Winning consistantly is the hard part, anyone can run hot for a session but long term you need mad disipline and bankroll management.

l live is way more about reading people and tells but online you actually face way tougher strategy nonstop

I think the word "easy" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here because even pros lose sessions all the time, so it is not like you just sit down and print money. The game itself is simple to learn but the edge comes from folding when your gut says to play, which is honestly so boring to actually do.

No it's not easy. The game itself is simple but winning consistently requires a level of patience that most people just do not have.

I ran up a fifty dollar deposit to like eight hundred once in a single night thinking I was a genius, then lost it all in two hands the next day. The variance will humble you fast.

Online tournaments are a rollercoaster though, you can nure a short stack for two hours and then get coolered with queens versus kings right before the final table.

sat next to a guy at a live 1/2 table who was absolutely crushing it, didnt realize til he left it was his full time job and he just sared at his phone between hands like it was the most boring thing in the world, that patience isnt easy at all

I once flopped a full house and got called by a guy who thought his top pair was golden, felt like a genius for about ten seconds. Then the very next hand I bluffed off half my stack to the same dude. The game loves to build you up just to tear you right back down.

Try focusing on one table size at first, cash games or tournaments, and just nailing your preflop ranges instead of trying to outpay everyone postflop

one thing that helped me stop bleeding chips was literally muting the table and only looking at bet sizings, not the avatars or chat. once i ignored the bluffs and just folded marginal hands prefop my winrate stopped tanking so hard
