Folding Isn’t Always a Bad Thing ♠️

When I first started playing poker, I thought folding meant I was giving up. Now I see it differently. Sometimes, folding is the smartest decision you can make.

I’ve learned that being patient usually pays off more than chasing every hand. That’s one of the reasons I enjoy poker, there’s always something new to learn.

Good luck to everyone at the tables! 🍀♠️

That’s a cautious approach. I usually look at my position and the betting before deciding, but folding weak hands definitely saves you from a lot of trouble.

Real talk, patience is underrated. Chasing every hand just gets you broke quick 😂

Took me way too long to learn that folding a decent hand pre-flop saves more money than it ever wins chasing. Patience really is the secret sauce.

Facts bro, discipline at the tables is everything. Once you stop tilting and learn to fold, that’s when the real profits start coming. 💯

Took me losing a couple buy-ins on pure hope to finally get this through my skull. Now folding just feels like reloading for a better spot.

Took me a while to realize folding isn't weak, it's just passing on a bad deal. Keeping chips for a better spot is its own kind of win tbh

Took me losing a few stacks to realize folding is just saving ammo for a better spot, ngl. Way less stressful too once you stop forcing it.

Took way too long to drill that into my own head tbh, folding pre with marginal hands has saved me more than any hero call ever did.

Yeah, folding just means you’re not paying to see a flop you already know is gonna hurt you. Saves chips and sanity tbh

Yeah, the mental shift from "giving up" to "smart patience" is the real level-up moment in poker. Nothing burns a bankroll faster than chasing garbage hands out of boredom.

man when i finally started folding those suited connectors from early postion it felt like a cheat code, my stack actually survives long enough to catch a real run of cards. ppl sleep on how much math goes into a good fold, especially in tourneys where the blinds creep up fast

I used to think folding meant I lacked courage but honestly it takes more guts to wait for a spot where you actually have the edge instead of just gambling on a prayer.

That mental shift is huge, especially in tournaments where one bad call against a tight UTG open just torches 30 big blinds for no reason. Patience really is the edge.

i remember sitting there with pocket jacks and the board came ace king queen rainbow, just mucked it instantly. my buddy asked why i folded a premium pair and i said man that flop hit like half the deck already

yea the more i play the more i realize folding is just storing chips for a better spot later, my biggest leak used to be calling down with middle pair just because i was bored

yeah man i used to bleed chips so bad playing video poker on jack or better setups, just holding onto two high cards way too long when the math said dump em. once i started folding those borderline hands my return percentage shot up and i stpped busting out in 20 minutes flat

i just started applying this to live cash games and it's wild how much money you save not defending a weak blind against a 4x open with nothing, let the maniacs fight each other and pick your spots later

man i finally foled a flush draw last night when the pot odds were terrible and felt like a genius for once, saved half my stack and got it in later with the nuts. its crazy how that patience thing actually works when you stick to the math.

I remember folding pocket jacks preflop once after a tight player shoved over my raise and he showed me kings later. That saved my entire tournament run.

Yeah it took me ages to realise folding trash hands preflop saves way more money than bluffing ever wins

man ive been trying to unlearn that chase reflex in plo lately, folded a wrap draw on a paired board yesterday and wouldve been drawing dead. still hurts tho but my roll thanks me for it

totally get this, it feels counterintuitive at first but its just protecting your time and chips. for me the biggest shift was folding decent hands preflop from early position instead of tring to outplay the whole tabel right away
