Stopped calling three bets out of position with suited connectos and my graph finally went up.
Playing fewer hands overall was the real game changer for me, not just preflop but learning to let go when the board gets ugly. Once I stopped overvaluing middle pair my stack actually started lasting longer.
Sticking to a solid preflop range and ditching those marginal hands from early position made a night and day difference for me. Once I started paying more attention to opponent bet sziing tells postflop it became way easier to spot when they were weak.
Betting bigger for value wtih my strong hands instead of trying to trap really made my sessions explode. I used to slow play two pair on a wet board and get burned but now I just pile the money in and get paid off by worse hands way more often.
Wow I started actually looking at board texture before cbeting and it was like free money against weak regs who just give up too easy. Lowering my bluff frequency on paired boards alone turned me from break even into consistent winner in micro stakes cash
Respecting position was the first thing that actually clicked for me too, feels so obvious in hindsight. What really pumped my winrate though was folding to river raises at low stakes unless I have the absolute nuts, people just arent bluffing there as much as you think.
honestly just learning when to fold a decent hand postflop was it for me, used to call down with top pair no kicker way too much and its just lighting money on fire against anyone who isnt a total maniac
I started actually noting when villains changed their bet sizing on the turn and it clicked, one reg always bet tiny with draws and bombed with made hands so I just folded a ton more rivers aginst him.
stopped slow rolling my big hands, used to think I was being clever but people just get tilted and call wider when they're annoyed. Now I just scoop the pot and move on, winrate definitely went up after that lol
Tbh I think some folks overrate position for micros, like yes it matters but if you are just playing tight ranges from EP you arent really leaking that hard compared to chasing draws with bad odds out of position which I see way more often from the losing players.
man i started really paying attention to turn bet sizing and it changed everything, one reg at nl25 would bet like 40% pot with a bluff but 75% with the nuts and it was just printing moey to fold my medium pairs on rivers against that guy
does that hold true when you move up to 50nl tho?
position is everything tbh, used to play any two cards from utg like a total fish and now i just fold and chill ?
yesterday i shoved for 85bb with ace jack after a 3bet cold and the guy snap called with pocket queens, so i actaully bought a hand chart and sticking to it cut my stupid hreo calls in half instantly
I should try poker some day
bro i remembre winning a tiny 10bb pot with 72o as a joke once and then got it in my head it was my lucky hand, took like 4 buyins of stupidity to finally ban it from my range
