Huge profit
I believe poker is far preferable to slots or other quick casino games like blackjack because you compete against other players rather than solely against the house. If your skill exceeds that of your opponents, you have a solid chance of profiting over time.
I'd suggest choosing poker over most other casino options, but ultimately it's your choice and your money. Play responsibly and never wager more than you can afford to lose. 🙂
Stake poker is one of the harder ones to place in, imo, unlike other sites. You actually have competition and a favor chance to win. Love me some poker.
I've played a lot of blackjack and poker up to now, and I can say poker is always the better choice between the two — I lost a lot playing blackjack, and poker has been a huge help in recovering.
Poker’s solid if you actually learn the game, but calling it "safe" is a stretch lol. You can make profit long-term if you put in the work, just don’t expect it to be easy money.
Poker's only as safe as your bankroll management tbh. Can definitely turn a profit if you study the game, but most people just punt stacks away chasing that "huge profit" dream.
Poker's my go-to for plenty of reasons, but safe? nope, not really lol. You can grind steady profits if you stay disciplined, but it's far too easy to tilt and dump stacks chasing a fast score.
Poker is a grind, not a winning ticket. You can earn a profit, but it's never "safe" unless you recognize when to fold.
Poker’s enjoyable and can make money when you know what you’re doing, but calling it safe would be an overstatement. It’s far too easy to tilt and lose everything if you’re not cautious.
Poker’s the game that actually involves skill at relative to the majority of casino games, but seriously anyone insisting it’s "safe" just hasn’t been river-crushed enough times yet lol
Poker is absolutely a game of skill, but "safe" would be the last adjective I'd pick for it lol. You can slowly grind out earnings if you stay patient, yet a single tilt-filled session can erase weeks of effort in one go.
Poker's excellent if you genuinely invest the time to learn, but calling it safe feels odd when variance can knock you down in a single session lol. It's really about a long-term edge rather than fast, massive gains.
that was a solid game, to be honest
I treat it like a part time job with strict bankroll rules, if I lose two buy ins I just close the client no matter what. Profit is real but only if you treat it like a maarthon and never chase losses.
I'd prefer to be defeated by a stronger opponent than to keep winning solely by chance.
Poker isn't safe in the normal sense, but if you're skilled the upside is enormous — you just have to ride the variance. One time I saw a friend triple up on a bad beat and then dominate the rest of the table because tilt destroyed them.
Do you mean online or live tables mainly for that profit you mentioned
I saw you asked about huge profit but tbh that part is super risky if you're jumping in without studying spots and player tendencies first, you can lose alot faster than you think
Have you decided between cash games or tournaments for pursuing that huge profit you mentioned?
To me, poker seems like one of the few games where skill ultimately beats luck over the long run. I've had sessions where patiently folding weak hands earned me more than any fortunate draw.
How do win big money playing poker games
How does one even play poker?
Skill edge exists but variance still humbles everyone.
I really enjoy how poker lets you play the other people at the table and not just the cards. For me the biggest profit nights always come when I stop chasing every flush draw and just stay patient.
Pocket aces preflop feels unfair, but the real excitement comes from chasing that third ace on the river
Winning big takes time, not some shotrcut
pro tip dont chase every draw post flop, tight is right at low stakes since people call too wide and you just print money with value hands. also track your sessions even if its juust a notepad file, helps you spot leaks real fast.
When you chase those big swings, do you mostly play ring games or tournaments?
Do you play mostly live or online?
poker is my thing honestly, the psychological battles and sizing up opponents is where it's at. had an insane stretch last week in Texas Hold'em where I kept landing flushes on the river, felt like something out of a movie.
I dont know if I'd calll poker "safe" honestly, even with skill the variance can eat you alive if you're not properly rolled and a bad downswing can last way longer than people expect.
Folded all my cards except pocket kings, then walked away up 30 bucks.
It's acceptable if you request it for a single day.
I’m not saying it isn’t enjoyable and that skill doesn’t matter, but calling it safe seems wrong — one unlucky streak of cards can erase hours of gains regardless of how cautiously you play.
Fold more preflop than you believe you ought to; it prevents you from ending up in those awkward spots later on
Honestly the "is it safe to play" part got me thinking, some sites are shady with RNG but on a decent platform it’s just you vs other plaers and that feels way safer than house games
