Patience Wins More Than Luck ♠️

One thing poker has taught me is that patience can be just as important as having good cards. Folding at the right time has saved me more chips than chasing risky hands.

The more I play, the more I realise that every decision matters. It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement and play too many hands, but staying disciplined usually leads to better results in the long run. Sometimes the smartest move is simply waiting for the right opportunity instead of forcing the action.

I’ve also learned that every table is different. Some players are aggressive, while others prefer to take their time. Paying attention to how people play can be just as valuable as looking at the cards in your own hand. Reading the table and adapting your strategy has helped me improve more than anything else.

Of course, poker has its ups and downs. There are days when the cards don’t go your way, but that’s part of the game. I try to focus on making good decisions rather than worrying about the outcome of a single hand. Over time, consistency matters much more than one lucky moment.

Every session is another opportunity to learn, improve, and enjoy the game. Best of luck to everyone at the tables, and may your next big hand come at just the right time! ♠️🍀

Facts bro, folding is honestly harder than making big bets sometimes. Discipline really separates the long-term winners from the gamblers.

Real talk bro, folding at the right time is a superpower most people don't have. Patience pays off way more than chasing every hand fr.

folding is a legit skill tbh, takes more nerve than calling a big bluff half the time

Folding is an underrated skill tbh, feels way harder than it looks when you're in the moment. Spotting those aggressive players early and just waiting them out has saved my stack more times than I can count.

I get what you're saying but I think luck still has a bigger role than msot of us want to admit, you can fold perfectly and still get crushed by variance over a short session.

Took me forever to learn that folding isnt losing its just a tiny win you postpone.

yeah i used to think foling was for cowards but its saved me way more than any hero call ever did tbh. paying atention to aggressive players has been my biggest game changer cause you just let them hang themselves

Patience is solid but if the table’s full of nits you kinda have to stir the pot or you’ll just blind out.

I remember sitting for almost an hour without playing a single hand and then stacking a tilted player who couldn’t believe I finally woke up with aces. It realy drives home the point that folding isn’t weakness, it’s just setting the trap for later.

how do you adjust when the whole table suddenly shifts to passive play and youre stuck with no reads? i always find that part the trickiest honestly, patience is easy when the table is wild but it tests me way more when everyones just calling everything.

Man I love how you mentioned adjusting to the table vibe, it's like scouting a team before placing a big bet on the moneyline. Waiting for that one tilted player to shove is where the real edge hides tbh.

Sitting out a long stretch of garbage hands is booring but it sure beats donating chips to the guy who keeps raising every flop

Folded pocket jacks preflop once, vilain showed kings.

I get the patience angle but honestly sitting too long waiting for premiums just makes you predictable, and the moment you do raise everyone knows you’re holding something huge. I’d rather mix in a few speculative hands now and then to keep the table guessing, even if it means taking a small hit

Folded for 30 mins then tripled up when two players got into a raising war ahead of me
