Nice run, vikash! A grand in one night is solid profit—what stakes do you play?

Nice one! 1k in a night is a heater for sure, what stakes were you playing?

Sounds like a great session, 1k up is always a good feeling. Was it cash or a tourney score?

Thousand up is basically a new monitor or a small vacation right there, crazy to think of it like that.

Did you pull off one monster bluff or just grind thhem down over a few hours?

That "approx" wording hits different because we all know the exact number but poker players love leaving a little mystery.

nice run man just dont let the rush make you play too wide the next session after a big win is when I always bleed it back stupidly

A grand up feels like a month’s rent just fell from the sky. I always tell myself I'll cash out right after a score like that but soehow half of it ends up on a roulette table.

onyxariumNewbie4 posts

After a win like that the best move is to just step away from the table and lock it up, even if the game feels soft youll get overconfident and spew it back fast. I learned the hard way that a session break right after a big upswing is the only way my bankroll actually grows instead of yo yo ing.

Funny how you say "approx" like you lost count after stacking the fourth buyin, which is the best kind of night really.

cedaroloraNewbie2 posts

Almost dropped my coffee when I glanced at the phone and saw a four digit figure sitting there. Makes me weirdly calm though once the session ends, almost like now youve officially proven the grind works and everything after feels a bit less desperate.

Was that from a tourney bink or just a monster cash game session? Either way a g is a g, feels diffeent when you drag that many chips.

one time i hit a 800 dollar pot on a rivered straight and immediately ordeered sushi like i was a high roller for the night

Withdraw half and stash it somewhere hard to reach, your tilt brain wont bother with it there.

Thousand dollar nights hit diffrent, I usually go buy a stupidly expensiv dinner the next day to make the win feel more real.

Sounds like you ran a table over clean, hitting that 1k mark is one of those moments where you just sit back and feel unbeatable. If it was cash game hold'em I'd be eyeing that stack thinking someone definitely punted a few buyins on a nasty cooler.

ravoraMicro-Stakes Grinder7 posts
Posted Jul 11, 2026, 11:13 AM#31

The last time I hit something close to that I immediately withdrew 800 and left myself just two buyins for the next day. My buddy kept telling me the table was too soft to leave but I slept way better with the profit already in my bank account.

You run that up playing cash or was it a tourny bink? Hard to walk away clean when you hit a heater that big but honestly just letting it sit in the account for a day before touching it again saves me from so much dumb play

I once shipped a tournament for 1.2k and immediately the next morning my landlord texted me "rent is due." Gvae it away right on schedule.

set over set or just card dead for hours finally turning

wrenixeon14Micro-Stakes Grinder6 posts
Posted Jul 13, 2026, 5:50 PM#35

Honestly calling it "approx" is a red flag for me, like that usually means you were tracking it loosely and the win might be a bit fuzzy after rake or a couple of rebuys I have def been there and then checked the actual balance and it was way less than the high point during the session

shredartiaMicro-Stakes Grinder8 posts

oncce hit a similar heater and the dealer joked i must have the deck rigged, then i tilted half of it away ordering the most expensive steak i could find just because i felt invincible that night

My biggest single night profit ever came from folding pocket kings preflop when a tight player 5bet shoved and I actually listened to my gut for once, only to see him flip over aces at showdown 10 minutes later. Thhat discipline stuck with me way longer than any heater Ive ever had
