Hey everyone! I've been thinking about diving more into poker on Stake, but I wanted to hear from the community first.

Is it really worth playing poker here? How’s the competition, the rake, and overall experience compared to other platforms? Do any of you actually turn a profit, or is it more for the fun and thrill?

Would love to hear your thoughts, tips, or even honest warnings. Let’s keep it real! 🃏💬

Not at the moment. Stake currently only provides 5 player and 8 player tables, both of which are very nonstandard formats. The lack of 6 max tables, which are the most frequently played online, is a significant competitive drawback. If you opt to play on 5 player tables, they seldom fill. Usually you’ll be fortunate to find three other players. In their present form, 5-player tables are effectively unplayable. On top of that, the redesigned table selection is poorly thought out. There’s no option to pick tables manually, and you’re often placed on at nearly empty tables, making the experience frustrating and inefficient.

Ring games were nearly flawless before, but the update seriously harmed them. Tournaments received an upgrade, which is nice, but at the price of ring games no longer justifies it for me.

Only that the ranking board updates so slowly, I have to keep refreshing to see my new rank.

Everything else is fine, I enjoy playing poker here.

At The current situation is probably not sufficient; it requires broader recognition through player sponsorship, running more tournaments (freerolls), and with time it could reach that point.

Their "All in" version is quite intriguing. I'm uncertain how I feel about the random bonus drops — I haven't encountered one yet. But I don't prod too hard.

Likely a bit softer, which benefits stronger players, but I suggest using the other popular options for higher-level players.

I’ve noticed these tournaments attract more players — definitely worth joining. I’m unsure about competing on the regular tables; I haven’t tried them yet but intend to.

I believe playing poker on Stake remains profitable because the player pool is fairly soft and the action is decent. I can't comment much on the NLH side, but I've tried PLO and PLO5 on Stake, and investing time and money there is worthwhile.

The rake on stake is incredibly high, but I still play and make a profit. I am sure thats because better players refuse to play with these rakes though.
