I have been little sick, but it looks like I am able to host the Primetime tomorrow. So let's do it! Plan is to play live games, but we can take false start to [ https://www.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?threadid=438890 ] and do a member session review. If you want to be the Talent, just contact me via community tool or at Skype (same nick as in here) and send hand histories of one session to me. Your nickname can be hidden, and I will review the session in live stream. First come, first served.

See you tomorrow!

nsavovRegular37 posts

Sure, I might be able to run a session if nobody else wants it...

The issue is it's from Microgaming, so any folded hands that aren't in the blinds aren't recorded. Also it only works with HM2 v.8454 or older; I'm not sure about PT.

Wrong.

Dont limp preflop, especially this weak hand.

Dont minbet ever, like on the flop here.

Dont cold call pot bet-reraises with weak holdings, like on the turn.

KyyberiHigh Roller538 posts
Posted May 25, 2018, 9:10 PM#61

That should be posted to hand discussion forum: https://www.pokerstrategy.com/forum/board.php?boardid=1678

Anyway, I would either pot it preflop or fold. On the flop just check back. What ever the turn is, it's not good for you. Even K or 3 are problematic if opponent starts to raise you. And every other card is a scare card for you. On the turn when people start to put money in you most likely have max 4 outs. That means you will hit full house 10% of times, so you can't call pretty much anything with that.

Santa brought three presents for us. One is a free coaching for PLO or mindset/mental game with me. Second one is Lucky Dollar. Third one is one month status upgrade. As most of us have been nice, Santa couldn't decide whom to give those presents. So here's how it works:

Free Coaching: In the stream there will be a Naughty or Nice Counter for Prim. For each hand reviewed, she will get 0-5 points. 0 is for being naughty for playing it a bit wrong, 5 would be really nice for playing the hand perfectly to the showdown. So well played hand ending on the flop would be 1-2 points, same for turn 3-4 points and so on. And as Master Elf, Kyyberi can give more or less points if he feels so. To help Santa's Little Helpers, there is a thread for your predictions. Please post your prediction before the stream starts, deadline shortly after 21:30 CET today. Thread can be found here: https://www.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?postid=2957062#post2957062

Lucky Dollar: Everytime Prim gets 5 points (or if Master Elf Kyyberi decides to), there will be a Lucky Dollar Raffle. Everyone in the stream can join, and each time the winner will get $1 to his/her Lucky Dollar account. Current situation and instructions can be seen here: https://www.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?threadid=403175

Status Upgrade: At the end of the stream, all the names in the Lucky Dollar Raffle will be used to make a spin for Status Upgrade. So if you joined Lucky Dollar during the stream, you will be automatically entered to this raffle too.

You could record the video of your play, but I'm afraid that, to get the right to show GG network gameplay on an official Pokerstrategy stream, you'd have to either play on Natural8 (the only PS-gy partner on that network so far), or at least somehow install its logo onto your tables, or use a neutral table theme. That said, as a super-mod, you likely know the current rules better than I do.

Oooh, it’s primetime again!!! Yipppieee!!!

Can I check whether my sessions were tracked correctly on Titan Poker? I can send something if you folks want?

I should add that when speaking there’s a technical issue: the hand appears much later than when I hear the question. It’s really difficult to describe anything because I don’t see the hand — there’s a slight time lag between what I see and what I hear.

Share screen and audio via Skype so there is no need to use stream that always has some delay. At least if connections allow that.

Ghale, this exactly didn´t work, then you hear some echo and see different hands, you don´t know which is which! I did that last time and was a huge mess!

Don't view the stream in the same client you're broadcasting with; use a separate program like Chatty to watch chat (though you'll be talking and likely won't have time to reply there except for urgent posts). That way you avoid the echo.

Alright, I’ll search for some CG hands on Titan (the Unibet PT4 method doesn’t work), but I’m not certain yet, because the new PT4 doesn’t track correctly on Titan and I’m seeing odd results and strange graphs. So for now I’ll just look for HHs first.

Imo, the opportunity to get a free review is worth playing a session at any compatible site, even one where you don't normally grind PLO (e.g. thoroughly selected Stars non-Zoom tables). As a short (half an hour) session suffices, the EV cost of playing it at a suboptimal site is only a few % of the BI.

(That was my logic when I played a set of $60 STTs at Stars, vs regs whom I didn't know, per Moshman's request, to qualify for his leakfinder being a regfish in iPoker €20-40 games at the time.)

Hi kielonus, the previous one happened last week, so it was roughly a month ago. You can find Kyyberi on Twitch, where he usually streams; because of some IRL matters, I think he'll be back on Twitch around the beginning of June.

Twitch streaming will be there at the start of June. Also the next Primetime will be at the beginning of June. If kielonus wants to request a certain topic, feel free to do so!

Quick question: is viewing available with bronze status?

Is there a link to the coaching session? (is it here or on Twitch?)

Hi Timmaywin,

The live coaching sessions are saved to the video section after a time -- but they require silver status (at least the previous ones did).

If you can find the time though, they are available on twitch for a few days after the session ends. So if you cannot attend the live session, check https://www.twitch.tv/pokerstrategydotcom/videos when you can.

Best of luck,

Hi Kyyberi,

You were asking for possible topics for future coaching sessions, and I thought of two possible subjects:

  1. Playing for second nuts. Example: you have raised with KKxx ds CO and get two callers, the flop comes T9x where you hit an overpair and a Khigh flushdraw and get a donk potbet.

  2. Having flopped top two pair on a draw heavy board in position, getting check-raised with only full house outs. Example, opening AJT8, flop comes

KyyberiHigh Roller538 posts

On AJT, you should check back AJT.

Alright, maybe the topic ought to be: balancing your play so you don't become overly aggressive

Another possible subject: how to play with danglers

(or simply how to approach particular hand types)

Where I play -- and at the stakes I play -- (PLO 10) almost every hand is multi-way, so the only way to play with danglers is

DON'T

Seriously, though to play large pots MW, it is really important to have 4 cards working together, and be as nutted as you can be.

But I do agree that a session on different hand types would be great...

Ho ho ho!

Time:12th of December 2019, Thursday at 21:00 CET

Status: Basic+

Target Group: Everyone!

To celebrate his birthday and Xmas, Kyyberi will be giving away 3 private coaching hours for PLO. To win one, all you have to do is to predict the outcome of Zoom-O-Mania.

Kyyberi will play 4 tables of PLO5 Zoom for 1500 hands in total. You have to predict following outcomes:

  • Total amount won

  • Total amount all-in adjusted (EV) won

  • Total number of pocket Aces during those 1500 hands

Closest prediction wins, and winner of each prediction will win one hour of coaching. Make your predictions before the stream at: https://www.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?threadid=499965

Rules of play: Kyyberi runs it always once, doesn't use cashout option. Playing 4 Zoom PLO5 tables simultaneously.

I want to learn how to spot when opponents are bluffing, and also how to recognize a favorable situation to bluff myself.

After watching Phil Galfond and VeniVidi go at it, I'm even more confused than before.

They play — and play aggressively — hands that, to me, fall into the “Are you out of your freakin' mind!?” category.

KyyberiHigh Roller538 posts
Posted Feb 7, 2020, 1:33 AM#160

Well, they play aggressive HU. There the ranges are quite wide. And if valuerange is wider, then bluffing range has to be wider too.

Half a year ago we talked about blockers. We could continue that topic, as it is quite relevant to bluffing.

ghaleonShark180 posts
Posted Feb 7, 2020, 7:40 PM#161

What is the typical default HU open-raise range from SB/BU? I feel we can open very wide, for example 80%. I also think discussing blockers in c-bet scenarios would be interesting. Even if we don’t block made hands or hold lots of equity, it can still be better to c-bet when we remove cards from the villain’s continuation range. Also consider spots where knowing the opponent matters: I might c-bet this spot versus a passive or unknown player, but check versus a strong or aggressive opponent.

KyyberiHigh Roller538 posts
Posted Feb 8, 2020, 3:22 AM#162

We won't be going to HU; we'll stick with 6max.

See you at 19th day, 21 CET!

ghaleonShark180 posts
Posted Feb 16, 2020, 7:13 AM#163

Yeah, but it's not that rare for 6 max tables to transition into heads-up play, and if the remaining opponent is weak it's probably quite profitable to keep playing.

For Ghaleon, in solver ranges HU BTN opens 85% and BB plays 69% of hands (call 51%, 3bet 18%).

Actually BTN opens 82% and limps 3%, but I would remove limp from standard HU strategy for simplification.
