Most players honestly, almost all of them study using GTO (Game Theory Optimal), which is considered the mathematically optimal way to play poker. I'd recommend starting by learning GTO preflop ranges, since there are plenty of free resources available. Memorize those first, then try applying them in tournaments and see if you notice the difference. More advanced postflop GTO study is often behind a paywall, so preflop is the best place to start.
fr just nail down preflop ranges first, that alone stops a ton of the leaks without needing to go full nerd on the rest yet
honestly same boat not long ago, preflop charts cleaned up like 80% of my dumb losses real quick
tbh, stop playing every hand and fold way more preflop, that alone cuts the bleeding fast
preflop discipline is the boring fix that actually works tbh, just folding the trash hands you know you should will save you so many buy-ins over a session
fr just fold way more preflop, you're probably bleeding chips by playing too many hands you know are garbage deep down
ngl folding more preflop fixed my leaks quick 😂 🔥
preflop is the boring fix that works, but if you're already folding trash then start paying attention to position—playing out of turn is torching money without even realizing it
fold more preflop and don't chase every draw, that's literally half the battle solved right there
tbh if you're losing a ton it's usually less about fancy plays and more about playing too many hands out of position, tighten up hard from early seats and see if the leaks shrink
position is everything ngl, you can't play the same range from early as you do on the button and expect to profit
fr bro just fold preflop more ngl that cuts the dumb losses quick
stop calling down with second pair on wet boards, that alone saved me so many buy-ins fr
fold more preflop ngl, i used to play like every suited ace and wonder why i kept losing ?
Once I stopped limping J9 suited, my stck stopped vanishing.
Track one specific hand category you always lose with and just fold it preflop for a week.
honestly man i used to bleed chips calling down river bets when i knew i was beat but my brain went "but he could be bluffing". picked one session where i forced myself to fold any river raise without the nuts and it was night and day.
Play way fewer hands and the money lasts longer, it is boring but it works.
i started crushing once i stopped limping with pocket 4s out of position, late stage in turbo mtts just open shove those marginal spots early
folded KJ offsuit early and instantly bled way slower
yeah bro fold more and quit chasing every trash hand, preflop leaks be killin bankrolls ngl ? ?
focusing on folding preflop is nice but honestly what fixed my red line was forcing myself to fold top pair on wet boards. like yeah you hit something but if the turn completes every straight and flush draw you are just donating. made more profit from losing less than from winning big pots
man i feel this, went on a brutal downswing last week but i noticed 90% of my losses came from playing tired late night. switched to shorter sessions after work with a hard stop loss and actually ended a few buyins up. its crazy how much shapness matters even in micro stakes.
folded ace rag from early position for a whole sesh and actually saw my stack go up for once lol
i remember losing 5 buy ins in an hour with AQ just cus i refused to let it go after a blank flop. now i just toss it if i dont smash and weirdly my stack lasts way longer
fold ace rag pre so u see leess flops
shovve beats fold cause even if i loose i get it over
Folding more doesn't fix your river calls though
fold ace rag out of position saved me a ton honestly
sometimes just playing tighter isnt the fix if the table is super aggro and youre not adjusting by reraising more in position.
do u review the hands u lose or just jump to the next table
loose less by just folding when you got nothing and never slowplaying a monster tbh
Sorry
the title says "i loose many times" and honestly that misspelling is the first tell, you gota tighten up mentally before the cards even comme
