I play a tiny home game every month wehre the big winner just gets bragging rights and a cheap trophy, way more about the laughs than any real money. Still waiting for the month where I don't dump my stack chasing a flush draw though

Ring gamse or tourneys mostly?

I definitely prefer the longer tournament structures, feels like theres actually room to make plays instead of just flipping early. Ive noticed I'm usually either a small loss or I get deep and break even after rebuys which I guess is better than just lighting it on fire each week.

I’ve always liked how poker is never just about luck, there’s always that moment where you gotta read the table even if the cards are terrible

I run so bad in cash games that I've started just treating them as expensive entertainment, but thoes moments when you catch someone overplaying top pair make it all worth it.
