easy shove, I think. Even if turn isnt A and flush bricks I'm shoving. You ever watch Lex play boards like these so effortlessly.

When I am deep stacked its very tempting to call especially early on when you trying to build stack. But I'd fold this, if it was suited I'd see a flop.

Weekly update no. 8

Played from 21.11.2022 to 27.11.2022

Hi everyone,

This last week I haven't played that much on Pokerstars, as I would want to. My focus was on GGPoker where my bankroll is growing rapidly, maybe because the games that I play at the micro stakes are softer do to the big number of players.

At the beginning of the week I played the regular Scholars tournaments but it seems that this month is not to be I can't hold any all in situations in that tournament this month. So with 3 tournaments that I have left for this month I am way behind the T$ positions.

This week on Pokerstars was slow in terms of results, basically I had some min cashes and pretty much that was it.

Also on Sunday I played another $22 Mini Sunday Million with my last ticket. It's fair to say that I played it " like an idiot"...:sorry: I was so mad at me after this hand, that I wanted to end the session. (I didn't because of the deep run I had on GG tournament that I played).

Here is the hand:

PokerStars - 40/80 Ante 8 NL - Holdem - 9 players

Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3 (http://www.holdemmanager.com/)

MP+2: 10,800 (135 bb)

CO: 10,239 (128 bb)

Hero (BB): 9,596 (120 bb)

UTG: 9,271 (115.9 bb)

UTG+1: 10,244 (128.1 bb)

MP: 10,926 (136.6 bb)

MP+1: 8,637 (108 bb)

9 players post ante of 8, SB posts 40, Hero posts BB 80

Pre Flop: (pot: 192) Hero has Q♦: A♠:

4 folds, MP+2 raises to 240, 3 folds, Hero raises to 720, MP+2 calls 480

Flop: (1,552, 2 players) J♠: 5♠: 4♣:

Hero bets 760, MP+2 calls 760

Turn: (3,072, 2 players) 4♠:

Hero bets 799, MP+2 raises to 2,240, Hero calls 1,441

River: (7,552, 2 players) 2♠:

Hero bets 5,868 and is all-in, MP+2 calls 5,868

Results: 19,288 pot (0 rake)

Final Board: J♠: 5♠: 4♣: 4♠: 2♠:

Spoiler Hero shows Q♦: A♠:: (Flush, Ace High)

(Pre 43%, Flop 7%, Turn 0%)

MP+2 shows J♥: J♣:: (Full House, Jacks full of Fours)

(Pre 57%, Flop 93%, Turn 100%)

MP+2 wins 19,288

I played it poorly from pre-flop and all the way to finish.

So the Bankroll at the start of this week is:

Played from 21.11.2022 to 27.11.2022

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $720.36 + T$745.04 = $1465.40

Current Bankroll: $723.73 + T$735.88 = $1459.61

Profit from last week: - $5.79

Goal: $10 000

I hope this coming week I will play better....Also from Thursday until Sunday I will be away with family for some national holidays, so if I play poker I will play it from the phone. ( Probably won't be playing poker at the end of the week. )

Take care and good luck at the tables.

Weekly update no. 9

Played from 28.11.2022 to 4.12.2022

Hi everyone,

This past week I played only Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday before I left my home. I came back on Sunday and managed to play some freerolls only. ( Decided to play only freerolls because I was felling a bit tired after all the work I had to do when I was away ).

The week started ok, I finished 28th in the Monday Scholars event which gave me hope that I can do something in the last week of the tournament, but then Tuesday and Wednesday tournaments where awful for me.

In the end I finished the month in 240th place, a disappointing finish from me...Maybe I can do better this month ( make myself a nice Christmas present and finish first again ).

Also in this short week I cash into some of the CC Freerolls. On the Sunday one I tried to be clever and play passively but it was not a good play from me.

Weekly update no. 10

Played from 05.12.2022 to 11.12.2022

Hi everyone,

Now that 10 weeks of this challenge has passed I've been thinking about the time frame that I chose (2 years). In my case this is a realistic one since for me poker is not a regular job, and family and work comes first...and also I think that even though I get some feedback from the community ( not only this community ) and people are doubting that I will complete this challenge I want to show that with proper management and game selection, most of you guys that follow this journey of mine can reach a goal like this.

Yes I agree that if your only job is to play poker (day and night) you will complete this challenge in 2 months ( if you are a profitable poker player ), but I am willing to bet that most of you guys that follow this blog are exactly like me...( you play poker because you like the game and not because you want to become Pro in a year or so ).

That being said that is the reason that I do not put more volume into this challenge. In my case my time is the most valuable asset that I have, and poker gets some small portion of it.

Ok then, here are some of the results that I had this past week. On Monday I min cashed the daily CC freeroll finishing 25th, Tuesday I finished 35th on the Scholars Leader Board tournament (maybe this month will be better then the last one ), in the standing I'm on 104th after the first 3 games.

On the weekend I was so close to a final table on the CC $750 Holiday Special but I got impatient and that cost me...nevertheless I finished 11.

*I know that this is not relevant to this challenge but I want to let you guys know that the micro tournaments on GGPoker are treating me nice and the bankroll there is growing very fast

So at the start of this week the bankroll is:

Played from 5.12.2022 to 11.12.2022

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $731.97 + T$731.48 = $1463.45

Current Bankroll: $749.75 + T$727.62 = $1477.37

Profit from last week: + $13.92

Goal: $10 000

Take care and good luck at the tables.

Only 10 hands played in this tournament so not much info on the players.

Is completing here pre-flop a mistake? Should I call the turn? How would you guys played it?

Weekly update no. 11

Played from 12.12.2022 to 18.12.2022

Hi everyone,

For the past week I played a lot of poker ( based on the available time I had ). Started Monday with the Chest & Ladders promotion freeroll in which I managed to finish 804th, I played good poker hoping for one of those Platinum Pass

After that I started playing the $1.10 mini EPT tournaments and also some of the $11 Sunday Millions PKO. I had some nice results but no top 16 for me...(top 16 got the $109 Sunday Millions tickets)

And on the weekend I played more on Saturday, some notable results came in the Silver Holiday CC Freeroll where I finished 3rd.

Also I played the Scholars events but no notable results there. On Sunday I played some poker at night after the WC Final, I wanted to play the Mini EPT main event but I did not get home in time to late reg...

This week I plan to play more, and I will try some tournaments in the New Year promotion that come starting this week on Pokerstars. Also there are still 6 games in the Scholars tournaments but I don't know the rakings yet since Stars have removed the Leaderboard from there website.

So the bankroll this week is:

Played from 12.12.2022 to 18.12.2022

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $749.75 + T$727.62 = $1477.37

Current Bankroll: $825.67 + $T715.27 = $1540.94

Profit from last week: + $63.57

Goal: $10 000

Have a good week guys, and happy holidays 🎄🎅

Bah! I didn't even notice that there was a Chests and Ladders Freeroll!

I did complete the promo though — about $10 in prizes overall

I always in this kind of promotions hit the "dice" and lands around the chests and not on them :mdr:. Luckily there was a freeroll so I can cash some

Weekly update no. 12

Played from 19.12.2022 to 25.12.2022

Hi all,

Merry Christmas everyone,

For the past week I played some daily $1.10 bounty builders PKO tournaments, I played the Scholars tournaments and also I tried the New Year Series promo that is now live on Pokerstars.

At the beginning of the week I managed to get some small results in a PKO Bounty Builder

And also in the Scholars event on Tuesday I managed to finish 26th

With 3 more tournaments this month I need a deep run to get into top 50 this month and get that extra T$ 50.

As the end of the week came and Holidays approached I wasn't playing that much, but I managed to scrap some min cash in CC 300 weekly and $1.10 Bounty Builder on Friday

So for the last week of the year the bankroll is:

Played from 19.12.2022 to 25.12.2022

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $825.67 + $T715.27 = $1540.94

Current Bankroll: $842.23 +T$ 699.97 = $1542.20

Profit from last week: + $1.26

Goal: $10 000

Have a good week guys and Happy New Year 🥂🍾

Weekly update no. 13

Played from 26.12.2022 to 01.01.2023

Hi everybody and Happy New Year 🥂

Last week of the year has a bit low on poker tournaments played, but I still managed to get some nice results. I played only 20 tournaments and some satellites to some of the New Years Series events on Pokerstars.

During the week the only one notable results was in the event 9-L the $3.30 NLHE (6-max) where I finished 1671 and cashed.

On Sunday morning I managed to qualify to the New Year Special event - L from a $2.60 sat. and I finished the tournament late last night on 2647th for a min cash. So I started the year ok

Also I played the last 3 tournaments from the Scholars Event but didn't reach top 50. I don't know if this series will continue this year because I don't see any future tournaments in the Pokerstars client.

So the Bankroll at the beginning of the year is:

Played from 26.12.2022 to 01.01.2023

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $842.23 +T$ 699.97 = $1542.20

Current Bankroll: $898.39 + T$ 667.27 = $1565.66

Profit from last week: + $23.46

Goal: $10 000

Have a good week guys and let your goals for 2023 came true

Weekly update no. 14

Played from 02.01.2023 to 08.01.2023

Hi everyone,

In the last week I was focusing mainly on the New Year Series, I played a lot of qualifying satellites to the $11, $22 events and played some $2.20, $3.30 and even $5.50 events. I played also some $4 Spin & Go's to get some tickets and also on Sunday I played some $1,50 Sunday Millions Spin & Go's to try and see if I can get a entry to the Special edition of Sunday Millions. Unfortunately I did not qualify to it, the best prize that I had at my tables was an $11 ticket.

Only on Monday I played the platinum CC freeroll and finished 19th, after that I played only in weekend the $300 CC Freeroll.

I won my ticket to the New Year 65-L event via a $2.20 satellite on Thursday, played it and got $20 in bounties but exited when there where 300 players left to the money places when I played poorly A7o in BTN and called an all in re-steal form the BB which turned out to have KK. I should have been more patient.

Also on Saturday I played with one of the $11 tickets that I won during the week the Road to Sunday Million satellite which is a PKO format tournament and finished 148th for $9.59 and $5 in bounties. That tournament ended brutal again with me in BTN, here is the hand:

PokerStars - 1800/3600 Ante 360 NL (8 max) - Holdem - 8 players

Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3 (http://www.holdemmanager.com/)

BB: 160,073 (44.5 bb)

UTG: 99,399 (27.6 bb)

UTG+1: 145,291 (40.4 bb)

MP: 101,695 (28.2 bb)

MP+1: 139,297 (38.7 bb)

CO: 258,904 (71.9 bb)

Hero (BTN): 55,327 (15.4 bb)

SB: 93,678 (26 bb)

8 players post ante of 360, SB posts 1,800, BB posts 3,600

Pre Flop: (pot: 8,280) Hero has A♦: 9♠:

5 folds, Hero raises to 7,560, fold, BB raises to 11,520, Hero raises to 54,967 and is all-in, BB calls 43,447

Flop: (114,614, 2 players) J♦: 3♥: 4♥:

Turn: (114,614, 2 players) K♣:

River: (114,614, 2 players) 8♠:

Results: 114,614 pot (0 rake)

Final Board: J♦: 3♥: 4♥: K♣: 8♠:

BB shows 7♦: 7♠:: (One Pair, Sevens)

(Pre 56%, Flop 74%, Turn 86%)

Hero shows A♦: 9♠:: (High Card, Ace)

(Pre 44%, Flop 26%, Turn 14%)

BB wins 114,614

I need to learn 📖 from this mistakes. It's costing me 💰

So after all this the Bankroll for this challenge today is:

Played from 02.01.2023 to 08.01.2023

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $898.39 + T$ 667.27 = $1565.66

Current Bankroll: $1061.83 + T$ 524.07 = $1585.90

Profit from last week: + $20.24

Goal: $10 000

Take care everyone and good luck at the tables.

Thank you very much for this nice words. I decided to make it a long term challenge because time is our most valuable asset and most of the players play it for fun. So I want to show that it can be done without spending all your time at the tables ( I will definitely take longer ), and that everyone can make it with proper discipline.

Yeah man keep it up I've opted for smaller goals that are reachable but won't take as much time. It's important for me to see I am at least making a tiny dent every day or week. If I set out to big a goal, it's like I don't feel like I am making much progress, and this can lead to frustration and then eventually to tilt. Someday I will set out a big goal like yours

I get that. My first challenge was to make it to $1000 from $37 and managed to finish it in 1 year, here is it From Recreational to Regular (https://www.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?postid=3280328#post3280328)

It was a up and down experience, but having a blog helped a lot.

Weekly update no. 15

Played from 09.01.2023 to 15.01.2023

Hi everyone,

In the past week I haven't played that much poker as I would have wanted ( mainly do to work stuff ), I played some New Year Series events with the two $11 tickets that I had won via Spin & Go's last week but no cashes into them. I played mostly from my phone and only on weekend I managed to play from my PC but I did play only freerolls because I was distracted and did not want to waste my bankroll if I can't play properly.

The only cash this week was in the New Year Series event 112-L the $2.20 8-max, where I managed to finish in 1676th and make some good use of the $2.20 ticket that I had.

For the upcoming weeks I will not play that much on Pokerstars for this challenge since on GGPoker has started a new edition of the MiniMillions and since now I have build a nice bankroll there I can play a lot of the tournaments that I want from this series including the Main Event. For the past months I build a really nice bankroll on GGPoker from scratch and I really enjoy the tournaments there.

This are just some results that I had this week :

So for the next 2-3 weeks my focus will mainly be on GGPoker.

I will still be playing on Pokerstars but maybe I have to select the tournaments that I can play.

So the bankroll for this week is:

Played from 09.01.2023 to 15.01.2023

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $1061.83 + T$ 524.07 = $1585.90

Current Bankroll: $1065.41 + T$ 524.07 = $1589.48

Profit from last week: + $3.58

Goal: $10 000

Take care and have a good week

I have a bad news for this challenge, my pc was fried today. :(😭 My CPU reached 105 degrees celsius, and It smelled like something was burning. I had it packed and tomorrow I will send it to repairs or replaced. I will se what the guys at the PC company say. So no poker for me until I fix it. I don’t know if I will play from the phone😔

In my case, I found that the CPU cooler fans and case fans were filled with dust. This had been no problem until I started streaming, and the increased GPU load caused excessive heat. I replaced the on-board GPU with a high-end second-hand graphics card.

I hope that the fix will be as simple for you.

I have an update on the PC problem . It appears that my CPU Cooler ( Cooler CPU ID-Cooling FrostFlow) was broken so the team that I sent it to have to replace it. In the meantime I play some freerolls from my phone. Here is one result from Saturday. Picture taken from my wife PC.

The weekly updates will be back when I get my PC back. Hopefully by the end of this week. 🤞

Hello everyone,

I finally got my PC back, so I can now properly play again :f_biggrin:. It's time to start grinding again. I was a bit tired of playing one table from my phone and only freerolls.

The weekly update will be back Monday. For now my main focus will still be the MiniMillions on GGPoker.

Here is a hand that I played this days that I want to see how you guys have played it:

This is a freeroll so you need to take that in consideration and it is the first hand of the tournament.

I'm getting it in, its a freeroll and players shove and call off very light, occasionally we run into AA or KK, but more often pp or weak Ax or boardways.

This hand is not related to this challenge but I wanted to post it here since now that the MiniMillions is live on GGPoker and I mostly focus on it for now.

The SB has only 4 hands played with a VPIP 75 PFR 0 Limp 67 (GG HUD has him playing 50% of his hands)

Do you guys shove here? It's weird that on the turn I thought that I was ahead, I was thinking that he might play suited hands and also he might have an 10x hand, but I never thought he had this hand.

GG Poker - 400/800 Ante 100 NL (8 max) - Holdem - 8 players

Also do you guys think that a bet in ok on the river?

Spoiler Results: 22,500 pot (0 rake)

Weekly update no. 16-17-18

Played from 16.01.2023 to 05.02.2023

Hi everyone,

Finally this past week I got my PC back, so now I am able to play at my setup. ( I was tired of mobile and one table at the time During this couple of weeks I have been playing only freerolls, just because I did not want to loose my bankroll by not being able to focus properly. I had some small results ( unfortunately I do not have photos ), but also I had 1 or 2 final tables.

Like I said in previous posts I was playing more on GGPoker and mainly the Mini Millions events, and since this year it seems that on the 888Poker I am able to see the CC Freerolls I decide to build a bankroll there too. So now my time playing is dived to 3 platforms, that's why I am very happy that my PC is back and I can play simultaneously on all.

This challenge will remain a Pokerstars challenge only, so the bankroll on the others platforms will not be included in this. (Maybe if I have some nice/big results I might post them here but it will not add to the bankrolls for this challenge ). I still want to turn those T$1000 into $10 000

So at this time the bankroll for this challenge is:

Played from 16.01.2023 to 05.02.2023

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $1065.41 + T$ 524.07 = $1589.48

Current Bankroll: $1084 + T$ 524.07 = $1608.07

Profit from last week: + $18.59

Goal: $10 000

Since most of the series within my bankroll ended on Pokerstars, (I am not going to play the 50/50 series)....I'm back playing the regular tournaments on the daily schedule.

Take care guys and have a nice week. See you at the tables.

Are you going to play more tournament builders for more T$ if you run out? Or will you just continue with what's in your bankroll?

Starting with this year 2023 Pokerstars removed the Scholars tournaments from there client, so there are no T$ leaderboard tournaments...so I will play with the bankroll that I will build after the T$ are gone.

Oh yes, you mentioned that, I didn't notice that those pay in T$.

Weekly update no. 19

Played from 06.02.2023 to 12.02.2023

Hi everyone,

Last week I hadn't played much, do to work taking all of my time, and like you guys probably know by now I do not play when I feel tired. There where some days when I played a few freerolls, while I was watching some football games, and just trying to relax a bit.

But it was a good week to study: I managed to study ranges, especially big field tournament (open ranges with different stack sizes, defend against 3bet, Blind vs blind play, plays vs open raise ) and also reviewing some of the hands that I had marked in HM, so even thought I did not played much I tried and succeeded to study.

Also I'm starting to play a lot more on 888Poker, it seems that they really have some nice tournaments and the field is softer then other platforms (at least at micro levels), so I will build there a bankroll too.

Starting this week the bankroll for this challenge is:

Played from 06.02.2023 to 12.02.2023

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $1084 + T$ 524.07 = $1608.07

Current Bankroll: $1085.7 + T$ 524.07 = $1609.77

Profit from last week: + $1.70

Goal: $10 000

Take care guys and have a great week. See you at the tables.

I like 888 for overall, but they do have more than their fair share of problems — and their bonus policy is tragic.

I love their freerolls — there are many, and with a little care you can frequently cash.

Yes I can see that, in most of them since they are hyper-turbos you play around 15-20 hands and you are in the money. If you managed to get a big stack (some all ins) you at least min cash.

Do you think that my c-bet is to small? Would you guys even c-bet? How about the river is shoving an option?

For one double-up in the early stage you can coast to a min-cash. One more and you coast to the second tier. If you get one more, then just open-raise decent hands and put pressure on the shorter stacks.

Once you're in the money, you can play sensibly and keep on going.

Weekly update no. 20

Played from 13.02.2023 to 19.02.2023

Hi everyone,

Yet again this was a week with a lot of things happening outside poker tables, I'm sorry for that (feels like I let you guys down by not playing that much) but there are some things in my life now that are more important. This week I played from home only Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday , and played just some freerolls. I managed to reach a final table on Wednesday , and finished 6th; I played my hand passively and got knocked out by 106o I never learn.

Also I had some smaller results, but my luck seems to run out on the tournaments that I play during the weekend. I don't win any all ins anymore :transpire:, I'm confident that if I play right my luck will turn, but until then study time and playing right.

So some small changes in the bankroll this week:

Played from 13.02.2023 to 19.02.2023

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $1085.7 + T$ 524.07 = $1609.77

Current Bankroll: $1092.57 + T$ 524.07 = $1616.64

Profit from last week: + $6.87

Goal: $10 000

Take care guys and have a great week.

Weekly update no. 21

Played from 20.02.2023 to 26.02.2023

Hi everyone,

Not much to say this week, busy times for me outside poker. On the poker side of things I was focusing mainly on playing the GGMasters Overlay, since this has taken a lot of my time I wasn't able to play much for this challenge.

For the past week I played only 9 freerolls and on Sunday I played the mini EPT Main Event, but I did not cash in any of them.

I hope that things are settling down with other stuff in my life, so I can get back on track with poker.

This is the bankroll this week:

Played from 20.02.2023 to 26.02.2023

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $1092.57 + T$ 524.07 = $1616.64

Current Bankroll: $1092.57 + T$ 517.20 = $1609.77

Profit from last week: - $6.87

Goal: $10 000

Take care guys and good luck at the tables.

Since this past week I was focusing mainly on GGPoker and not this challenge I want to let you guys now that I managed to qualify to Day 2 of GGMasters Overlay edition.

After playing 3 day 1 tournaments I finally made it to Day 2. I was lucky enough to play 3 $50 FlipNGo sit & go satellites and won them all. So I paid $150 for playing 3 tournaments.

I was hoping to make it deep into day 2, or at least 10-12 levels. I started with 13BB and managed to get up to 48BB at some point. After some time I got back down to 15 BB and shoved from CO after a min raise from the player in MP.

And it was over. Painfull but at least I got $420.

Weekly update no. 22

Played from 27.02.2023 to 05.03.2023

Hi everyone,

Last week I played some small tournaments. During the week I was playing only some freerolls since I did not have much time, but on weekend I played all kinds of tournaments, starting with freerolls and finishing with some $2.20 sat. to Sunday million anniversary since for this month this will be my main goal. I really want to play this tournament. I don't recommend doing what I am this month since the main goal should be to play regular tournaments and try to build your bankroll and learn by playing small fields.

The main scores this week came from the 2 final tables that I played: the CC weekly Saturday and daily CC Sunday, unfortunately not 1st place for me. Maybe this week I will win again one of those.

The plan for the upcoming weeks will be to qualify to Sunday Million Anniversary, and also to play more $3.30, $4.40 and $5.50 tournaments since for the last couple of months I was slacking on pretty much grinding properly. I apologies for that, but sometimes there are more important things for me.

Also I managed to finnish my Hand Hystory for the $150 GGMasters tournament that I played and I will post some hands into the forum for you guys to give feedback on. There where some interesting hand that I play, people play different this huge fields compare to daily tournaments (way more fish/recreational in them), I was expecting that but the plays I saw....:spit:

This is the bankroll this week:

Played from 27.02.2023 to 05.03.2023

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $1092.57 + T$ 517.20 = $1609.77

Current Bankroll: $1129.07 + T$ 503.84 = $1632.91

Profit from last week: + $23.14

Goal: $10 000

Take care guys and good luck at the tables.

Hi everyone,

Even though this has nothing to do with this challenge I wanted to post it here as a reminder for me of what happens when I brake one of my rules that I worked so hard to develop. "Don't play poker when you are angry and in a bad state mentality "

So yesterday started as a normal day, but soon after some things happened that made me angry and in a bad mood...and what do you think that this "genius" did; I started playing poker on GGPoker since they have nice tournaments also during the day (my time), of course I was playing poorly and played way to loose and bad; so I got tilted more, and lost around $20 from my bankroll.

After that I was trying to "recover my losses" and played the stupid and the worst kind of games: Spin & Gold's (in the past...3-4 years ago... this type of games I played when I gambled my bankroll). Of course I lost starting with some$1, $3, then move to some $5 and the cherry on top one $50 Spin & Gold. After this last tournament I closed my PC and took a break for around 4 hours and disconnected form everything that happened, I went and took a walk with my wife and calm down.

So as a reminder to never play angry and in a bad state I post this graph so I remind myself what can happen in couple of hours with my 2 months work.

This graph is only 1 month old...since I started to import my hands from Pokercraft to HM.

So now I start over on GGPoker. Thankfully I did not lost all my bankroll. Take care guys and have a nice Sunday.

I wish I'd seen this earlier today. I hope in the future I will be able to just leave the poker client closed on days like this and go do something else. Really goes to show how important emotions and the mental state is in poker.

Anyways good luck with your challenge, back to crushing ♠_drink:

Thank you guys for support. 🙏

I'm taking a week off. I need to chill, clear my head and disconnect for a bit. I will be back with some more updates next week.

Second hand of the tournament, I opened 2,5x and he shoved pre-flop. It was a turbo with 5 min levels.

See you guys next week. Take care

Come back even stronger. Mental game is a big part of poker, the hands above are frustrating, but are normal. You did not play bad and went all in with 3rd pair as bluff catcher, that would be tilt and a reason for taking a break. You played good got nice cards, but the villains just had more luck.

Stay strong and GL @ the tables

In addition, transferring from Stars to GG is very tempting. The player pool is softer, and on top of that they tend to lure you to play out of your comfort zone by chasing rakeback bonuses or introducing games with even softer fields, that attract recreational players, and you do have advantage over them on a long run, but in short term they can get very lucky and you need a strong mental game to overcome that.

Maybe this will be rude from me, but I would suggest you focus on micro mtts for now. The fields are similar to those like on stars leaderboard mtts, and you were owning them, once you get comfortable, go to higher BIs and crush.

Well spoken! It's really important on GG not to stretch to "take advantage" of a promo. It can stress your bankroll.

OTOH, their honeymoon promo is world class. Lots of great $ to be made, and it is a good way to get to know some obscure variants.

Yes I thought that I was past this...and managed to overcome this side of mine. I was working hard on develop a better side of me mentality and tried to understand why I was tilting so much, and I did. For a long time I played without tilting and when I was not tired or angry.

Thank you, that is exactly what I did...I took some day off. I did not played poker, and I went back to basics and started again studying Psychology part of this forum, watching videos and reading some articles and now I am ready to grind again. It helps a lot to take some days off when you are not in a good state of mind. What I learn is that poker is not going anywhere, the games are here when you come back.

This challenge is an Pokerstars only challenge, I just posted some thinks that happened to me on that platform because I play on multiple platforms, but only this one is taken into consideration for this challenge, also playing on multiple platforms influences how you play on all of them. That is the reason why I stop playing on Stars when this happened, because I did not want to loose a good portion of my bankroll here also.

No is not rude when you suggested that, and I thank you for saying it. That is exactly what I will do. Start again and build my bankroll, playing micro MTT's until I can beat them and only after a good sample of tournaments when I can see that I will beat this stakes I will move up.

Thank you all for your support

OTOH, their honeymoon promo is world class. Lots of great $ to be made, and it is a good way to get to know some obscure variants.

Isn't the honeymoon promo just for new players? I don't have it in my client.

Hi everyone,

Took some days off to try and refocus and simply disconnect from everything , and it helped I feel relaxed and ready to start grinding again. I had some study session in which I just focused on the mental game of poker and on how to improve my play. Also I went to the basics and tried to improve my thinking when playing, I was studying opening ranges with different stacks and also thinking in ranges ( putting my opponents on different ranges ).

Today is my last off day, I will not play any poker today, I just wanted to updated you guys and reply to all of you and thank you for your support. ♠_thumbsup:

Yes.

When it was first introduced, all current GGPoker members got to take a shot.

I missed two or three challenges only. I can't remember what the payout was, but it was decent

Weekly update no. 23 and no. 24

Played from 06.03.2023 to 19.03.2023

Hi everyone,

As most of you guys who follow this thread know already, I took some days off from poker last week, and I did not post the weekly update so I will combine them today. ♠_wink: In the first week I mostly played some freerolls, because I was focusing on GGPoker, and managed to get one deep run in the CC weekly freeroll on Saturday finishing 15th.

After that the "breakdown" came (lost 1/3rd of my bankroll on GG) and luckily I wasn't playing on Pokerstars anymore. In the coming week I haven't played poker until Saturday, but I was on full study mode and put around 4-5 hours daily on meditation, reading Psychology articles and watching Psychology videos. (Pokerstrategy has a nice set of materials on mental game and psychology )

By Saturday I was eager to play and grind again. I made a new daily schedule, so I'm starting fresh and fully focused. Saturday I played the 2 CC $300 tournaments, in 1st I got a bit unlucky and shoved AKo when I had 20 BB and got called by KK and in the other one I can't be too upset since this is the hand:

PokerStars - 10/20 NL - Holdem - 9 players

Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3 (http://www.holdemmanager.com/)

Hero (UTG+1): 2,940 (147 bb)

Spoiler Hero shows A♣: 7♣:: (Flush, Ace High)

(Pre 59%, Flop 95%, Turn 91%)

CO shows 9♣: Q♣:: (Straight Flush, King High)

(Pre 41%, Flop 5%, Turn 9%)

CO wins 5,890

Also I played 2 phase 1 satellites to the upcoming Sunday Millions Anniversary, in the $1.10 I did not get into the phase 2, but I managed to reach it into the $2.20 one.

Unfortunately on Sunday I didn't reached the top 125 places, I was starting phase 2 with around 14BB so it was pretty much push/fold situation. I will try again this week.

Also after I got knocked out Saturday against a straight flush it was my time on Sunday to make a Royal Flush, in the 888 Poker Daily CC Freeroll

Off topic there I made the final table yesterday in that tournament.

So for this challenge the bankroll that I am starting this week is:

Played from 06.03.2023 to 19.03.2023

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $1129.07 + T$ 503.84 = $1632.91

Current Bankroll: $1133.67 + T$ 500.54 = $1634.21

Profit from last week: + $1.30

Goal: $10 000

Take care guys and good luck at the tables.

Weekly update no. 25

Played from 20.03.2023 to 26.03.2023

Hi everyone,

A new weekly, the past week started good, I managed to set up a new schedule at work and also after work, pretty much like this: From 9 -17 I'm at work and after that I spend some time with the family until 9 PM when I start my poker session. When I am at work since I work from home I managed to structure my time so I can have at least 1h a day that I have allocated to poker study, so I will either watch strategy videos, reading MTT articles or doing some gameplay scenarios.

During the week I played only the daily freerolls and some sat. to the Sunday Million Anniversary, on Wednesday I reached final 2 tables in the CC Daily Platinum and on Friday I finished 3rd. At the final table I was having a medium stack but I could not win any flips, since the average stack was around 15-20 bb pretty much everyone was playing push or fold.

Saturday I played only in the evening since I had some family time for most of the day, and I was focusing on playing satellite to the Sunday Million. Sunday came and I was still not qualified yet so I decided to spent a total of T$ 60 on satellites, if I was not able to make it I would have payed the entry fee from my T$ that I have. Luckily I managed to win an entry form a $11 sat., I was pretty much for the entire tournament in top 10 stacks.

So I started the Sunday Million with a 30bb stack, I got in the second hand AA in the UTG so I raised 2.5bb everyone folded until the SB which raised to 8.3bb do I decided to 4-bet to 16bb after that he shoved and I call. He had AQo I was pretty confident and I was thinking that I will double up fast ( bad idea ) the board had 4 and I did not have the A♥: but guess who did :mdr:. After that I was left with 4bb and managed to double up when I was moved from that table, but soon after I got knocked out. I guess this Sunday was not for me. Maybe next time.

Good luck to any of you guys that are still in it.

Also I have made the decision since I have a nice bankroll to play some new tournaments based on my new schedule...so from now on I will play this daily tournaments and also I will play every single Sunday Storm starting this week. I can not play only $1,10 and $2,20 tournaments with this deep on a bankroll. Here are the new daily tournaments:

So for this challenge the bankroll that I am starting this week is:

Played from 20.03.2023 to 26.03.2023

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $1133.67 + T$ 500.54 = $1634.21

Current Bankroll: $1151.98 + T$422.36 = $1574.34

Profit from last week: - $59.87

Goal: $10 000

Take care guys and good luck at the tables.

Well my wife side of the family had the Easter on the 9th so it was prep time for a whole week before the 9th, and my family side we had Easter this weekend on the 16th so every year for me is almost 2 weeks of preparations and one week after to recharge the battery

Thank you.

It's Skoda Kamiq 2023, I ordered it in December 2022 and came 3 days before Easter. So I was happy to have a new toy for Easter

I'm a Skoda guy, I liked them a lot. I had a Skoda Octavia that I bought in 2012 and used it for 11 years, but it needed an upgrade.

Hi guys,

Easter is over now.... It was a busy 2-3 weeks for me, but it's over now so back to work tomorrow and back to grinding starting this weekend. The weekly updates will be back next week. Not much to say until then, just that yesterday I played the Sunday Storm anniversary after I got a ticket from 2 sat. ( one $0.55 and one from a freeroll that I played on Sunday evening ). In the first bullet I got1 bounty before I got out QQ vs AA called a shoved all in on a low flop, and in the second bullet I was knocked out when my opponent got a bigger straight on the river. So I decided that I will not play any more since it was late into the night and my eyes where closing and I might fall asleep with my phone in my hand

Anyway I wish you guys good luck for all of you who are still in it and made it to day 2.

Weekly/Monthly update no. 26

Played from 27.03.2023 to 23.04.2023

Hi everyone,

This is pretty much a monthly update since I was gone for so long and haven't played that much, the small results that I had I posted them here. Now I am focusing on what it's next for this challenge and came up with a new plan.

As most of you guys know starting next month my favorite series is back, SCOOP 2023 starts on 7th of May and I will be playing most of the events with buy-ins between $2.20 and $5.50, also I will try to qualify to some $11 and $22 events, and I will definitely play the Low Main Event. The plan for this next two weeks until it's starts it will be to focus on strategy articles, videos, mental preparation. I already made a schedule for daily and weekly task that I have to complete, my plan is to study 2 hours a day in the week days, and 3-4 hours a day for the weekend, I will study playing with different ranges, ICM play, and one of my big flaws post flop play, when to play aggressive and when not. Mental preparation this time will be a big part of my "training" since I need to have a good state of mind and not let bad luck influence my judgment at the tables.

In order to do that I will reviewing all the videos that LuckyLukePS (https://www.pokerstrategy.com/video/?query=LuckyLukePS) made for mental coaching and Psychology of Poker.

In terms of playing I will play very little for the next to weeks, maybe some evening sessions. This past week I bubbled the final table of Thursday CC Freeroll, also I played the $11 MicroMillions PKO on Saturday and the $11 MicroMillions on Sunday and the MicroMillions Main Event after I qualified via satellite, unfortunately I got only some small bounties from them.

Going into this week the bankroll is:

Played from 27.03.2023 to 23.04.2023

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $1151.98 + T$422.36 = $1574.34

Current Bankroll: $1258.63 + T$375.12 = $1633.75

Profit from last week: + $59.41

Goal: $10 000

Take care guys and good luck at the tables.

Hi guys,

I was wondering if you guys take notes while playing or you guys make some notes on players when you review your hands? And if so, how do you do it?

Do you write on the notes field, do you assign a color for every type of player? And also how much of a sample do you need to take a proper note on someone?

Weekly update no. 27

Played from 24.04.2023 to 31.04.2023

Hi guys,

This past week, like I told you guys last week, it was only a study and scheduling week. Every day I was watching some MTT videos, mental game videos for minimum 2 hours/day and after that I was making some quizzes with scenarios of gameplay. Also l made a daily and weekly schedule, based on the job I have and also the things that I have to do this week. I will continue to study daily this week also and I will put into practice what I study in the World Festival that started on GG ( as a warm up to SCOOP ).

As for when SCOOP starts on Sunday, I will post my daily schedule and the tournaments that I play every single day, also the results from the previous day I will post then next day at the same time with the updated schedule.

Results wise this week I only cashed in the CC Bronze Monthly where I finished 45th.

So just a small update in the bankroll:

Played from 24.04.2023 to 31.04.2023

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $1258.63 + T$375.12 = $1633.75

Current Bankroll: $1259.08 + T$ 375.12 = $1634.20

Profit from last week: + $0.45

Goal: $10 000

Take care guys and good luck at the tables.

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I started playing the World Festival on GGPoker, and today I made a recap of the tournaments and a review of the hands that I played. What I noticed is that I tend to have some problems playing from the SB and BB. Also I noticed that I play better full ring tournaments, since yesterday I played a 6-max one and seen that I have some major problems in this kind of tournaments, so for the upcoming SCOOP events I will play only full ring (8-max and 9-max) events.

Today I will continue my study and also I will play 2 more GG events.

Take care and have a good day.

What in your opinion is the main difference between MTTs on Stars, GG (and if you have any experience, smaller platforms) ?

For some reason I believe that on Pokerstars players that are still playing there know more about poker then your average poker player, so in my case I like to play more with that kind of players. If you practice a good bankroll management and strategy you can make profit without much trouble. The Regular/ Daily MTT there have smaller fields and the variance is lower. It's not what it used to be, but even here the big series are attracting a lot of players.

The big minus for me on Pokerstars, I do believe that after the sale in 2014 they took some "steps back" and that is what drove the players away from the site.

On the other hand, on GGPoker, the poll of players if enormous, (reminds me of Pokerstars on there peak ), they have nice tournaments, but I believe that the players there a lot of them play for fun and to gamble. Usually since the prize poll of the tournaments are bigger, the no. of players in them are huge. Just yesterday I played a tournament and there where over 9000 players, so I think that when you play there you need to schedule your day properly in order to not be "dead" the next day. The tournaments ( especially the big series like World Festival), have huge late reg, so if you play from the start it will take around 4 hours to reach the money so it can happen that you are already tired when you reach the money and you might not play your A game by then. (it happened to me couple of times).

Also I play on 888Poker and they have nice tournaments there, smaller fields, good regulars and some recreationally players that it seems that they came from the "casino and betting side of it". It it a nice site if you want to start poker and get used to it.

I tried Unibet, but I don't like the platform there, not many players there and the tournaments are not for me.

For me I like Pokerstars a lot still, but I'm putting more and more time into GGPoker. They both have pros and cons, on the regular bases I play more on Pokerstars,(maybe because I am a loyal costumer ) but when it comes to special series I will try to become more of a regular on GG.

Played it really poor from my side, but live and learn. The more I look at this hand the more I realize how bad I played it.

And on Sunday I started playing the events that I mentioned above, but unfortunately day 1 for me started really poor. The full day was pretty much like this.

Not to say I did not played poorly in some situations which I did, and I need to fix that soon, but let's say Sundays are not my days. So after about 8 hours of tournaments I was ready to call it a day.

What I noticed is that if I do not play bounties tournaments I will probably try to late reg when we are left with around 1hour left of registration, since most of the tournaments are 2 days tourneys and the starting stacks are very deep around 150 - 200 BB as I will play slow/normal structure tournaments only.

What are your preference? Do you play from the start or do you late reg? I usually use to play from the start.

I did not play the SCOOP 06-L event yesterday because I was a little bit tired and I made the decision to end the day at around 22:30 PM my time. (Since I was playing from around 15:00 PM, started early then that playing sat. )

The only notable results this week was me qualifying to the SCOOP 03-L via $0.55 satellite

As it stands the bankroll starting this week is:

Played from 01.05.2023 to 07.05.2023

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $1259.08 + T$ 375.12 = $1634.20

Current Bankroll: $1259.08 + T$ 364.93 = $1624.01

Profit from last week: - $10.19

Goal: $10 000

Take care guys and good luck at the tables.

Also the plan for Day 2 is to play this events:

Hi everyone,

Day 2 ended and I had my first cash finish for this years SCOOP , small one but it's still a cash.

I played the 2 tournaments that I said and in the first one the $11 I "missclicked " and called an all in with TJs, (that what's happening when you play to many tables ). After that I decided to not re-enter, and just play the remaining tables.

Since for the next 2-3 days there are no SCOOP events that I would like to play ( in my buy-in range ), I will use this time to study, review my hands and see what mistakes I can fix before the next tournament.

This are some tournaments that are coming in my range of buy-ins for the next few days, but the times are not perfect for me. The first one is right after I finish work, the second one is right in the middle of work maybe the one that is most likely is the last one.

Also I will try this week to qualify to Phase 2 of the SCOOP 01 events Low and Medium.

So for this week until the weekend this is pretty much the plan. Study and fix my mistakes.

Take care guys and good luck for those of you who play.

Hi everyone,

This is the final day of studying and tomorrow evening I will play again some SCOOP events, during this 3 days of "break" I reviewed all the tournaments played last weekend, tournaments played Monday and Tuesday this week and the tournaments that I played on GGPoker also. I noticed that sometimes I make mistakes that cost me and I'm trying to develop some awareness during play time in order to not make them again. Watching back how I play it seems that there are moments when I'm loosing my focus (playing to many tables, being distracted by somethings/somebody, or just simply not paying close attention ) this is the main thing that I tried to fix this week.

This are the tournaments that I will play on Saturday:

And some Phase 1 tournaments:

Hope you guys have a good day, take care

Weekly Update no. 29

Played from 08.05.2023 to 14.05.2023

Hi everyone,

The first 1 week of SCOOP has ended and it was a rough one. I played only 6 SCOOP events, but I played 57 tournaments this week, most of them satellites and some $4 Spin & Go's. The only one that I cashed into was the SCOOP 10-L, and also I was about to get into day 2 of the 1st Phase 1 tournament that I played but with less then 3 minutes left to play and me having only 5bb this hand happened. (I would rather have a medium stack on day 2 then just 2-3 bb left and exiting the first hand )

PokerStars - 700/1400 Ante 175 NL (8 max) - Holdem - 6 players

Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3 (http://www.holdemmanager.com/)

Hero (BB): 7,613 (5.4 bb)

UTG: 21,972 (15.7 bb)

MP: 39,624 (28.3 bb)

CO: 71,572 (51.1 bb)

BTN: 27,394 (19.6 bb)

SB: 20,644 (14.7 bb)

6 players post ante of 175, SB posts 700, Hero posts BB 1,400

Pre Flop: (pot: 3,150) Hero has A♥: Q♠:

UTG calls 1,400, MP raises to 4,900, 3 folds, Hero raises to 7,438 and is all-in, fold, MP calls 2,538

Flop: (18,026, 2 players) 6♠: 5♥: T♣:

Turn: (18,026, 2 players) 2♠:

River: (18,026, 2 players) 4♣:

Spoiler Results: 18,026 pot (0 rake)

Final Board: 6♠: 5♥: T♣: 2♠: 4♣:

Hero shows A♥: Q♠:: (High Card, Ace)

(Pre 24%, Flop 13%, Turn 7%)

MP shows K♦: A♦:: (High Card, Ace)

(Pre 76%, Flop 87%, Turn 93%)

MP wins 18,026

Moving on starting this week, I will play only 1 satellite for every event that I want to play and if I do not win it, I will buy directly into the event that I would like to play, I believe that on long term this is a better idea and it will save me a lot of time and money.

The plan for today is to play this events, and also I will play daily phase 1 ( $2.20 daily and $11 one every 2 days ) tournaments until I managed to qualify:

On the weekend I managed to play the $300 CC Freeroll and finished 35th. Haven't play many freerolls lately. Also Today before the tournaments start I will study more and I will review the gameplay from the weekend.

So the bankroll starting this week is:

Played from 08.05.2023 to 14.05.2023

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $1259.08 + T$ 364.93 = $1624.01

Current Bankroll: $1269.62 + T$ 271.96 = $1541.58

Profit from last week: - $82.43

Goal: $10 000

Take care guys and good luck at the tables.

PS: I'm starting to love the river

I don't play that many, maybe 1 or 2 every other day. It's a nice way to win some tickets. For example last week I played 7 and won 3 for $8 and 1 for $11 ticket, pretty much even (a small profit) ♦

My problem is with the satellites, It seems that I loose more money there then if I would just pay the buy-in. That's why I decided to try 1 satellite per event and if I don't get a ticket I buy-in directly.

Hi guys,

On Monday I played only the SCOOP 45-L event, unfortunately I played to aggressive QQ on a 10A10 flop and got shoved by the CO and I folded to his push, and couple of hands later I shoved 20bb when I had 55 in the BB after 2 players just limped before me, and CO called again my shove with AKo, and a K came on the turn so I was out.

Yesterday was a "nice day" I played 2 SCOOP events ( I still forget to play the phase 1 events....being in a separate tab messes me up ), as you can see from my above post in the $11 SCOOP 51-L I played few hands and decided not to re-enter, but I played the SCOOP 49-L and managed to cash, finishing 1374th.

The plan for today is to rest and I'll be back playing Thursday this event.

This one I'm not totally sure if I will play it since it's starting a bit late. And also I need to remind me to play the phase tournaments.

Take care and good luck at the tables.

Hi everyone,

Yesterday was a short SCOOP day for me, I played the two events but exited in both after about 1 and a half hours of play.

In the $2.20 event I was out right after this hand:

PokerStars - 70/140 Ante 18 NL (8 max) - Holdem - 8 players

Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3 (http://www.holdemmanager.com/)

SB: 9,319 (66.6 bb)

Hero (MP+1): 13,105 (93.6 bb)

CO: 10,392 (74.2 bb)

BTN: 6,905 (49.3 bb)

8 players post ante of 18, SB posts 70, BB posts 140

Pre Flop: (pot: 354) Hero has K♦: A♠:

UTG calls 140, 2 folds, Hero raises to 774, 3 folds, BB calls 634, UTG calls 634

Flop: (2,536, 3 players) 7♦: 8♣: A♣:

BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets 1,699, fold, UTG raises to 9,982 and is all-in, Hero calls 8,283

Turn: (22,500, 2 players) 2♦:

River: (22,500, 2 players) J♦:

Results: 22,500 pot (0 rake)

Final Board: 7♦: 8♣: A♣: 2♦: J♦:

UTG shows 5♦: A♦:: (Flush, Ace High)

(Pre 31%, Flop 18%, Turn 25%)

Hero shows K♦: A♠:: (One Pair, Aces)

(Pre 69%, Flop 82%, Turn 75%)

UTG wins 22,500

The $3.30 event was an interesting one (it's the first time I played this type of an event), after the first hour is pretty much a lottery, most of the table had around 5-12 BB and we where all push or fold mode. Unfortunately after first hour I was left with 9 BB and I shoved 22 form the UTG and I got called by SB with 59s and by MP1 with A6o, I was ok until the river when the A came. You have to love 💘 the river...I think I'm developing a relationship with the river

Today I will play only this events and also some freerolls:

Good luck and have a great weekend.

Hi everyone,

Week 2 of SCOOP has ended, this week I played 12 events ranging from $2.20 to one $55 (to which I qualified via satellite ). On Monday I played the 45-L event after I qualified from a $1.45 satellite, I played well that tournament until this hand:

Do you guys call here? Looking and re-viewing the hand I think I should check back the turn and call a bet from BU on the river (that if it is not a shove from him)

After 2 hands I was out when I shoved 55 into AKo and the board came 7QK67

On Tuesday I played 2 event that I qualified from both via satellites: the 49-L event (finishing in the money as I showed on one of the above pots ) and the 51-L event (where I was "killed" by the river )

After that I had a break until Friday.

Friday I played the SCOOP side events ($2.20 with 10k Gtd and the $3.30 Rounder PKO ), there where nice events to play but unfortunately I did not cash in any. On Saturday I late reg into the $5.50 SCOOP 69-L event starting with 40bb ( after wining a ticket from a $0.75 hyper-turbo 16 players SNG ) in this event I played well, but unfortunately I called with 1010 a shove into 2 players. The last tournament that I played yesterday was the SCOOP 78-L $5.50 PKO in which I finished 200 and managed to get some bounties.

Overall this SCOOP event is rough for me, but after re-viewing the way I played, I noticed that even though my luck is not there yet, I played good and managed to eliminate a lot of mistakes that I used to make. So for this last week and a half left of SCOOP I will play some more events and also try to qualify to the Low Main Event (if I do not managed to qualify via satellite I will buy-in directly ). Let's hope I can turn in around and get a big score in one of the events left.

Starting this week the bankroll is this:

Played from 15.05.2023 to 21.05.2023

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $1269.62 + T$ 271.96 = $1541.58

Current Bankroll: $1304.36 + T$ 215.33 = $1519.69

Profit from last week: - $21.89

Goal: $10 000

Do you guys hit one of this chests? I only hit the chest that is at no. 10 and won a $0.50 SCOOP ticket

PS: on GGPoker I'm playing a lot more then on this challenge right now, I had some nice results lately there My GG Results (https://www.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?postid=3401836#post3401836) It seems that GG are wining the battle of the platforms for me. My time on Pokerstars has gone down a lot in the past months.

Have a great week everyone.

Hi guys, since Monday I haven't played any SCOOP events, but I was playing 2 $4 Spin & Go's every day in order to unlock the daily dice.

Wednesday chest from 43 level had a $4 Spin ticket, Thursday I played 2 $4 Spin & Go's and got my chest after the dice got 1, so I unlocked level 44.

Lucky 44 had this in it

I guess I'll be playing the Main Event Low

I haven't played any poker today, I will play some later

Hi everyone,

I'm back from my mini-vacation and later today I will bring the latest Weekly update. Interesting thing when I was in Paris, I tried to log in my Pokerstars account from my mobile phone to see if I am able to play ( since I am a global market player ), I was able to log in, but I was not able to play.

And I tried the same with GGPoker, but in there case I wasn't able to log in at all. (a pop-up appeared and said that I can not play do to my location ).

At least I had a nice time off without any poker

Hi everyone,

For the last week of SCOOP I played from Monday to Friday only 2 $4 Spin and Go's a day in order to complete my daily chest, I got to level 49 on Friday and I received a $11 ticket and also for the level 47 I received a $4 ticket which I used the next day. On Friday I played 2 side events a $2.20 PKO 8-max and a $5.50 Heads-up Total KO , in the $2.20 I did not reach the money and got no bounties, but in the $5.50 I got some KO's and got $7.35 in bounties, Saturday I played SCOOP 101-L and some phase 1 events but no results in any. Sunday I started with the SCOOP 106-L "Sunday Kickoff " here I qualified with a $1.90 hyper turbo sat, I played well until this hand:

After that I played some Main Event $5.50 sat with over 150 seats GTD just because it was good value, and also I played some more $11 and $2.20 phase 1 tournaments but I did not qualify to phase 2 unfortunately. Next I played the SCOOP Main Event Low with the ticket that I got from the chest, but I got out after about 4 hours of play.

Had a bit of history with this player and I had also a note on him that he defends the BB 100% of the time and plays agro with nothing postflop and slow plays when he has it post.

On Monday I played the main event again starting with 12.5bb and you know the rest All thing considered this year SCOOP was a bust for me. Now I'm back from a 5 day vacation and I will start playing again and studying even more. I'm committed to get my game to the next level and improve more and more.

The bankroll as it stands is at:

Played from 22.05.2023 to 04.06.2023

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50

Last week Bankroll: $1304.36 + T$ 215.33 = $1519.69
