Yeah the quarter finals always feel like a turning point where everyone suddenly starts playing like their lives depend on it. I was pacing around my room during the last penalty shootout, could not sit still at all.

I stayed up way too late for that one and my sleep schedule is paying for it now, totally worth it though. The intensity just hits different when you know one mistake and you're packing your bags.

i watched most of these with the volume low tbh, half the commentary is just guys yelling over each other anyway. the morocco match felt like it was decided by one random deflection and that was pretty much it.
