How does poker works in simple terms

lmao bro the thread title got me confused af, but to answer your poker question – it's just who can bluff the best with the cards they got, fr simple as that.

lol I showed up expecting pig facts, but honestly poker is basically just sophisticated lying backed by math 😂

Dude literally asked two totally separate questions in a single post and then left 💀 poker is basically about persuading everyone else you’ve got stronger cards, honestly

KovaenneNewbie2 posts

dude dropped that pig riddle then asked about poker rules and ghosted 😭 but seriously, if you can read a pig’s expression when it glances up, you can read a poker table

you totally baited us with a farm animal and then sprang card games on us, I can't 💀 anyway poker in plain terms – the strongest hand wins unless you force everyone else to fold first

bro really said "what does a pig see" and then asked about poker like they're the same thing lmao, but honestly if the pig looks up at the right angle he sees the other player's cards so there's your answer

bro really threw us a pig riddle then asked about poker, classic drive-by post 💀 tbh the pig sees the flop before anyone else if he's sitting at the right seat

once my cousin swore a pig winked at him across the farm and then he went and lost 3 hands in a row thinking luck was on his side 😅 poker really is just holding your nerve till someone blinks first i guess

The pig looking up is a much easier riddle to crack than poker strategy if we're being honest, at last with the pig you just see sky or a ceiling instead of bluffing yourself into a bad call.

lol that pig likely notices the same clouded look in the sky that i get when someone shoves all in with 7 2 offsuit and somehow makes a runner-runner straight. honestly, if the chances of that pig discovering a poker tell are greater than my most recent roulette spin, i may have to change games.

Honestly if that pig ever caught a glimpse of a live PLO tabe at the Aria he'd probably have a better grasp of pot odds than half the guys I see stacking off with bottom pair and no redraw.

sylramia5Newbie4 posts

I think the pig sees the ceiling way more clearly than I ever see a bluff, at least the ceiling doesn't try to trick me into calling with a pair of fours.

i dunno, everyone says poker is so complex but honestly if you just fold anything worse than top pair youre already beating half the players at microstakes lol

Brother you are confusing me, what you saying?

I didn't vanish yet ,but this your definition need to be looked at another angle cause tell me is there a strategy in the face

The pig probably just sees the rafters and thinks about how they're holding up better than most of my starting hands. Poker is really just a slower way to lose money while pretending you're making tough decisions.

seriously don’t bother counting outs until you’ve played a few hundred hands — just concentrate on not tilting when some donkey hits a runner‑runner flush on you

DoseysNewbie3 posts

The pig sees the ceiling and poker is just folding until you eventually stop caring about the money.

peltioesse178Newbie2 posts

A pig looking upward has no idea about flops.

Do pigs even get pocket aces where you play?

sydneyaeund4Newbie1 posts
Posted Jul 11, 2026, 11:56 AM#23

Honestly poker is way simpler than people make it sound, it’s either you got the cards or you don’t and the rest is just acting. The pig probably sees a ceiling fan and wonders why it’s still spinnign while my bankroll isn’t

Not sure I'd call poker simple if you're the one always folding. You gotta mix in some bluffs or you're just paying blinds forever. That pig probably sees the barn roof and thinks it's the biggest tell in the room.

so if the pig looks up and sees a royal flush, deos that mean bacon just got a lot more expensive

imo lol this thread title is a masterpiece ? but yeah poker?s all about the bluff and knowing when to fold pre bro

I remember my first live game I was so busy staring at my own cards I forgot to look up and missed a royal flush on the board for a split second

I partially disagree that poker is merely folding until you stop caring; the actual game begins once you pay attention to how much information opponents reveal through their bet sizes and timing. A pig may only notice the ceiling, but I spot a missed opportunity to bluff the nit in seta 4
