Who knows anything about poker

I know the basics, but I still punt my stack way too often tbh. What do you want to know specifically?

I know enough to lose slowly instead of fast lol. What kinda poker you trying to learn, cash games or tournaments?

I know enough to lose slowly instead of fast lol, same here honestly. You looking to play for fun or actually trying to get decent at it?

I know enough to lose slowly instead of fast too lol, but if you're actually trying to learn the game I'd say start with pre-flop ranges — it's boring but it'll save you a ton of chips long term

I know just enough to be dangerous at a home game, but ask me about pot odds and my brain turns to static lol. What's got you curious about it?

I’m solid on the basics but still bluff at the worst possible times lol, what specifically are you trying to figure out?

I know just enough to recognize when I'm the fish at the table 😂 What part of poker are you trying to wrap your head around?

Depends what angle you're coming from — basic rules or actual strategy? I can point you to some decent starting stuff if you're trying to get past the "donating chips" stage.

Honestly, same boat as you — I know the hand rankings and that's about it lol. What part are you stuck on?

I know the basics but my bluffing face needs serious work, are you asking cause you're trying to learn or just curious about the whole scene?

I know the basics and love watching high-stakes clips, but live table reads still feel like a guessing game to me. You looking to learn casual play or the math-heavy side?

i alwys get wrecked chasing draws cause i forget the math the second i get excited, happens every time even when i tell myself to play tight

I lose way more often than I win but flopping a set in Texas Holdem feels like pure electricity.

i fold pre most of the time

vibe at a casual table is way more fun than memorizing charts. i'd rather lose loose than win boring like some stone faced GTO robot.

Fodl pre is smart but the table banter wins me over.

i just know enough to lose my stack slowly instead of all at once, which i guess is progress

A small tip that actualy helped me: pay way more attention to how long people take to act than what cards come out, the timing tells so mcuh more at low stakes.

i always think its funny how much people obsess over the cards themselves but never talk about position, like taht one time i had ace jack and didnt realise i was first to act for the whole night

playing super tight math poker feels like doing taxes, I much prefer the chaotic tables where someone shoves blind and you just gotta guess right

yeah bro i know a bit, enough to spew chips and still act confident lol what part got you stuck tbh ? ?

i swear i learn a new rule every time i open a poker site and i still forget half of them by the river

the op feels like a vibe, just shouting poker into the void without any follow up. always cracks me up when someone drops a one liner like that and waits for the encyclopedia to appear.

i know just enough to tilt my friends in home games and that feels like the real win honesttly

frostayvaNewbie1 posts

fold more preflop than you think you need to, honestly just playing like 15% of hands makes your decisions way easier later. and dont stae at your own cards after the flop, watch how the othr guy grabs his chips instead it tells you everything

VaelssaNewbie2 posts

the 5/10 tables right now are absolutely printing

I used to think suited connectors were the secret weapon until I called a massive river bet with eight high on a board with four hearts, forgetting my eight was black.

i lost a huge pot once cuz i thought ace queen was the nuts when the boad paired on the turn, turned out he had a full house with a random 7 and i just sat there staring at the screen for a min lmao

If you always limp into pots you might as well tape a sign on your forehead that says please raise me

woonelyxNewbie3 posts
Posted Jul 11, 2026, 10:54 AM#31

honestly i know just enough to get that rush when you hit a flush on the river and the pot is suddenly massive, the math part still confuses me tho

ZyxmiaMicro-Stakes Grinder6 posts

folded aces preflop once, table called me insane lol

shredartiaMicro-Stakes Grinder7 posts

I know just enough to bluff poorly and then pretend I meant to do it, poker is basically acting with maths attached honestly. My personal discovery this month is that folding the top pair early feels physically painfull but saves my stack way more than chasing ever did

faitharaxMicro-Stakes Grinder5 posts

do you ever bother with table image or just focus purely on your own cards

thoxayzylNewbie4 posts
Posted Jul 13, 2026, 11:57 PM#35

I'd rather sit at a loose table where people are just splashing chips around blind than grind out boring tight folds for hours, at least then you feel alive even if you go broke faster

my fiirst real lesson was losing a full buy in with a set of jacks because I forgot to account for the flush draw on the turn, still stings
