honestly the tables feel really flat right now — they need more color to make them pop

The card animations in particular feel quite sluggish, as if every flip has a tiny delay that kills the pace of the game.

yeah i hear you, the general vibe is kind of bland and makes the whole thing feel almost like a placeholder. do you think it’s more of a layout problem or that the color palette needs a complete overhaul?

I remember playing poker on an old flash site back in the day where the cards made this satisfying snap sound when they hit the table, and I honestly think little details like that are what make a game feel polished rather than just functional. The layout has potential but right now it feels like walking into a hotel lobby where the lights are too dim to see if you are holding a good hand.

yeah the design feels super basic rn, almost like they forgot to add the soul

yeah i think the design is kinda lifeless too tbh. do you think they need better sounds and animations more than just cleaning up the layout?

gladeenliaNewbie3 posts

Do you think they even checked at what other poker sites are doing with their table layouts, or did they just rush this release?

no cap, le falta ese hype visual que te hace querer tirar all in ?

Honestly I enjoy the fast pace of play, but the table felt very static — almost like facing a spreadsheet. Adding a small animation for big pot wins would make those river calls much more satisfying.

It does feel like they focused on function over flair and now the whole vibe suffers for it. I find myself playing less because without some satisfying animations or table sounds it just feels like clicking through a dry simulation.

I don't mind the clean look but when you compare it to a site like GG with all the snap cam reactions and throwables, it just fels too dry to keep me glued there. They clearly put the work into making it run smooth so now they gotta add some life to the table or people will just dip back to the flashier rooms.

What's the distinction between poker and a casino?

yeah ngl se siente re verde todav?a, con unos tweaks al dise?o podria quedar mucho mas copado bro ?

Yeah the table interface is a bit plain right now but the hand history tracking is super smooth, makes it easy to spot patterns on the regular players at NL25. Once they add some table themes or card animations it will feel way more complete.

What specific part of the design feels most outdated to you, the table felt or the carrd animations?

GauzeickNewbie4 posts

Yeah the table setup is kind of boring, more like completing a tax return than being at in a poker room. They probably have the mechanics sorted but seem to have ignored the atmosphere.

Do you think it's mostly the colors or the card layout itself that feels off? I do like the quicker tempo, but the table currently reads a bit like a simple template.

sydneywyn0Micro-Stakes Grinder5 posts

Yeah the layout feels kinda soulless tbh

tyxoraNewbie3 posts
Posted Jul 11, 2026, 10:36 AM#26

the table felt too flat for me too, like the cards just appear with no weight at all. a subtle shuffle sound or chip click would do wonders for the vibe honestly

hollowioariumNewbie4 posts

I was playing last night and folded a hand because I thought I already had action pending — the layout really makes it hard to tell whose turn it is.

pyxolythNewbie2 posts

I tried it last night and the deal speed is actually pretty good for grinding, but seeing the pot slide over with no juice feels a lot like online poker from 2004. If they add some proper casino VFX on that river win, it’s going to blow up, honestly.

fr that 70/30 river just hits diiff when the ui is flat

True — the table does feel too flat; I just zone out.

I accidentally clicked the wrong spot twice on my first orbit because the fold button kind of blends into the background.

I tried it one time — the cards turned so slowly I actually nodded off, lol

I had four tables open on Stake Poker last night and my brother glanced over and asked if I was poring over a tax form, so yeah, the interface could use some personality.
