Peronally I think cash games are better than tournaments for learning because you can reload and make mistakes without instantly losing your whole stack.

my first week i kept calling big bets with just a pair of jacks and wondering why i lost, then someone told me to look at how wet the board was and suddenly it clicked.

Position matters more than yoour actual cards early on, I wasted months only looking at my own hand instead of who acted before me.

I got hooked after watching a sick bluff on a televised cash game, the guy had 7 2 offsuit and still stole a massive pot just by reading his opponent's timing. If you really want to learn, start with the concept of pot odds and outs because it turns the game from pure gambling into something you can actually calculate.
