Honestly just start with low stakes tables and watch some YouTube vids, you'll pick it up quick fr

Yeah fr just hop in the micro tables and play tight, you'll learn way more losing small pots than watching vids all day lol

fr just jump into some .01/.02 tables and play super tight, you'll get the hang of it way faster than overthinking it bro

Just dive into play money games on any poker app, you'll get the flow without risking a cent and it's less stressful to learn the basics

best way is just to play, tbh – grab a free app and grind a few hundred hands, you'll stop feeling lost pretty quick

Just play tight and don't bluff at micro stakes, people call with anything anyway lmao

Honestly just download a free app and play a ton of hands, you'll pick up the basics way quicker than reading about it

ngl just start with play money tables and watch a basic hand ranking chart while you play, you'll figure out what beats what real quick

if you're brand new, don't sleep on preflop charts – they keep you from bleeding chips while you figure out the rest

ngl the best way is to just hop on a free site and play a ton of hands, you'll pick up the flow faster than any guide could teach you

Are you trying to learn specifically for cash games or more for casual home games with friends, since the strategies can be pretty different starting out?

Start paying atention to position before your cards, it's the single biggest leak most beginners don't even realize they have.

A lot of people will say just jump into free games and grind hands, but honestly I think sitting down with a simple hand ranking chart and watching a few short videos on position first is smarter. You can waste way lesss time fixing bad habits if you know why folding trash in early position matters from day one.

I started watching those crazy high stakes streams on YouTube and honestly the mind games they pull off the felt are insane to study.

honestly pick one format like full ring cash and just drown in micro stakes hands, the repetition builds a kind of muscle memory for sopt recognition that theory vids alone dont give you. just dont go chasing fancy bluffs for the first month or so or youll bleed chips for no good reason.

I accidentally learned by folding every hand for an hour until my friend yelled that I was the table's official napkin holder.

I would pick watching and copying high stakes streamers over grinding endless micro hands any day, those players already filtered out the bad habits so you just absorb better lines from the jump. Learning the theory through seeing it in action beats memorizing a chart and then wondering why you still get crushed when spots get weird.

yeeah staring at hand charts helped me a bit but what really clicked was watching the final tables of a big tourney like the SCOOP main event and trying to guess why they shove 15 bigs with low suited connectors, the fold equity odds are wild

play money tables are undrrated tbh, just vibing and seeing what works without stressing

ngl best way is to just play those free games first, gets you comfy without losing dough ?

Honestly I just watched streamers lose huge pots and learned way more from their tilt than from any training site. Charts and free games are fine but you never really get the sick feeling of a 4 bet bluff gone wrong till real money hits the table
