I have played many card games, in Pubs for over 50 years. The only Poker Variant's I played was 5 Card Draw, or Stud Poker. On-line however I have been playing Texas Hold-em for over 20 years. It all started when late one night I found a TV. program called "Late Night Poker" and I was instantly hooked on the game, Especially when during the Break I saw adverts for PokerStars, and Full Tilt poker sites (https://www.casino.us/poker/) offering freerolls (https://www.casino.us/poker/best-freerolls/)!

So what harm could it do? I could play any time of day, for Free! and not risk losing my own money. It took a while to understand this new variant, but with watching a few Videos on-line, and reading a couple of books, I soon got the hang of it, and before long I was making free money.

I immediately saw that winning Play money games could lead you into trouble when you start playing for real money (https://www.casino.us/poker/), as the difference between the two is enormous, But I put this down to the fact that Poker sites have to make a profit, and for every player that can make a profit from these Freerolls, there are thousands of others that believe that if you can win money in a Freeroll, then you can win even more money when you buy into these games with hard cash.

The answer of course is Yes! You can, but! the problem then becomes if you lose your buy-in then you try again to win your money back by buying in to more games, I am not that gullible, I am happy playing Freerolls and Micro stake games, because it is nothing more than a Hobby for me. Money at my age means nothing to me other than a way to pay my bills, and I have that covered, So poker will always be a past time I enjoy, a little bit of Fun!

I played on Full Tilt too. And I played one that I loved, which was PKR Poker 3D. This had to be online today. I stopped playing for a long time, because of work. I started playing again probably 2 years ago.

Around 15 years ago we started playing holdem poker with friends, it wasn't as well known in Argentina at that time.

I signed up for poker in 2017 and started playing at the end of 2021.

I've been in poker for 5 years, and this mental sport has brought me joy, uncertainty, happiness, and even frustration (sometimes all of these emotions in a single hand). But over all these years, I've learned to be more patient and to control my emotions. It has been a good psychologist for me in terms of the game. If you want to progress and elevate your level, you absolutely must study in a school or in a didactic manner.

But I tend to join freerolls (https://www.casino.us/poker/best-freerolls/) and try to learn that way. 2003-2013 was like shooting fish in a barrel.

After 2013, the number of hours played has decreased every year. Partly because it's not worth my time just to earn a little extra on the side.

20+ years. First started on both Pokerstars and Ultimate Bet and honestly have to admit I liked UB's simple/clean software a bit between the two. Play now mostly at Pokerstars and a bit at GG poker. I don't prefer GG they've done a number of shady things and as far as I'm aware haven't had a licensed and tested RNG since around 2020/21 so I'm not very trusting of GG.

The online poker site (https://www.casino.us/poker/) offerings in 2025 aren't exactly amazing and don't give one a lot of desire to play so haven't been playing much this year. But fall/winter is just around the corner.

I think it's about 17 years. I started with a PokerStars promotion. We had to watch a poker show with Daniel Negreanu on TV and get a password, then go on PokerStars and enter a tournament with this password.

I believe it's been about 3 years now.

I started playing poker in 2007 when tournament broadcasts arrived here in Brazil.

Soon after, I started playing on Zinga Poker, which was linked to Facebook. I thought, "Once I'm playing really well, I'll create an account, lol." But after a while, I was playing on a friend's account and realized it was illegal, so I decided to plan how I could do it without spending any money.

So, in 2016, I started creating my own accounts (ACR, PS, 888, PartyPoker) and playing all the freerolls (https://www.casino.us/poker/best-freerolls/) I could. ACR was the key to this journey because it allowed withdrawals without needing to deposit in advance, so my ACR winnings would go towards unlocking my other accounts.

In 2017, I discovered that there were several CardsChat freerolls, and the Platinums were excellent. That's when I decided to join CardsChat and never leave. That's why I love this forum so much. In 2016, I also attended some classes on the Intelipoker platform, linked to PS.

And since then, I've been striving to improve as much as possible, but in 2018 I started to change my mindset to make this a profitable hobby, so I compete for all the tickets on the social media platforms of the sites I play.

Nowadays, with the current problem and no sign of recovery, I'm organizing myself to make a living solely from online poker (https://www.casino.us/poker/).

I started playing in 2012 when I met my now hubby and it was his life, I have learned from him watched him play hundreds of hours, yet it’s only the last year or so I feel it’s all clicked and I feel I know what I’m doing and good enough to win. I mean I knew abc poker and could win prior to that but about a year ago something changed where I felt confident I could win MTTs and did. Like the basics are ingrained so I could pay attention to all the important stuff that give you an edge, watching other players positions. Range, knowing how im perceived and using it to my advantage. You can learn how to play poker but stuff like playing big stacks big blinds , bubble play, final tables, getting information from different actions knowing your opponents range, what they do in situations etc; that only comes with experience and hours of playing - a feeling about a hand etc. it can’t be taught.

100% it is, firstly the buy ins are a lot less usually, secondly people don’t have to look you in the face when they play shit and bad beat you. When you play live there’s usually one game that night so people risk going out less whereas on line you can be playing multiple games or just jump in another.

Totally different styles of play and thought processes. Live is easier lol

I actually only considered this in my first two months playing online when I was a huge FISH. Then I started to learn how to play & realized if I put some work in I could win.

I have been playing almost 20 years, from the UK although I took a break for several years, I usually make a few hundred a year.
