Frequently I have questions or want to talk about something that doesn't really warrant its own thread. For example, once I finish Metroid Prime 3, the last game I got w/ my Wii that I've yet to play is Zelda. I've never played any Zelda games before. Would you guys recommend I play Ocarina on VC first? Or any other Zelda games?

It took me like 30 years to finally trust quicksaving in video games. And I still don't trust autosaves.

Anyone played Vampire Survivors recently? Saw a clip from Asmongold and it looked like there were tons of new characters.

I saw the newest guns expansion release or whatever. I was kind of shocked how much DLC and extra stuff they've put out since the launch of the base game back in, what, mid 2022? Was an easy game to jam 50 hours into, so mindless and simple. Haven't played it since the base game though. Crazy good value.

Retroid put out two solid units in the last 6 months. Retroid Pocket 5 and a new Flip 2. Both OLED screens and can play up to some Switch games. Pocket 5 is arguably better, but I dig the flip. There’s something about a clamshell design. https://www.goretroid.com/

Maybe, My Summer Car is very (and sometimes unfairly) unforgiving. I assume Winter Car is the same.

I beat Snowhead Tonight!! And yes, I figure I've picked up the game at least 10 times, so I rounded up to 20. The first time I played it when I was 12 I didn't make it out of Clock Town. Snowhead Temple was really ****ing good.

I gotta give The Witness another chance. And likely another approach. I did a couple line puzzles, I explored 1 path briefly, I played for an hour. I felt immense loneliness in the game and felt like it had no point.

Put quite a few hours in to The Witness, but is another game where I ended up just playing vicariously through the Cracking the Cryptic guys, as they are way better at puzzles and are infinitely more patient than me. Such a clever game.

I'm just that starstruck. Really tho, I own the game and was planning on trying it again. I've listened to some gaming interviews lately that talked about the game, and it seems there is something really interesting beneath the emptyness of how it starts out.

I have to admit, as a non-GTA player, and bit of a contrarian, after all the hype and memes (more expensive than the Burj Khalifa, etc.), a bit of me is kinda hoping it's garbage.

I have a pretty old PC (like 6-7 years old and was a budget build at that time). Maybe GTA6 can run on my Steamdeck. But I'd probably say a Rockstar game is about the only AAA title that would have me itching to play that style of game. The big studio games just aren't what they used to be.

I believe it's only being released on PS5/XBOX, and is optimized for the PS5. It's the only reason I upgraded to a PS5 Pro last year.

It will come to PC but it'll take at least a year and a half. Rockstar likes to double dip, so they release it for consoles first, knowing that a lot of those who buy it for console will buy it again once the pc version comes out.

Was looking for a deep retro game to sink some hours into. Stumbled across Uncharted Waters New Horizons for SNES. We never had the console growing up, so I missed this one entirely.

() Started out playing on my Analogue Pocket, but quickly switched to the NSO when I found out it’s on there (rewind feature, **** yeah). It’s exactly the kind of gem I was looking for. Love how dense the game is and I’m absolutely charmed by the music. Going to be enjoying this one for awhile.

Reviews are starting to creep in for Order of the Sinking Star. People love it. Reviewers basically criticize it for being too big lol. I think I'm one of the people who it will take 500 hours to any % it...I'm up for a challenge. Spoiler Show

Cliffs: sokoban on PEDs from another dimension. the core puzzles can be found on puzzlescript.net (Heros of Sokoban, Skipping Stones to Lonely Homes, The Promesst, Mirror Isles). The overworld is a giant sprawling living puzzle. Each screen has puzzles you teleport into. There are many characters and the voice acting is great and the writing is really good. It's a chill game where you can go at your own pace, but it's also extremely large and ambitious to play. I think the graphics are beautiful too. The game is a work of art, which took 10 years to complete.
