Texas Hold'em is the GOAT for a reason: quick to pick up but takes ages to master.

Hold'em is the safer choice, but to be frank Omaha delivers much more action if you can tolerate the volatility

Hold'em is the classic for a reason, but Omaha is where the true degenerate fun happens if you can handle the brutal swings lol

Hold'em feels like my safe space, but Omaha is where my bankroll goes to die — and I keep returning anyway lol

Omaha hi-lo is too often ignored; everyone pursues the high and overlooks the low — half the pot is just sitting there.

I stuck with Texas Hold'em for years until I sat down at an Omaha table and saw a guy scoop a $400 pot with just a low hand against three people who all thought they had the nuts

Do you favor slow, consistent victories or are you aiming to hunt the massive multiway pots that explode on the river?

Cash games versus tournaments, though

last week i was grinding 6max holldem cash and got stacked twice by the same dude rivering me, so i swapped to omaha hi lo for a change and ended up scooping a massive pot with 2 3 offsuit from the big blind when the board came something like A 4 5 rainbow lol. honestly hi lo is way softer because half the table doesnt even realize theyre only playing for the high hand

i like how he put "opinion" as the whole post like he was waiting for people to argue over holdem vs omaha without even picking a side himself lol thats a vibe

Fold more preflop in omaha, so many bad draws out there

Texas Hold'em if your goal is to earn money long-term, but most folks I watch switch to Omaha don't realize how savage the variance is until they experience it themselves

If you're still deciding on a game, try a few sessions of short deck holdem. It makes you reassess hand strengths, and that mental shift by itself will hone your usual no-limit play.

I always crack up when an entire post is just "Opinion" and contains nothing else
