I think it still holds some weight tbh, but maybe not as much with all these empty stadiums lately

Not really either honestly, feels like the real edge is more about travel fatigue than some magical home crowd boost these days

I bet on a home teaam last week thinking they were a lock and they got smoked 4 nil, so I've been side eyeing that whole idea ever since.

I lean more toward travel fatigue being the real factor over any crowd magic, but then you watch some clubs collapse completely on the road and it makes you pause.

Yeah Ive been feelig the same way lately, like it barely matters anymore. Do you think it varies a lot by sport though?

I dunno, it still holds up pretty well in some lower leagues where the pitch itself is a total nightmare for visitors.

Yeah it feels way less reeliable now. I still give it some weight in college sports though, the student section noise seems to actually rattle young players.

So would you say it's basically dead in top fight footy then?

It still matters in those tiny stadiums where the crowd feels like it's breathing right down yoour neck.

i usually check if the team playing at home has a strong defensive record there, cause some clubs just know how to shut down games on their own pitch even when form is sketchy

honestly it feels dead in the prem for me, feels like anyone can beat anyone anywhere this season

I still leaan on it for midweek cup ties when the travel schedule looks brutal for the away side.

Not really? Fair enough, so you just fade it completely now regardelss of the league or situation?

lean on it for weather impacted games mate

i only trust it now if the home squad has nothing to play for except pride, taht weird emotional spike can really mess wiht the odds in dead rubber games.

ngl i'm kinda iffy on home advantage too these days, travel fatigue seems like the real deal fr ?

zyxiqueNewbie3 posts

i sttill find it matters most when you look at the pace of the pitch, some grounds are way narrower and it rly messes with wingers

Haha I kind of hammer it for EPL squads who look wildly mispriced at home against mid table sleepers
